@@M45N The problem is up to now it was mostly Europeans, Indians and Chinese who were moving to Kenya to invest or retire. Kenyans have been trying to encourage Africans to do so with incentives such as removing visa requirements and softening residency laws because, frankly, we would prefer our fellow Africans. Far less problematic.
@@M45N What you mean is you would never say it "publicly". I moved to Europe for university and saw first hand how abominably Africans are treated all over Europe. Even, I a student who had no intention of immigrating felt some of that discrimination. Only the UK makes a decent effort but even they are not perfect. For the most part, Black people are relegated to the fringes of society. There's nothing wrong in saying we welcome, and would love for Africans to move to Kenya in larger numbers. Although the Kenyan presence in Europe is relatively tiny, I've seen how immigrants from West Africa, North Africa and the Horn of Africa are treated there and it's not good. What's wrong with showing them they have a place where they're welcome in their own continent? But I did not once say that non-Africans are not welcome. I just said we would love more Africans to come.
@@M45N Not once have I said I speak on behalf of all Africans. But will confidently speak on behalf of Kenyans because I'm Kenyan. It's very easy to find a Kenyan who's never travelled who thinks life abroad is better because of the overwhelming propaganda from Western media outlets. What I guarantee you will not find, is Kenyans dying in the Sahara or drowning in the Mediterranean trying to cross to Europe. We're not that desperate. As for Kenyans who've had the opportunity to travel or live abroad, I can tell you the vast majority of us prefer our beautiful country because we know the truth and have experienced first hand that the media is feeding us a lie. I had a small network of Kenyan students when I was studying in France, I'll have you know that all but two of us have happily returned home. One stayed because she married a Frenchman and the other got employed by an IT startup in Estonia, but he's still using his earnings to build his Kenyan dream house. So, respectfully, please don't speak for us and say we all want to move to Europe. That is patently false.

Consider there is a large German school in Nairobi whereas even Kenyan restaurants or shops are extremely rare in Germany. 🤔 Interestingly, the Ethiopian lady who posted this video has chosen Kenya over Germany where she's had permanent residency. Do you want to ask her why she prefers Kenya?
This was exactly my experience with Kenya-Nairobi. The buzz! Wow. I visited the National Park too. I was blown away. MPESA was great. As a multi racial (white presenting) American woman, I found Nairobi and Kenya in general to be very welcoming, and exactly the kind of place I wanted to be! I moved there in 2009, and loved it! It’s multicultural multiracial, the pace of life and priorities of kindness, community, and the high quality of lifestyle that’s available was everything I wanted. The west doesn’t properly convey how modern Kenya (and Africa in general) are. There’s a thriving arts scene, great infrastructure, food from around the world at decent prices and high quality (like you would find in a modern western country, but with all the flair of Nairobi! I want to encourage ALL people to visit and see for themselves how beautiful it is and how modern it is! Don’t just listen to what mainstream media and western misinformation tells us!

I still recalled the day he passed...I was in Jr. High School when it was announced. However, I also had two teachers from Kenya who taught us Swahili and were very good for us. My time in Angola, due to work, it was a great feeling and a belonging to a great culture similar to the Caribbean. Felt at home...Welcome Home was my daily acknowledgement.
Nairobi is beautiful. Kenyans love nature and are very passionate about their green spaces and wildlife. It was fought for and came with a lot of sacrifice from great people like Prof. Wangarî Mathai. We have a National park in the city and parks like Karura, Ngong Hills, The Arboretum and Oloolua just a few minutes from the city center.
It’s important to note that Kenya 🇰🇪 is open to anybody who’s coming to invest, do business, explore the country as a tourist or study in our universities! Otherwise, we have no space for illegal immigrants who come here to idle around or do shady activities! Thanks for your informative video 👍 Love Ethiopia 🇪🇹 from Kenya 🇰🇪

