The on the fly adjustment on the bracelet will be brilliant and used throughout the day, not for diving like the silly folding ones that only adjust to another given size that might not be right for a dive suit, this one means you can adjust it all day as your wrist swells and shrinks like they all do, it’s superb, forget diving it’s all about normal blokes wearing it normally on a normal day, I’d love it and will be getting this watch- to wear normally 😂

Beg to differ. I own an BB58 and went to an AD to buy the Spirit. Apart from the dial (which is amazing) the watch is underwelming to say the least. The case is adequate, perhaps okay for the price, but the bracelet is poor. Thin, rattlely and with sharp edges. If you consider this watch please check it out in person, dont just buy it online...

The watch is beautiful and I don’t mind quartz in the right watch, I wish it had a smooth sweep like Bulova Precisionists. I’ll stick to the automatic Conquest or Spirit, but I like the color way here

Whilst some of your gripes are legitimate. If you are buying a new watch and there is dust or dirt on the dial or other QC issues,, just send it back get it replaced or full refund. As for Seiko's pricing model who ever pays full price? It's clear they over price and then half the price come sale time. That is the true value. Never pay RRP on a Seiko! Finally the monster looks best on the rubber dive strap IMO, I would not be bothering with the shanky bracelet on an entry level diver.

I bought this model during a visit to their studio in Kyoto this past spring . My VAT-free price, converted to USD , was $265. The purchase price came with a choice of two straps from among their collection. I picked a NATO style, and a suede. Given the near-luxury welcome, attention, and treatment you got when visiting* their studio, I thought this was a damn nice experience (& watch!) for the price charged . The watch has been a favorite in my wearing rotation ever since. * I’m trying not to be over-the-top in my comments, but if I’m bein’ completely real, I’ve been treated *WORSE* at more than some “luxury brand” ADs, by comparison. Kudos to Kuoe for carving out this special niche for themselves..

Seamaster is gonna age horifically. 10 years time its gonna look as gaudy as a moonswatch.

I often think Seiko damages their indices and hands on purpose to distinguish their cheaper watches from Grand Seiko. San Martin proves a beautiful finish can also be affordable.

I like mine. Almost black dial with orange induces. Bracelet is poor but functional. Crown should be bigger. Keeps great time I must say 3 seconds fast a day. Going to buy a large leather watch band for it since my bracelet clasp springbar keeps popping out, making the factory one useless. I don't want to lose it. The berny am339m I bought with is a fantastic watch.

The problem is that, of course, it’s only offered in 42mm.. even for the pink…I’m so sick of the sexism practiced by watch companies.. make all watches for both sexes by making one 36mm and the other 42mm already! It’s SO annoying I can’t get the color I want because it’s “men’s”.. I have to settle for the baby pink!!! Yuck! But yeah this omega swatch .. an ETA mechanical movement with date can be purchased for $250-$300 and this case can be 3d printed for cents on the dollar. It’s not hand painted.. really? But yeah.. paying $300 for it is such bs.. it likely cost about $30 in parts for the company to make.. this is why omega is dying and it’s SAD because the company is one of the 19th century greats. They’ve had some great designs in the past years but they don’t offer them in between 36-38mm which is their biggest mistake! It’s every watch companies biggest mistake.

In my cohort, nobody wears these two brands. They are considered old-school and are far too pricey. Nomos and Sinn seem to the consensus choices around here.

My wife bought me an Omega 007 as a birthday present. I never wore a watch other than a Timex Ironman for training. Funny, I'm retired and dress pretty much like a bum, but people still comment on the watch.

There's only one thing about this watch I don't like. Unfortunately it's a deal killer: it's the polished bracelet links.
