I'm also surprised and I'm Kenyan. We tend to eat each other's cultural foods. Not shocking to find a Luo eating Githeri and a coasterian eating ugali. We eat what's affordable and accessible.

It's a shock!! Someone told me, Kenyans tend to eat Ugali because it's more affordable and you can easily prepare it with any soup 🍲. Do you think it can be the reason or?

For 2 bedroom apartments under 20k they can try Githurai 44, Kahawa West and Kasarani. Ngumba which is just behind Garden City mall is also a good choice although rent might have shot up to 25k . Studio apartments in those areas can range between 9 - 13k.
I tend to think studios are the most expensive given the small size.
The trick to finding an affordable apartment in a prime area is searching the interior. You can find yourself paying a premium for living by the main road.
