Nabz, we were taught as kids in primary school something called "The Loyalty Pledge." At the time we didn't even know we were taking an oath to love, protect and defend our country 😅😅😅😅
I'll comment on the salt part. Kenyans are really health conscious. And as such, they find it prudent for you to add salt to your liking. That's why we don't over-salt. Plus I think it's part of basic culinary arts. You'd rather have salt on the side for someone rather than too much or too little while cooking.
I love it that Kenya is not “salt happy.” Too much salt is not healthy. In the U.S. I have to ask fast food places to omit the salt for my order. I’ll be glad to experience low salt in Kenya. ❤
In Kenya, we are conscious of the problems of salt so we don't take a lot of salt. A lot of Kenyans also don't take sugar. I have a sugar dish in my kitchen that has turned to stone because I never use it unless I have visitors. What I use a lot is black pepper. So we always give people the option to add salt and sugar if they want.
@@lilac8794 it happens slowly. If you go a week without sugar, imagine you will enjoy even a pinch of it. Then you'll realize it's not the sugar you like but the contrast. Same thing with salt.
Whether you say Zebra or pedestrian crossing it means the same thing. And there's always the option of adding salt to your food. Nyama choma simple means grilled or barbecued meat, so don't expect it to have soup. We have wet fry, dry fry and beef stew if you want soupy food.
For food there many kenyans who sont use salt or sugar due to many reasons (medical or out of choice) thats why hotels will.not put salt or sugar in the food or tea
