1. Nelson Mandela wrote in his autobiography, “Ethiopia always has a special place in my imagination and the prospect of visiting Ethiopia attracted me more strongly than a trip to France, England, and America combined. I felt I would be visiting my own genesis, unearthing the roots of what made me an African.”
But this was long ago and Ethiopia trained and supported Mandela, so of course he had a very special interest to the country. If he was still alive now, he would have been disappointed on what the country turned into.
Mandela was a faliure the ANC is failure in south africa

A calm spirit indeed. That's why I ended up marrying one as my country women(Nigerians) were too hot-headed and aggressive for me to handle.
There is a lot of descendants of Moses in Ethiopia, and he was a very meek man the Bible says. They have the meekness of Moses hopefully.
They just have been domesticated (civilized) much longer.

Super nice.
I’m Ethiopian (born and raised in the United States). In undergrad, I had the opportunity to study abroad in China, London, Spain or Kenya. Of course, I chose Kenya. It was the greatest experience of my life.
It was truly a study abroad experience. I learned Swahili, learned how to make several Kenyan dishes, spent time in challenging communities and made lifelong friends. Very peaceful nation.
I love Ethiopia. I love being Ethiopian. Ethiopia is absolutely rich in history & culture, but we have a lot of unresolved issues that are internally established.

I've said it before: Kenya 🇰🇪 and Ethiopia 🇪🇹 are sister countries and the definition of good neighbours. In an extremely volatile region, these two countries have never had geopolitical tensions or gone war. Ethiopia even sheltered Kenyan freedom fighters from the British during colonial times. The only place where Kenyans and Ethiopians are in direct competition is on the running track.
Nairobi and Addis Ababa compliment each other so well. They are both beautiful safe cities that attract tourists and international organizations. The world's greatest marathoners actually come from Kenya and Ethiopia and these two countries can definitely take the sports culture in Africa to to greater levels. East African countries are very organized and seem to work well with each other for the common good. South Africa has already set the standards but If west Africa can learn from east Africa the continent will outshine Europe and America ten years from now. Instead of suffering in the west, the African diaspora should think about returning to Africa and in my opinion the best east African countries to move to are Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya.
We just need a train to connect

the two countries should work together to build an express highway way from Nairobi to Addis Ababa. It will make the cost of travelling very cheap. the flight is only 45 minutes but the bus can take 4 hours. you can have breakfast in addis ababa, lunch in nairobi and dinner in addis ababa. and you come back with the goods that you buy in kenya and sell them in ethiopia. in 2 years this will be a reality.

As an Ethiopian, I appreciate your fair and balanced comparison of Addis Ababa and Nairobi. You are not bashing your own country, but giving an honest and objective perspective. This is important for us as Africans, because we need to learn from each other and live in harmony. We must build a united Africa that celebrates our diversity and shares our common values.
Sorry, but why should she get to come into Ethiopia as she wishes? She's only doing this, becuase from the way she speaks, she sounds like a mixed raced woman, most likely her father is the AFrican one, and she thinks she can blend in as she wishes, meanwhile exploiting our cultures, our behavorism, our identity, our everything. You're sick to not see through these vultures. Her accent sounds like some African country in the the South...she should go live there!

I'm an American citizen who has/is considering moving to Africa withing the next 5 years. Addis Ababa was at the top of my list followed by Nairobi and a few other countries behind those two. I'm always hearing about how poor the internet connectivity is in Ethiopia, but on the other hand I also hear about the great people and the beautiful culture the country has. In my personal research, it also seems like Nairobi has alot to offer as well....and that it's more of a "modern" feel than A.A........I love this video and thank you for your comparison of these two cities. This will make my choice that much harder I'm sure, but where ever I end up relocating, I think I'll just be happy being a permanent resident on African soil.

I think Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and Kenya 🇰🇪 finding each other is the revolution East Africa needed. Kenya was more focused towards Tanzania 🇹🇿 and Uganda 🇺🇬, which is good and not in the North. But the opening of Northern corridor, by former President Uhuru and prime minister Abiy, connecting Kenya 🇰🇪 and Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is a game changer. Kenya is also a dual-citizenship country where one can hold more than one citizenship and this is an added advantage for us Kenyans in the diaspora. In my view, it is quite unfair on the part of the Ethiopian government to revoke Ethiopian nationals of their citizenship when they acquire foreign citizenships but, I believe that change is on the way for Ethiopians as the country continues to open up to foreigners and foreign investors.
Yeah that is true . However they give them a diaspora id card instead. I think they don’t want Ethiopian diaspora to be involved in domestic politics .
@@samatar1025 Yeah, I guess it's more to do with politics than anything else.
What's the big deal, they change thier identification. They can only have one identity I support it , you either choose to stay Ethiopian or not
Today the world has become a global village where it shouldn't really matter how many nationalities one acquires. We Kenyans once thought by allowing dual citizenship it would make it easy for an individual to loot and move all the wealth to other foreign countries but that was just a narrow way of thinking. Today, those Kenyans in the diaspora with dual citizenship do a lot of investments in Kenya without fear of being treated unfairly since they still retain their Kenyan citizenship. @@rediettadesse2828

