I'm Jamaican haven't been to Africa but, Kenya is number 1 for me. I've watched how Kenyans have treated Jamaican musicians like long lost family and have been simply amazed. No other African country treats Jamaicans like Kenyans. And the reactions of Jamaicans in Kenya is pure love.

This gives Kenyan a triple AAA rating in my book as a world-class country.

That is 92% import duty on item you just bought overseas. This has happened not even long ago. Just a week ago. I imported steel bars from China only to be slapped with this abnormal duty charges in Ghana, $18000 ( Solid American Dollars). Ghana is so corrupt beyond repair, if still doubt me, please go on RUclips and compare prices of goods and services, compare real estates. While you can buy a very nice house in good neighborhoods in Kenya for say $150,000, to $300,000, the same in somehow average neighborhoods in Ghana, will triple the the price if not quadruple.

So basically, the seasons are not distinct as you find it in the northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere. What is different is some months are drier than others. Hey Sis. Glad you made it to this side of the continent. Was not expecting that. There are transplants from all over the world like us here. Enjoy. There is so much to see in and beyond Westlands, the CBD, etc. Nairobi is big and there are many neighborhoods and different vibes. There are green quiet suburbs, bustling hotspots and everything in between. Grace & peace.

Thanks for the video and welcome to Kenya! You didnt mention how green the city is. I am impressed by the efforts they have made in blending nature with their development. In Ghana, we cut tress anyhow. Accra is heavily denuded as Government and the people dont really care much about green spaces and that really disgusts me.

George padmore,Marcus garvey, Ras makonnen, cecil miller, paul robeson and remembering harry bellafonte...for the famous kenya airlift and also entertaining guests in nairobi on the dawn of our freedom with miriam makeba...
You will find many streets in nairobi named, Ralph bunche, Du bois, Marcus Garvey...in their memory...to name a few

He wasn't quite right. Matatus began in the late 60s and early 70s. The original fare on most routes was 30 cents (mapeni matatu). 30 cents was the 3 big brown coins with Jomo Kenyatta's head. Not sure if they still exist today coz I been away for too long. So the name MATATU is actually from the 30 cents not 3 shillings. Back then 3 shillings was a lot of money so a matatu fare could not be 3 shillings.
Fast forward to the 80s, they were nicknamed Ma-threes (Ma3s).
In the 90s they became "MATS". Cool MATS were identified as Manyangas and boring MATS were known as wangora. From early 2000s they began getting pimped with high tech.

Kilimani is not the CBD but a surburb however Nairobi is fast expanding and because of convenience you will find a mini CBD in Killimani and westlands the population especially immigration in Nairobi is fast growing.
