  • You join me for what was to be my final Tench fishing trip of late spring into summer, having enjoyed some good trips, this one was to be no exception and as the weather changed throughout this trip to an overcast day with the wind pushing into my swim I would enjoy a fairly prolific days fishing including my second largest tench and a seasons best Tinca.

    Don't apologise for the tench videos waving them monsters Infront of camera is good viewing.
    At the moment I'm only here for the pike and tench videos.
    A few years ago I was obsessed with Barbel and probably just watched them at the time.

    Buddy back to an old video, just how do you set up you lift float rig. Do you have a fixed weight on the line, or one of your run rigs? What size weight's do you tend to use, and floats?

    Because I work in a candy factory where we also have this dark syrup. Thought they might work like that too

    Mark how much do you rate the shimano tele spin and what strength line are you using on the reel

    • @francolinobasco
      @francolinobasco  Год назад

      Pat they are superb little rods for compact fishing, albeit casting weight maximum is at best 1.5, maybe 2oz if your are careful. The line on the reel is 10lb mate.

  • @EricPollarrd

    Not exactly sure what u mean with the low resistance running lead. What size is it? Looks pretty small. I like to go as max resistance as possible to ensure proper hooking but so often see such light set ups work just as well. Also what is the depth at that distance? I read prime depth for tench is 7-8ft

    • @markerd5378
      @markerd5378 Год назад +1

      It's a Gardner target run ring. Your quoted optimal depths for tench is very much a one size fits all term and not something I overly adhere to as feeding areas on lakes can vary a lot more than just one set preferred depth, be that based on time of year, weather, thermoclines etc. This particular lake is up to 15 feet in some areas, this particular area though I was fishing on a gravel bar around 6 foot.
