    I think this was a reasonable explanation and response to your experience if nobody gets back to you after multiple tries we can only assume whats going on even if we don’t want to assume its only human another great video dude haters gon hate but i think you did absolutely fine

      Thanks dude! I appreciate the support. Sometimes things just go sideways. I wasn’t even gonna make a video about it at first but then I realized it’s still good content and hopefully helpful to some people when it comes to fixing magnets that might be stuck.

      For sure dude! Unfortunately not everyone in this world has something nice to say also its information man for everyone! Not all of us know who “ the pro’s” are some of us like myself have just gotten started into this world and i think you bring high quality content/information to people like me you just gotta shrug it off and let people make asses of themselves unfortunately 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Acetone doesn't always work. I had a slider where it refused to work on. I ended up using a dremel with a grinding bit to get it out. Do not use on plastic, it will melt. You can also use heat, But it will destroy the magnets if heated too much. It will also melt plastic.

    Last week I superglued one of the Cp3 Nano magnets the wrong way around. Acetone soaked overnight but couldn’t pry it out still. Then I just banged it 3-4 times and the superglued magnet fell out. The other magnets didn’t move at all. The superglue hadn’t held up , idk if the acetone soak helped or superglue is just not great overall but it’s now superglued the correct way around and it’s holding up just fine. I was panicking so much when I first realized. You might wanna change the video title to something like glued magnets the wrong way around edc fidget slider or something cause I was trying to find a video like this. lol

      Maybe I’ll look at adding those in hashtag or something so the keyword lead to this video

    Not gonna lie, it looks like this is a blemished coin that didn't have a custom engraved side yet. As if he just made it to have a proof of concept. I haven't bought anything from Blackdog Labs just yet, so I'm only guessing. I hope you're able to get a custom coin with better functionality eventually. If Compoform did custom work, it'd be a no brainer. The only other maker I'd think could do something like this is Derek at Fidget Things.

      Shit really? Well that blows but good to know. I mean yeah if Compoform did custom work I’m sure it would be immaculate but I’d have to take out a second mortgage on our home first ;)

    Maybe its a little dramatic but i try not to buy ANY fidgets with exposed magnets anymore. Its just a headache that i dont want to deal with when the magnets inevitably start to get loose. I like to use and abuse my fidgets and i need them to hold up especially for the money these things cost. I mostly only buy mechanical and free floaters with plates now.

      @thefidgetfix  4 месяца назад

      Yeah I have to agree that I put a lot more confidence into anything with a “protected” magnet rather than exposed ones.

      I'm on exact same boat, after a few problems like this. Exposed magnet always get loose or are not seated properly, making the whole thing unusable

    Im surprised Alex didn’t get back to you. Ive tried very hard to get magnets out by acetone soak some for days and nothing worked until i heated them with a torch and banged them out. Heat works good with brass just dont overheat. What i didn't like about this video is how you just assumed what the issue was when you didn’t know because you didn’t even talk to alex. You cant just say you assume he was busy because you dont know. also maybe because you asked for free stuff he gave you what he had laying around? I am sure had you paid you wouldn't have received that but the higher magnet to me is unacceptable.

    • @thefidgetfix
      @thefidgetfix  4 месяца назад +3

      Me assuming he was busy is me being kind and giving him the benefit of the doubt. It’s a lot better than just assuming he didn’t give a shit isn’t it? Not sure why that would be the point you have an issue with. I’ve tried reaching out to him since November with no response so unfortunately assuming is all I can do. It’s much easier to move on assuming a product was defective because the maker was super busy getting orders out rather than assume he didn’t care enough to actually make sure he was doing a good job isn’t it? And yeah, as I said in the video, I didn’t pay for the coin but it was part of a deal we made so that doesn’t somehow excuse the person from making sure they’re still sending out a quality product. If I tell a friend I’m going to design a logo for them or help them make a music video or something then I’m going to make sure what I give them is of the highest quality. It doesn’t matter if I’m doing it for free.
      I think we’re going to have to disagree on that part but that’s cool man. We don’t all have to agree on everything all the time.
      What I’m curious about though is how easily the magnets popped out after only a few in acetone while others have said the same thing you did about it rarely working.

      @@thefidgetfix it's gotta be the glue, some works with acetone other glues may have different properties I don't know. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying you shouldn't assume. Maybe there was a reason it was missed maybe Alex isn't even aware.

    • @thefidgetfix

      @@detroitpyro2859 I would agree with you except that we had a full conversation on messenger back and forth for a few weeks when discussing the coin (before it was sent). Once I first reached out to let him know about the magnets all communication stopped. I emailed through his website (where we also had conversations when the first shipment was missing stuff) and then I tried a number of times through messenger where I saw the read receipts so I don’t know what to say dude other than the nicest thing I can think to say is that he must have been really busy and missed something when he was making my coin and I have no idea why he’s never responded since. I didn’t get deep into it in the video because I didn’t want to start “calling him out”. Saying he must have been busy is the most diplomatic way I could put it I guess.

    You called urself a reviewer when you don't even know how to take a magnet out? How to convince your viewers about your 'professional" experience? No doubt that was a mistake. As a reviewer, I expect taking out the battery is a breeze. And you cannot ask the pros? Omg. Get a center puncher reviewer.

      But yes you’re absolutely right. I’m not a professional. The whole point of my channel is to help beginners navigate through the fidget world with me. And actually I do have a center punch. I actually mentioned it in the video. I wish we had been friends when I had the initial problem. You could have given me advice!

      Or maybe the product shouldn’t require the consumer to fix it upon receiving it. 🤷