Karibu Kenya, Weyni: You are quite on point, kenya has made a huge stride to modernise and yet not westernised. Happy that you have found kenya to be your new home. Yes the express way need to adopt to mpesa. I think they are considering this. I think this will be easier if mpesa can impliment contact less technology to speed up the queue. Besides national park and reserve, the forest, mpesa and fintech, kenya has also clean and fresh air, good weather and this mostly attractive to the Whites. Most Kenyans if not all friendly be use they are used to foreigners and many times you may hear them ask where are you from. This is because they have interacted with many people from different countries. The government may not be perfect but they have tried on infrastructures and adoption of technology. Hey you said that even beggars use mpesa, you are not wrong, just yesterday I watched young boys in Mombasa begging tourist for money for food and they said "you can send money via mpesa". It just shows how kenyan feel comfortable and safe with mpesa. Kenya is for all who find it a safe bode. In kenya there is no racist, atleast for the majority. My school in Nairobi used to opposite Nairobi national park and in the evening I used to hear lions roaring. There was a time that there were lions roaming along Mombasa road and everybody was safe. One day you may see masai cows crossing the road. Welcome to kenya with your children and mum. From the UK.

We have a lot of great business models in Africa, the challenge and opportunity I see is how do we accelerate capital formation so these businesses can serve as template in neighboring countries. There is no reason an African country or company should seek foreign expertise to do what is already being done by other Africans on the continent. Africa is rising. We shall overcome like MLK said.
White people have been visiting and immigrating to Africa for a long, long time. Kenya is the place to be. Modern western conveniences, outstanding natural beauty, wildlife, and beaches, friendly people, low cost of living if you're paid in USD, mild highland climate, etc
Firstly lets just tell you hiw beautiful you are. Now that i got that out the way let me speak on Nairobi as a diasporian who visited. I spent some 6 weeks there thanks to remote work capability. I stayed in Ngarra Flats as well as Mountainside. Both airbnbs i stayed in had all modern amenities. I voukd go down to the cirner gas station abd get oizza or chicken or both. I went shopping in first world supermarket Naivas which has even more space and stuff than any publix, Kroger or Safeway in the USA. I went for coffee at Java House which is an upscale coffee shop in several parts of Nairobi. The Lavington and TRM locations were mostly the ones i went. My best dinners to date was at Mediterraneo restaurant in the Junction Mall, the lamb was Devine. Then i went to the coast and hit Diani staying at a beautiful airbmn owned by an intelligent beautiful black woman , then dined at Howards on Diani beach. I was with a group of 2 and had a few top things on the menu and drinks and my tab plus tips came in at $75. Dud i mention tgat the white sandy beaches on Kenyas coast is more beautiful and white and soft than nany the world over, or to the 4 continents I've visited Kenyas is the most powder sift and truly white sand. I also stayed at a beautiful airbnb in Mombasa and the amenities and square footage is one of the nicest i have stayed habing traveled globally. Model Naomi Campbell has a mansion in Malindi also on Kenyas coast. See that on youtube and tell me what it needs...nothing!!! My biggest complaint when in Kenya was , why in yhe hell are you guys not advertising this to the west...i was dumbstruck. Lastly as a man, Kenyan womennn, dayum. They dress amazing, fine as hell are very intelligent and all sowak English. Well now you know, go see it for yourselves cause i cant wait to return. Durect flights leave the east coast to Nairobi daily. Thank me later.
I honestly like the contents of your vlog. As a Kenyan married to an Ethiopian and living in London, we always get surprised whenever we visit both Nairobi and Addis Ababa by the developments both cities have achieved within the last 20 years. We are building in Kaliti hoping to rent out. That said, rental and property management in Nairobi is on another level. An estate agent in Nairobi will very professionally manage your property for you, collect the rent, source for new tenants and send you monthly rental income statements without fail. Of course Kenya being a free economy country we draw our rental income when we need it through online banking to our UK bank with no questions asked. Kenya is truly haven. The other magic that will shock you about Kenya is what are known as financial SACCOs. These are financial help groups that have been formed by members of the public where they save up and borrow 3 times the amount saved with the interest rates for repayment being mostly between 1-2%. These SACCOs fund businesses as well, can also be used to buy a home, pay school fees etc. I advise you to do your research on this and vlog about it coz it will amaze you the way Mpesa has amazed you. CHAMS Media has made a number of documentaries on different SACCOs. Now even the Kenyan diaspora abroad have started forming their own SACCOs and building apartments for sale in Nairobi. Even the UN workers in Nairobi have their own SACCO attracting hundreds of other UN workers worldwide. Dr. Abiy is also doing marvellous things in Addis not to mention that Addis has the first electric trams in Sub Sahara Africa. Ethiopia is a beautiful and amazing country unique in its own spectacular way.
Wow, thanks for the info. I will definitely research this and will also soon speak more about real estate and airbnb business in particular. Hope that will help you guys with your project in Kaliti. Keep it up!
You forgot to mention the other tourist attraction spots from beaches, mountains, restuarants, hiking , lakes, rivers, White water rafting, you name it Kenya has everything

