This looks very high quality. This would be so difficult to print. Weeks and weeks of calibrating and picking materials, designing ect. Well done

I like rattle too, but I need to have something silent depending on where I am and who I'm around. The problem I see with the Tron 2.0 is that it would be a gamble to really carry around unless you are certain you won't drop it. Not even that it's going to break beyond repair, but I can see it kind of just exploding on you which would be a pain lol.

Yeah I hadn't thought about it dropping. It's true that the pieces would probably go flying (if it fell hard enough). For that reason this is probably not a "walking" slider if you're sticking to paved roads and stuff.

I agree 100% and I'm looking at trying to ADD a screw-hole option in the future to resolve this issue regardless of how tight the press fit was.

All these years in 3d printing and I’ve never heard of or seen a metal infused filament

I really like the idea of this slider, but I'm sitting this version out. Ray posted a couple pictures of what the next version will likely end up looking like and I may be in for that version because it looks like it's moving away from press-fit parts. I am primarily a no crunch slider user, so the play between the press-fit parts is a deal breaker (since the play should create its own sound, even as little as it might be).

Yeah I hear ya. I like the idea of a solid piece over press fit parts since I can’t see myself mixing and matching pieces but I totally understand that there are definitely people out there who love that aspect. To be fair though the play between the press fit pieces seems to be a bit of an anomaly and Ray said he would make it right with any customer who got something like that. I was thinking of adding a touch of loctite on them but I’m considering giving it away in a draw so I don’t want to change it too much.

I thought about it but 125 CDN when you factor in shipping for a 3D slider is a hard sell

I hear yeah. Living in Canada has killed so many purchases for me because of shipping.

Over 20 minutes and no real explanation of the difference of the user experience between the regular slide plates and the copper infused ones. All you said was to get the $80 kit. Not real helpful.

You're right. I guess I could have spent more time talking about the plate materials. I'm assuming that most people who are familiar with 3D sliders know what the plastic plates feel like but I'll keep that in mind the next time I run in to something like that.