Thanks for the info, my sister. I lived in Nairobi as a young refuge and loved it.
Lovely queen thank you for sharing another amazing video. I pray you find the peace and prosperity you seek in your new home.
Nairobi definitely. I’ve been there in 2014.
BTW I’m Ethiopian. I missed Nairobians, CBD, Karen , Uhuru park.
I’m feeling that I’m Kenyan.
I love Kenya and Kenyans. I have a very strong positive impression.
I'm Ethiopian. Before she even started I thought Addis had no chance to stand against Nairobi. We can't compare with a democratic and liberalized economy with a heavy Western influence. Ethiopia is there by God's grace against all odds. Our politicians have tried everything to destroy it but we're still hanging in there by God's mercy. We're grateful to have survived this long, let alone being compared to a model African country like Kenya.
As an Ethiopian living in England,I found your comparison fair.I have a plan to visit Kenya in the near future.the property price is far too high
What you've raised is intriguing and perfectly addressed. In addition, Addis falls far behind Nairobi in terms of infrastructure (connectivity, technology, transportation, health, sanitation, and so on) and justice. Addis Ababa is well-known for its diverse cultural mix from many Ethiopian regions. Nairobi, on the other hand, has a cosmopolitan culture with a blend of Kenyan, African, European, and Asian. In terms of business, Addis is reliant on the government, whereas Nairobi relies on local & multinational companies. Nairobi has made significant improvements in terms of safety, but Addis has lagged safety behind by the Nobel Prize winner. In terms of tourism attractions, Nairobi is still a quarter mile ahead of Addis Ababa unlike the case 10,000m running event. Evenif I live in Addis with beautiful parks and hyper inflation, my recommendation goes to Nairobi. I will come to Nairobi were William Ruto, an African leader, leads.
Loved this video. As a somalian, i must say Kenya is the winner for best east African country, and Nairobi is best city to make business 🎉. Even thought is full of corruption.
I’m an Ethiopian
The way you explained about Addis Ababa very well and professional
God bless you! Thanks for sharing wisdom!! I’m a fan!
My experience in Nairobi was amazing! I vlogged it all and want to inspire more diaspora visit there too!
First of all thank you for bringing comparison between the two countries. Anyhow since I am from Ethiopia and knew the conditions in Ethiopia right now there are more transformations in the country. The Ethiopian people are adjusting so many diverse issues within the country and that affects Addis Ababa too. currently, the cost of living is high, but the people are demanding that to change. In other side, Nairobi is well secured city in in Kenya at this time. overall, those two cities are going much better as time goes on!!
Informative. Thank You!
The background checks and relevant information detailed in this video is superb. Africa and our cities has it's own problems, unique or universal. But this exposé paints a wonderful picture on how we can only be united by embracing our differences. Beautiful💯
Thanks for sharing this amazing content!❤️❤️❤️
When l was in Nairobi l was amazed by the tall 🏢 there

I love the mild climate of higher altitude cities too. Windhoek, Namibia is also pretty high, as well as Johannesburg, SA. I loved the weather in Addis Ababa when I visited also. Haven't been to Nairobi, but one reason I definitely want to visit is due to the cooler climate.
Oh, and I loooovvee Ethiopian food. It's my favorite! I was sad in Kigali because the Ethiopian food wasn't good. 😆
mild climate make ethiopia & kenya people run very fast. you know they both havea huge rift valley in between and it make them suitable to run. kenya pple eat pap called ugeli and ethiopia eat injera and also ethiopia and kenya have the original coffee of africa growing in their farms so it boost thier enrgy right from childhood.
@@zazaland I love East African coffee, as well as injera. Haven't had Kenyan ugali yet though.
Great work Weni and I agree with your analysis
I am so glad to have found your channel. Great intel. Nairobi has been on my list for the return even though I am West African. Thank you for this
Addis Ababa is amazing city.. I grow up in Addis Ababa particularly Bole area. I feel the weather and food are absolutely lovely…
This is a nice piece. We pray our brothers in Ethiopia realise Peace and Stability. This alone overrides all other criterias. But dont stop there theres so much to see in the country side..go to Eldoret, Kakamega, Bungoma, Migori Etc. Very secure with abundant opportunities in business
I'm glad I discovered this channel! I find it interesting and definitely eye-opening.
Something lovely about you love; had to subscribe immediately! Also looking forward to more fun facts about Mumma Africa, 💕💗💗🌸🌸

I am an Ethiopian and everything is expensive in Addis Ababa Car price, food, house rent; House price...It is almost the most expensive city.
👉 Nairobi expensive than Ethiopia you don't know shit.

Quick correction, Ethiopia isn't a bigger economy than Kenya. Kenya has always had a bigger GDP, especially PER CAPITA. Both are notoriously corrupt countries, but Ethiopia being land locked reduces business opportunities significantly.
Thank God we are seeing more Africans moving within our motherland... Beautiful African people ❤
Selma. Thank you sis. Good info. Coming to you from the states any and all info that you provide is worth its weight in gold. Thank you again.
I ❤ keniya from Ethiopia 🖐💯
As a Somalian man I lived in both Cities (Addis abab &Nairobi), I here by declare that there is a great deal of difference btwn two cities! Nairobi is another level, A class
That has to be a joke

❤❤❤❤ Love!!! I am Manchester uk!!!!
I was in Kenya back 1992-1994 study in Aviation !!!!!
I have a great time and in Nairobi I never forget this is part of time in my hearts❤❤❤❤❤.
I am interested in visiting in Ethiopia!!!!!
Both countries are extension of each other..thankful our history goes way before independence. We are real BFFs
I’ve been to both countries and they are special in different ways, although Kenya would be more fun to live in, because of the economic development, beaches and safaris. Ethiopia has some seriously beautiful women, great food, including Italian food and a unique culture, although there is a resentment toward westerners there that you don’t experience in Kenya.
I love your opinion objective and unbiased. In regards to food, you can easily get any delicacies from your mother country in Kenya. You can obtain through shared border in moyale for instant.
Great video! Looking forward to the next one.
I love Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ❤
