Neat design. Thanks for taking it apart. I'm always curious to see internal details 👍🙂
I found that with mine the issue is just that the tolerances are quite tight. For me loosening up the two outer posts/stoppers made this problem very minimal and it's getting better and better.
I love everything else about this fidget, the sound, the feel, the looks!
Yes mine is the same
I don’t experience that “stuttering” at all with mine. I’ve had it about a week now. I don’t remember if it had any issues when I first started using it. I notice several sliders, especially the mechanicals, seem to need a “break-in” period sometimes. So I force myself to mindlessly use them as much as possible when new. Haven’t taken mine apart yet so can’t say if that would make any difference.
Good luck. Hope it eventually works out for you. I do enjoy mine quite a bit.
Where did you pick up those reverse action tweezers you use? I think you mentioned it in another video but I can’t remember which one. I’m getting really tired of either dropping or launching balls from my tweezers whenever I try to modify my fidgets. That combo of tweezers you are using look to be perfect for the job. Thanks!
Got them from Amazon (Canada). The brand is Wandic but I’m sure it’s a generic brand that a bunch of companies sell. Here’s the Canadian link.

@@thefidgetfix Awesome. Thanks.
Great vid, but I love this piece. I use it super slowly wanting to hear every single mechanical click before going to the next one. Like bubble wrap. I'm an individual bubble popper, not a cruncher.
When I want quicker I put a lot of pressure on it and slow push it up and pull it back. I find this works best as high pressure not free flow... at least that's how it revealed itself to me.
This
Yeah that's totally fair. Using it in different ways might play better to its' strengths. Someone also suggested that it might need cleaning even though it's brand new so I'm going to try that as well.
Wonder if you change the balls to nylon it would be smoother ?
It's possible but I've never noticed the ball material to have such an influence on a slider that it drastically changes the smoothness of it. In my experience it usually just changes the sound but it's worth a shot!
Was wondering if SS Balls on SS are the issue ?
Try pushing from the bottom I can get each and every individual detent.same for way back down.its a slow and deliberate action and u get a slight pinging to the sound.its a beautiful slider kept safe in its bed whilst I play with my cheap clones which are also very good 🤣
It's so pretty but that's a problem 🫤 i think i won't buy because of this
Is that because you would be afraid of damaging it?
@@thefidgetfix because it doesn't slide smoothly 🫤
@@francobriano8681 got it. Yeah it’s a shame it didn’t slide more smoothly.