Please proceed and tell me what I actually believe in my mind since you know better. Please explain the same to the many Europeans who've chosen to retire in Lamu, Watamu and Diani over their own countries.
@@M45N Again, the millions of African migrants in Europe are none of my concern because they're not Kenyan. I know you have plenty of Nigerians, Somalis, Moroccans, Senegalese, Ethiopians and Algerians, Sudanese, Ghanaians etc but very, very few Kenyans, because we love our country just fine. You say Diani isn't the same as it was 20 years ago, but I could say the exact same thing about Paris, Venice, the Costa del Sol, Capri or anywhere else, for that matter. They were all better, different places 20 years ago. So? Analytics show property prices in Kenya are high mainly because of international buyers, especially from Europe. You can't deny that fact. I too would love to afford those overpriced villas at the coast. Maybe if I wait a couple of years, the market will dry up and hopefully the European prices will come down to more acceptable prices for Kenyans. I find it a little disturbing that you've taken umbrage to the fact that I, a Kenyan, dared to say that we would prefer more Africans (and the Black Diaspora) to come to Kenya. What is wrong with what I said? Is it the fact that I'm not displaying the same reactionary xenophobia Europe shows these same Africans? BTW, I realise I don't know who I'm having this discussion with. What part of Europe are you from? And what's your interest in Kenya if you hate it so much?
@@M45N Are you in the habit of dodging questions with your own? Okay, I'll bite, just to show good faith: 1) Where do I start? Europeans like to paint Africa as lawless and crime-ridden, but I myself had never encountered crime directly growing up in Kenya until my first night in Europe where I was robbed for the first time in my life when they stole my whole suitcase with everything I had at the Gare du Nord in Paris. As bitter as I was, I didn't hold it against the French because Paris is a big, busy city and crime is to be expected. However, over the years, I experienced first-hand what it's like to be black in Europe ranging from minor hostility and micro aggressions to blatant xenophobia and overt racism. These could be from strangers on the train, to waiters and shopkeepers, to landlords and even civil servants. The problem seemed to be assumptions based on my accent and colour of my skin. I gathered that people would infer that I was a refugee or illegal migrant even though I wasn't. I noticed my white American colleagues, for example, never had the same problem. I was oblivious to the microagressions at first, but a black American friend tuned me to the fact and taught me to notice the ones that were going over my head. I should add that I met many kind, friendly and open-minded people as well, but the bad experiences are hard to ignore. 2). You've explicitly implied to another poster that Kenyans are a corrupt, thieving, untrustworthy, deceitful, unwelcoming people once you settle here, and that lady who posted the video would see a different side once she starts living here, do you deny you that? Did I answer your questions? Now will you answer the specific questions I asked?
@@M45N When I say they're "not my concern", I mean not my responsibility and I can't speak for them. But I'll not be shy to speak for other Kenyans like me, even though we're not a monolith.

