As a South African these types of videos really makes me appreciate my country more cause to be honest, most of the time we feel like our government doesn't care about us and that they prioritize foreigners more than us. It gets personal sometimes. I do understand that most foreigners brings real dollars here hence buying a million rand house is a peace of cake. I'm glad they've found their comfort zone But we ordinary South Africans will tell you that to get that level of living is extremely difficult unless you into shady businesses or part of the corrupt government. Fortunately we have our rural areas that we are now developing even though far from towns and cities.

You also did not do it on your own. You need to know your history. Almost every African country helped you gain independence from our prayers, making sure you could go into exile in all our countries as our brothers and sisters, giving you education when apartheid wanted to keep you all at the bottom and deny you basic rights and applying pressure on the apartheid government. Mozambique and Angola literally went to war because of saving you and the Boers were no joke when it came to tracking and hunting you down in each African nation just to prove a point that you were their property. Many African nations would hide you away while fighting for your freedom including black Americans who made sure that sanctions were imposed on the apartheid government just for your freedom. Today you have forgotten all of that but you will be reminded and you will seek the help of Africans yet again with the way the country is going. No country in Europe can match it for natural scenery and it's on par with France, Italy, and Spain for quality of cuisine. This is the bad: mass poverty of a kind no one in Europe knows, the worst Gini coefficient on earth (translation: the most unequal nation on earth), and a lot of violent crime. It may be the worst place on earth for women, since it has the highest reported rape rates, and it also has the highest number of HIV patients on earth, thanks in part to the ANC's serial bungling of public health crises.

I used to think that it can't get any better than the Caribbeans for a black person. I have taken 24 trips to there. I wanted to live in Jamaica or Barbados or Trinidad. Loved all of those places. But then I started going to Africa. Wow! Africa is the place to be. I have taken 17 trips to Africa. Been to many countries. I even fell in love and got married to a woman from Ghana. But trust me, nothing and no where compares to South Africa. Its the only place that I felt in awe of the whole time that I was there. Joburg is very nice, but I like Cape Town and Durban more. Only because of the beaches. I am from California. Got to have my beach. When I was there, the Rand was at 10 to 1 for the US Dollar. I saw a commercial on TV there advertising a large pizza for 23 Rand. Hey, that's $2.30 cents for me. But it's not altogether cheap as in other African countries. In my wife's country, Ghana, the average monthly salary there is about $600. Much cheaper. But more of a 3rd world country too. But in South Africa, I honestly saw some places that looked more modern and better than in America. An American will feel at home there, and still be in Africa. And be enjoying all of the South African Culture.

But we ordinary South Africans will tell you that to get that level of living is extremely difficult unless you into shady businesses or part of the corrupt government.
Fortunately we have our rural areas that we are now developing even though far from towns and cities.

you sadly abuse others especially Africans by expressing your anger and frustration to the innocent yet you leave the people responsible for your demise, poverty and living conditions living in your own land and wealth while they continue to perpetuate the apartheid caste system to keep you at the bottom.

I've lived in Europe most of my adult life, but I was born and raised in SA.

Young brother. This video is bringing tears to my eyes! My soul longs to come home. I'm coming home! I watched so many videos on Ghana which are inspiring, but the beauty of Capetown tugs at my soul! See you soon young brother. See you soon!
Very inspirational I will tap in with that couple and book my trip
Beautiful beautiful, diaporas are coming home to the promise and I’m one of them!❤️🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽✊🏽🇬🇭I’m moving to Ghana though, because I’m building in Ghana Takoradi beach front land!
South Africa is one of the African countries which represents example of black excellence, independence and freedom...
Give credit to the Europeans for that.
This is possible for all African countries
Be careful, it's still under economic apartheid!
@@gibson2675 nobody invited Europeans to our shores. Credit should be given to REAL south Africans who accepted them.
@@gibson2675 All of Africa was colonized you idiot, just that our colonizers did a better job
South Africa as you show it is indeed a blessing to behold. I have no doubt there are less priviliged areas however I am happy to see such development. Thank you Wode!
There are less privileged areas just like in any other country!
And there are more beautiful places than this.
@@lucyphaahle6243 Wow!!! 😍
I've never believed other people rumors here in America. .I have always believed that Africa is a beautiful place This was so wonderful that they made the move to Africa. Hopefully many will visit or move there after this video.

I love this. I love the positive message it portrays about our continent and my country South Africa. We are far from perfect, we have our problems but by God we are blessed than most. Welcome home our brother and sister. We will look out for you always as you are one of the few platforms that show South Africa for what it is. May God bless you and protect you always….and of course may your purses continue to overflow. Much love
Wode keep shining and raising the flag…You have my ancestry blessing all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦
I’m from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 and I’m loving this. I will definitely come visit. I did hear about Africa being an amazing place to live many many years ago but never saw it first hand. I love what you’ll are doing. Keep up the great work.
Yeah Africa is beautiful as an continental so you need to choose where exactly you want to be heading, like South Africa, Ghana, Zanzibar or even Rwanda
South Africa

Excellent video with perfect people 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Africa is Beautiful, Africa is Home. I LOVE AFRICA, proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬
I've been to Nigeria 🇳🇬 twice and I love it...If I could move their I would. But I have to convince my family...I had the time of my life and got to know me as a African not an African American
Welcome to SA. Please travel around the country and the southern African region, as well as the continent to get an even profound experience of the Mother Continent.
I'm from South Afrika, lived a few blocks away from that neighborhood, had a similar house to the one in the video 2years ago, but mine had a much bigger yard. I Don't have it anymore, but I am still with the woman I love, still have my 3dogs, & that's all that matters is having the ones you love around you.
Well what happened? Why is it you don't have what you used to have?
Hi Wode,
I really enjoyed this video.
I am a black American. You have truly changed my perspective concerning Africa.
If I ever chose to leave America, I would definitely consider South Africa.
Have a great week!
South Africa is nice an all but it has the highest crime rate in the whole of Africa, and there is still an impact of apartheid,
@@MissCriticizer SA produces credible/reliable statistics for our socio-economic issues (population, economy, poverty, crime, service delivery backlogs etc) better than most African countries which tend to thumb-suck their statistics. As a result of that and general negativity spread by media one may be forgiven for concluding that SA is thee most dangerous country. For sure we have our challenges, and just like in any other country/city there are areas that are not safe.
@@MissCriticizer Why are you hating, all your c are so negative about S.A.
@@MissCriticizer This comment section is about spreading positivity regarding the continent, there's enough negativity being spread by mainstream media channels hence we have such channels. If you're here to spread negative energy then I believe you're on the wrong platform
@@IamZulu-8 I didn’t take her comment as being negative about South Africa. No country is perfect. I like honesty.
If someone was moving to America, I would definitely suggest the places I like or dislike and I would give them the reasons why.
Have a great week!
