A review of the Crossbones haptic fidget slider
So you will have a personal drop?
Thank you so much for this guide i tried unscrewing the toy but I as I kept going more and more parts fell out but then I found your guide and you really helped me fix it again
That’s awesome! Love hearing that.
I think your bearings also look a little dry. Rinse the bearings with a generous amount of lubricant and wipe them clean on a soft tissue. And just to be sure, clean the track part of the inside of both lids with a lightly oiled q-tip. And your good to go!
Thanks for the the tips! I did clean out the lids before the video actually. That white ring all around the inside of the lids seems to be where the black "paint" has worn off.
So cute
I love girly colors ❤
I’m an 80s guy. I love pink.
@@thefidgetfix people freak out when they see my custom Lisa frank appendix holster rig lmao. More guys think it’s cool than I expected
Do you happen to know what size the 2 springs are?
I've bought a few haptic but they do nothing for me personally. There's just no satisfaction
Yeah it’s definitely a preference thing.
I think you might be missing the "axle" piece (in the middle). It might perform a bit differently with that part in place 👍🙂
Wow really? I’ll have a closer look at it. I wouldn’t even know where to get something like this if it actually is missing.
@thefidgetfix I think they just use another magnet. But it has to be thick enough to engage both halves. It's usually a "loose" piece (not glued in). I've also seen coins like this just use a metal slug instead of a magnet. However, I have never owned an actual "Milk Cap" from ACEDC.
@@bruner thanks Dan! I’m going to look into it.
@@bruner Thanks for the tip Dan! I had a magnet that was the right size and it definitely makes a difference
I recently purchased this item in SS. When I first got it, the middle segment didn’t pop out unless I intentionally caused it to, but after only 24 hours of use it now pops open spontaneously. I noticed you ran into a similar issue at the end of your video and I’m wondering if you found a fix? Thank you for your content!!
Should come standard with the wheel. Way too overpriced for the limited range of play
Did you sell the cosmo yet?
Sadly it was never mine to begin with. It was a loaner for the review. Love it though
I've been looking to get one, somebody from another forum recommended me to start with a knockoff from Temu, supposedly this are very close to original but idk since I'm new to this fidgets thing.
I say always go with the original if you can afford it. Having said that, what exactly are you looking for? The Shield is a slightly trickier slider for people just getting into the hobby because it has a curve to it which makes the common slider tricks a bit more challenging
@thefidgetfix I'm between this one or a black cloud creations, they seem strong and durable
Thanks for the info and that little curve is what's calling my attention, I thought that little curve made it easier
@@josevera4713 It does for straight sliding back and forth but the minute you get into moves like laddering the curve makes it much trickier. You might be better off starting with something that has a flat surface instead of a curve.
@thefidgetfix awesome!! Thank u so much man! 👍
Man I wish I felt the same about mine. I find it to be heavy and the SS plates (dimple design?) are very sticky. It does feel solid and well made, but I have a half dozen free floating sliders that are half the price, twice the fun. For any new fidgeters watching this, do not fall for the Magnus and Modus Works hype. They are highly regarded, mostly because they are expensive and people like to justify their spending 😅
I mean it's all subjective though isn't it? I've tried a pretty wide range of sliders and have to say that a Magnus just always feels great in my hand. Every time I get rid of one I end up wanting to try another one. And I'll have to disagree with you on your reasoning as to why people like Magnus and Modusworks. Yes there is always hype but that doesn't mean it's misplaced. You may not agree with their perceived value (which is absolutely valid because that's your perspective) but saying that people only like it so that they can justify spending that much money on something isn't a fair statement. I find the resell value on Modusworks stuff to be crazy but I also have no problem with people spending that if they can afford it. I will say that I've had experience with cheaper sliders and, in a lot of cases at least, there have been issue with then that I haven't encountered on any of the higher end priced sliders. Part of the high cost is due to the investment in machinery which ends up producing a better made product. Again though, that's just my opinion. I've actually been wanting to do a Fidget Chat episode debating this very thing with people who have differing opinions...
@@thefidgetfix You are right on all fronts and this topic would definitely be a great point of discussion in Fidget Chat. This is my personal take, as someone who has spent $500+ on each of the top three. My message is to those that are new to the community and hearing these names as if they are the be-all and end-all of fidgets. If you are not a collector, there are fidgets of equal quality that provide the same level of fun at much lower prices. You do not need to spend this kind of money on these brands.
@@Shoorah On that I completely agree. There are so many newcomers to this (and any) hobby that see the most expensive item and think that's the one they need. So much so that they basically ignore all the more cost-friendly versions along the way. I'm totally guilty of that myself. Yeah I'm convinced this would be a good episode now!
@@Shoorah What is your fav brand?
@@modulatethecarrier I don’t have any favourite brands but I can recommend some fidgets, depending what type you are looking for.
get the ultem kingcrab and verkk. they are SUPER awesome!
Yeah I have to admit that even though I’m not a fan of Ultem a King Crab in Ultem actually looks kind of cool
ToadX was my favorite design since I received the first two click version. Then the 3-click took top spot for 3-click. But they’ve all been dethroned now by the Coral Verkk collaboration slider with Kladis3DStudios
Magnus is mass produced and loses 50% of its value when it hits the cart. What a shame.
my Magnus king crab 3 click ultem should be arriving soon!
got it yesterday this thing is a fantastic. This is the first expensive fidget where I actually feel like it feels like it actually is a $200 fidget, magnets are so strong. clicks feel snappy and good - . Unlike another certain expensive fidget maker, cough lautie cough
i liked a hybrid crunch setup. But ever since i heard that the nickel coating is toxic/carcinogenic i dont know if i should be using it or not. maybe you with your reach will be able to find a answer. and if it turns out to be no maybe we as a community should transition to different coating for the magnets.
