@thefidgetfix yeah it falls off quite a bit, but not enough for me to dislike it :) My fave way to play is to hold it pendicular to the ground with the cookie hanging off the end at 90 degrees pointing to the ground. Then I put my trigger finger under the cookie pushing it straight up from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock. It windmills down and I ca do thay for ages without it ever disconnecting. I don't know if I'm making any sense haha
I absolutely love the Fortune Cookie…BUT…you are absolute right. Luckily, I bought it first in titanium, and since it is lighter, it was awesome. I liked it so much, I bought the zirconium one and was underwhelmed. Because it is just heavier, it doesn’t work nearly as well as the titanium. I bought this corian piece and it is a game changer for the zirc one . Has a great sound and is fun to play. It doesn’t do some things as well as the titanium but is well worth it if you’re a fan. My recommendation is to buy the Fortune Cookie only in titanium or plan to buy this replacement top or the ultem one if you can find it.
really wanted to pickup a fortune cookie but ultimately decided not to because of honest reviewers pointing out the issues with it. now only if the corian wasnt school bus yellow haha
I’ve noticed very subtle streaking, but that’s only because of the balls rubbing against the Teflon plate, but I wouldn’t call it buildup in anyway. If you’re noticing actual buildup of black debris, I would recommend opening the lid and checking on the condition of the balls to see if they had cracked at all, and possibly have magnetic Dust, for lack of a better word, buildup on them and that’s what is actually scratching off creating the buildup.
Very interesting piece. I really like the idea, but this one doesn't call to me. I hope they expand on the idea though and make something similar in the future. This piece seems like it it lives in the same family as the compoform teseract in a sort of way, and I can imagine there could be more things like this in the future.
I've been keen to try one of the coriander tops, but to be honest, the regular Fortune Cookie (zirc), is in the top three of my fidgets as is.
Does the zirc lid ever fall off when you spin it? I know Zirc is lighter than SS so I’m guessing it’s better.

Dude I totally agree. This would have been awesome in a darker colour
Do you notice any black build up on the Teflon when you are playing with the Corian lid?