Many times I visited Kenya, stretching from Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru to Nairobi. I just felt good and I am seeing myself moved to Nairobi. It was such a beautiful experience and a good feeling.
As a Nairobian, Thanks for the compliment and you are welcome to stay. Many here dont realise how good they have it for some things we take as normal. Recently traveled to Dubai and i was frustrated as to why i cant get something delivered from a shop across the city in 2 hours and pay the seller direct on delivery, they told me 3 days. Why? The expressway and mpesa has other reasons that they dont want to say. It would take a day to integrate using a minimum mpesa paybill direct to an their bank account but for some reason they want paper only...
My take on the express and why they do not take Mpesa. The expressway is financed by China on A PPP. Meaning China has to recoup all its money plus profit then returned to govt. The govt of Kenya thus does not derive any revenue from expressway until its paid off. Now using Mpesa will mean China will have to cede some of their revenue to Mpesa in form of fees for using Mpesa. China being who they are see no reason why they should pay Mpesa a fee for a project they have financed. They i want 100% revenues going to their coffers. But China should rethink this since if they allow mpesa the more people use the expressway and the faster they recoup their money.
Thanks for loving us.We love our neighbors too. Ethiopians are great to work and interact with even here in the dispora. Africa is getting it... right. One step at a time

All Africans are welcome to visit Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
@@M45N Of course not. I do not blame. We do not want Africans in our countries. This woman is a mixed breed
@@M45N I'm slightly amused by your stereotypical German arrogance (ironically, my parents next door neighbours in Nakuru are German 😂) as you purport to know more than an actual Kenyan what the majority of Kenyans think. Of course you'll find some who've emigrated and are happy. But 👏🏾they 👏🏾are 👏🏾not 👏🏾the 👏🏾majority 👏🏾. Speaking of which, do think there are more Kenyans in Germany or Germans in Kenya? Consider there is a large German school in Nairobi whereas even Kenyan restaurants or shops are extremely rare in Germany. 🤔 Interestingly, the Ethiopian lady who posted this video has chosen Kenya over Germany where she's had permanent residency. Do you want to ask her why she prefers Kenya?
This was exactly my experience with Kenya-Nairobi. The buzz! Wow. I visited the National Park too. I was blown away. MPESA was great. Do you know you can transfer money to anyone in the east african region, but wait for this.. Bangladesh, Pakistan, Malawi etc as well! Incredible. West Africa is totally divided and asleep. And yes, i could withdraw $ at the ATM. I kid you not! The kenyans are flying. My Nigeria needs a lot of waking up to do. I was shamed

As Kenyan we love our visitors and guests. We might have differences at home.but we keep it for ourselves. Our visitors are our first priorities.
Thanks for showing the world how beautiful Africa is and specifically Nairobi. Good job!

I am from the Caribbean and have been to three Countries in Africa. Kenya was always the top of my list due to it`s History and the work of Jomo Kenyatta.

No country beats Kenya if only the government helps the poor so we could minimize uchokora/ wizi. Kenya in my heart ❤️🥊💯🎩🫵🏽

First time subscriber from the US by way of Zim. Awesome content. The penetration rate of 96% for mobile money is super impressive.
Zim citizens abroad have self-help groups and do buy properties in SA. We should scale up big time and eradicate poverty.

Wow very informative and brilliant analysis from you there, I have been always loved Kenya🇰🇪 and Kenyans though am from Nigeria🇳🇬
I have never seen an honest, accurate and lovely pitch of My Nairobi like this before. God bless your work. Unfortunately you are more beautiful than Nairobi.
Welcome to Kenya capital of Africa ❣❣💯💯 Karibu Kenya
Lol no the heck it ain’t stop.😂 Your still lagging behind Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, South Africa etc.
Great video, best I've seen on Africa. I was already planning to move there.
Great channel am A Kenyan living is Seattle and my best friend is Ethiopian….am learning a lot about Ethiopian culture and country
Keep it up!
CHAMS media! Does he report on Jigger Victims?
I live in USA and I am so so inspired by this information.
May Our Lord and Our God keep elevating Kenya and the entire Africa we pray.Yes Lord.Amen

@@M45N Not the OP, but me I've only visited Switzerland, Austria,Spain, Germany, the UK, Sweden and Belgium. I've lived in France and Italy and moved back to Nairobi a couple of years ago. Kenya over Europe any day of the week. Sorry to say this, but Europe has plateaued and isn't getting better. Kenya is improving.
@@M45N I'm Kenyan not European. I'm telling you my quality of life in Kenya is much, much better than when I was living in Europe. I too moved to Europe thinking it would be better but it was a lie.I did not like it for a variety of reasons. I'm also telling you that I do NOT want to live in Europe ever again.