That's an interesting thought but, to be honest, it isn't something I'm personally worried about since there's very minimal exposure to the magnets. The only time I'm touching them at all is the rare instance where I'm opening the slider up to change something.
@@thefidgetfix well with dampeners yea. but if you let it rattle it will build up nickel dust over time. then i dont know how well that dust stays inside.
@@griper00 that's fair.
If you want to test SS plates. let me know you can borrow my toad x with ss. I also have teflon plates you can try. Feels really good on a combo of teflon and SS imho.
I might have to make a run out there some day soon to get a few more review items off of you. Plus there's a great fishing spot near you!
Too small wtf
Yeah I can totally see that but there are so many people with different preferences when it comes to fidgets that there’s always an audience out there who’s going to like something this small.
@@thefidgetfix exactly, these are items for people to connect personally with. But it’s like trying to carry the worlds smallest knife 😂
That's disappointing with those screws and teflon plates getting tight.. It's especially disappointing, considering the cost for one of these. Thanks for the review 👍🙂
It seems LOUD! Is it as loud in person as it seems in this video?
yeah I would definitely say it's on the louder side. The hollow body creates a bit of an acoustic echo chamber for it
I have that fidget the Zelda special edition and I love it there is a setting that is so smooth, let me know if you want me to share with you.
The vertical up/down is not controlled by tightening or loosening the 4 screws, it’s done internally with the springs and balls
Actually the teflon side plates control the tension pressing down on the internal disc. The internal springs and balls can definitely affect it but only very slightly. Those teflon side plates are basically the track that the internal disc travels up and down on so the tighter they are the harder it is for the disc to travel and vice versa.
i set it up the way you did before it was not easy to move then i put 2 steel balls at the bottom also made the same amount of clicks. and the top part is the same one in the middle one outer edge. do not bother with sliding ones they are for resistance which you do not want anyway.
i bough one, but i don't know why
It's so pretty but that's a problem 🫤 i think i won't buy because of this
Is that because you would be afraid of damaging it?
@@thefidgetfix because it doesn't slide smoothly 🫤
@@francobriano8681 got it. Yeah it’s a shame it didn’t slide more smoothly.
Do you have a link of Vibe Edc?
facebook.com/share/sDX63V3xfpE8AxRZ/?mibextid=K35XfP
I'm so glad you make these man lol, I had an issue with my Ti version, and needed to know exactly how the parts fit inside.
That’s great to hear!
Looks like something you find in a bin of drill bits. Now the MOT Mix has my attention. If it’s available when my hobby budget replenishes i might grab it
Very cool design! Is that resin printed or actually machined? It almost looks too smooth to be 3D printed. Thanks 👍🙂
I believe it’s resin. It doesn’t feel like typical 3D filament
🥵 that’s a HOT fidget and as always a great review!!!
Where is the store of Vibe EDC ?

There were a few times I was having audio issues
Love the SS fidgetboy! Great review!!
I’m obsessed, adding to my cybercase asap
What the fuck? Is this a motorcycle accessory?
I get it. Okay. Whatever works for you.
@@-fuk57 this is a fidget review channel and the strawberry crash happens to be a pretty tiny one. I’m sure they look pretty ridiculous to someone who isn’t in to fidgets though so I totally get your reaction.
Ooh, now I think I want two of the SC to build the most expensive begleri ever :)
That would actually be pretty epic.
Way to expensive
Yeah I can totally understand that. There's a 10% discount if you use the code thefidgetfix if that helps at all.
Gotta agree, 90 bucks for that is insane. I don't really see anything justifying the price, be it materials or craftsmanship.
Did you get a new camera? You looking high def af.
Thanks for noticing! I've actually started recording videos with my iPhone 15 Max Pro and have been building a lighting setup around it. Using external lenses and other stuff. I'm constantly upgrading my gear to make the channel content look as good as possible so it's great when I hear it's working.
Do you happen to know the type of magnets that are used inside of these? I had one fall out, unfortunately. lost it.
I'm sorry to say I don't. I don't even have it anymore. Someone in the Daily Fidget facebook group must know though. Have you tried posting in there?
I got the bigger one and it 100% does not disappoint.
I have both and was surprised that I prefer this one.
@thefidgetfix Oh wow, really? Why is that? Sits better in the hand perhaps?
@@tardun yeah there’s something about the form factor that actually works better when it’s smaller. Although it does need a lanyard to use properly. I have a review of it coming out tomorrow or I go deeper into it.
So basically jonas started by copying what other people did. But now when someone makes slider even close to rapt everyone including jonas gets mad.
I hear what you're saying but there's a difference between similar and an obvious ripoff. The problem is that it's a tough line to define so, for a lot of people, it comes down to "You know it when you see it."
What's the difference between 2023 edition and 2024 edition?
I think the biggest thing is that they redesigned the outer plates to add extra grip.
What kind of knife is that?
It's the Civivi Kivi. If you check out the full length videos on my channel you'll find a review I did of it (ages ago).
I found that with mine the issue is just that the tolerances are quite tight. For me loosening up the two outer posts/stoppers made this problem very minimal and it's getting better and better. I love everything else about this fidget, the sound, the feel, the looks!
Any chance to access for folks that aren't Facebook users?
I’m not sure to be honest. Emile Belanger, the owner of Vibe EDC, actually commented a few down from this comment so, if you reply to his comment, you can ask him directly.
It’s a no from me 😅
No judgement but I’m curious to know what you don’t like about it.
Wow, take my money! Lol Love seeing new innovations
oh the up push is sick
it's so good
Is this available already? How much is it? Cant find the store.
@@dhoyan I put the Facebook group link in the description. He doesn’t have a store yet so he’ll only be releasing in the group for now.
