I just got the champagne dial and I can’t believe how exquisite this watch is. It’s the only one I want to wear. Shear perfection, I have a robust collection of high end pieces and this just wears something special. This is a watch you wear, you have control over it, its subtle distinction distinguishes you from the rest. People that know the game have complimented it “someone knows watches”, etc. a true watch wearers piece.
Nice review mate!!! I happen to own the champagne dial and I simply love it. All of them seem to run bang on. Mine runs between +/- 0 and +1 second per day. I actually don't mind the clasp. I think it's OK and quite comfortable. By the way the bracelet is held together with push pins. But they're very good quality and therefore they're perfectly OK.
That’s a stunning colourway, mate, great choice. The clasp certainly wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me but doesn’t shine like the movement or dial. How long have you had yours now??
Just bought the black dial. Iove the deep black dial and the size of the watch is great for my 6.7 inch wrist. Only criticism would be the lack of on the fly adjustment on the bracelet.
It's such an awesome watch, I bought the titanium version, it's 40mm but on my 7" wrist it wears so well. It also fixes some of the issues, the titanium bracelet is excellent, the crown is screw down, and no date window
Nice review, great looking and wearing watch. One objection " The clasp is crapy " Real i don't think so. 19 mm is a bit irritating but given the size is on point. The bracelet as a whole is my opinion excellent, no on the fly only criticism. Cheers
Thanks for the review! The watch is great but the hair on the 11-marker and the scratches in general on the hour markers (especially on the 12) are a bit surprising at this price range.
Hey this is my watch. I have a 6 1/2inch wrist and there are 4 links left to remove. And I'm on on the middle of the micro adjust out of 5. I think this would fit your wrist very well.
Mine and Kane’s wrists are the same size - I actually had a lot of people audition for the chance to lend me watches and he was head and shoulders above his fellow auditionees. Only kidding, but yes, 6.5” wrists for me too 👍🏻👍🏻apologies for the delay in replying here 😅
I brought the 40mm Spirit it’s a great watch but the bracelet could be better. That said when I brought they were much cheaper and the bracelet was the same price as the leather strap unlike most mid price brands where the bracelet can be £200_300 dearer. I recommend waiting and monitoring uk watch sites and your see large discounts on these watches after the 1st year of release.
Nice review! But is it just me, or does it look a bit dusty under magnification? It looks like there is a ton of fluff and dust on the dial and it is especially visible on the indices.
There’s definitely some very tiny blemishes that I do acknowledge, but it really is under a macro lens and very bright lighting that you see this. I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker personally, just because there’s a lot of other stuff going for it, but I guess for people who do like to get a Lupe out and look at their watches, it could be a bit of a fly in the ointment. But I did only notice myself once I looked back at footage
I bought one in November from "Ma - - - Ry's" in Bath and I love it a hundred times more than my Cartier or any of the others. I chose the stainless steel because I like the sound weight: the titanium is too light for a man of my generation: save that for the snowflakes of post 1980s! A fabulous watch!!! The price quoted here is exactly what I paid and well worth it too!!!
Great vid, and what a beauty. Longines is still off a lot of people's radar, but they have been releasing some killer watches of late and 2024 will be a great year for them.
Great review as always. And listen, it’s not the size of the wrist that counts it’s how…, I can’t come up with anything. Sorry. With that said, it’s a beautiful watch. I really need to get away from dive watches this year. Thanks again!
Thanks, mate 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻always appreciate the kind words! Yeah, I catch your drift. It’s not the wrist size, it’s the strength of the wave? 👋🏻 I dunno, fuck… metaphors are hard
You haven't mentioned the movement! Does this movement have to be sent back to a Longines service center to be maintained and repaired( Or Do they Just switch out the movement)?
Good review of a good watch - have had my eyes on this timepiece for awhile and hopefully can get my hands on a clean pre-owned one before long. Unlike you I am all alpha but reckon with my manly wrists I should be able to 'pull this off'! 😂
Great watch, I've got the 40mm in silver dial. It's a fantastic watch, but the bracelet is absurdly cheap, looks it, and in hand/on wrist absolutely feels it; if it was even close in quality compared to the Tudor bracelet, I'd say it's a clear win, but frankly, it falls very far from the Tudor quality and feel.
Beg to differ. I own an BB58 and went to an AD to buy the Spirit. Apart from the dial (which is amazing) the watch is underwelming to say the least. The case is adequate, perhaps okay for the price, but the bracelet is poor. Thin, rattlely and with sharp edges. If you consider this watch please check it out in person, dont just buy it online...
Haha to paraphrase a certain IGN review of Spider-Man, “it makes you feel like you really are a pilot” 🤣and I like that the 37mm does make my wrist look substantial
The Ranger feels much more substantial, not meaning the size...the bracelet is so much better on the Ranger...otherwise the 37 mm Longines wears rather like an 36 mm watch, which might bother some. The Ranger is a much larger watch, more so than the 2 mm difference suggest. Personally I was underwhelmed by the Longines.
I agree, definitely a better bracelet, and clasp, no doubt, but I suppose you do pay a wee premium for that. I'm not sold on the Ranger's arrowhead handset either, though... Different strokes and all that! I'd rather have the 500 quid extra in my pocket, too 😅
Nice Review! I own two Longines watches but for this model I opted for the Pagani homage. It’s 38mm, the bracelet is a little bit rattly and the details far from perfect. But it has 20mm lug width, a screw-down crown and I really don't feel the need for the original anymore.
@@jhandal311 I actually am a commercially rated diver , and as such I like things to be able to withstand a splash , or a shower etc , rightly or wrongly I think a screw crown is a must have for a daily wear ..
@@tomthompson7400 i think these are rated at 100mts which i think will withstand a splash or a unexpected rain . But i do agree i dont see a screw down crown being a huge cost for a watch like this. But oddly enough a lot of field or pilot watches dont have screw down crowns
@@jhandal311 true , its probably a left over from the hand winding days ,, but I think a daily wear these days is more likely to be an automatic , so the hassle of unscrewing a crown every day has long gone.
Price is crazy. Male endlinks is huge and obvious. No display caseback. Tried it on my wrist and felt meh. Oris Propilot X is way better with discount. I will skip this one.
A display caseback something I’m normally very into, but it would likely add to the thickness, and in this case, I think the lack of height is a real plus!

Thanks for the review on this. I also have smaller wrists and I love the size of this. It's also a really good looking watch in my opinion.
Loved that intro Pip 👌👌👌
Cracking watch this!

@@LumePip I've had it for pretty much exactly for one year now.
Awesome watch. I recently had the outer AR coating removed though, as it was starting to show blemishes in the coating. It's perfect now.
going to do this with mine just bought one for 1100 decent condition but scratches on coating
Just bought the black dial. Iove the deep black dial and the size of the watch is great for my 6.7 inch wrist. Only criticism would be the lack of on the fly adjustment on the bracelet.
Longines is really innovative. Having a diverse catalog with great prices.

I got exactly that watch a couple of months ago on sale for £1880. Love it.
I also paid the same price on sale... maybe we bought it in the same jewelry chain

Knock out by Longines, love it.
What’s your wrist size, how many removable links left after you size the watch. My wrist is 15cm/5.9 inch, do you think it will fit my wrist. Thanks

40 mm ? 42mm?
I like it
40mm is perfect for me

No white yellowed dial wersion
The long protruding male end link is a deal breaker

I hate the fact that you can't see the movement. If I'm paying that amount of money for a mechanical watch, I want to see the goods!
Nothing against a nicely made solid caseback. Glass see-through casebacks tend to stick to the wrist on hot days.
