Yes mam.It is very interesting to hear ur information about muringa tree n its leaves. Here in Kerala there is a concept also related to it.It is said that the leaves carry poison during rainy season n thereby avoid cooking it especially in the month of 'karkadakam'.But here in each n every home people cultivate it.The tree has its own sanctity I think so.we people make variety of curries using both of its leaves n drumsticks.Thank u for ur valuable information.
Thanks for the update. I remember my parents too avoiding greens during rainy season
@@GitasKitchen Avoiding greens during monsoon time is mainly because very small , tiny worms tend to stick to the leaves and sometimes do not get washed out after washing or rinsing. This , I remember my grandma telling me as back in those days when there was no electricity, it was very difficult to see the worms even during the day during rainy season. also the drumstick tree attracts a particular worm called, kambalipoochi [ caterpillar, ]which gives itchiness when touched.
Much appreciated Mrs Gita. Thank you for this simple yet useful Moringa & Dal recipe.
Namaste thank you for the recepies
Thank you very much Gita for the delicious food you prepare. I am trying them out. I love drumstick leave and will try this too. Much blessings to you.

Aunty..you are just amazing..
In reality, poor man's food is healthy I think about all those costly cold stored months old, processed with lot of chemicals etc. And the middle class n rich people have a lot of diseases
Its not a poor man food any more..its takes a pretty good money to buy it in kolkata
@@nandininandini9274 u can Grow the plant then 👍

I was so ignorant about the benefits of the drumsticks leaves. I love to ear drumsticks alone. I have now grown not one but two trees in my home. Now I make drumsticks leave vegetable soup and other recipes too with the leaves.
You give very good advice. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
I have been religiously using moringa leaves instead of dhania leaves, to garnish daal etc. Too much consumption will give heat. I make parathas out of it. And yes, rice eaten with moringa leaves crispy fried in freshly made ghee, is something to die for..
Thank u Gitaji for spreading information
about moringa leaves.
Yes it is indeed a super food...

I suffered from sciatica pain for a year then my mom sent me Moringa leaves from Pakistan and asked me to make tea amd drink twice a day. In 14 days my pain and back problem went away. I loveee this Daal recipe. I am a big fan and promote it like you to everyone.
Can u share please... d recipe of moringa leave tea?
@@neetasingh345
Sure, just simply brew it like black tea.
First thing in the morning I would take 1 teaspoon of Moringa leaves mix it with hot boiling water in a cup. Let it sit there for 5 minutes and then drink it. I was lazy to strain it.
Same thing at night, last thing before bed, had tea the same way but please do it for at least 10-14 days.
I was lucky enough to notice difference from the very first day and by day 10 all pain was gone till today:)
@@Sarzar29 thank u soooo... much 4 sharing d rcp wid every details.
Did you use dry or green moringa leaves while making the tea?@@Sarzar29
