Thanks for the information about this fidget!
They should have called this fidget “wrecking balls” lol
This one was an automatic hard pass for me.. My GAO Studio "Rifle V2" used magnetized balls that did the exact same thing.. They disintegrated on the inside, making a complete mess..
A helpful tip: use clear packing tape, in combination with q-tips (to press) the sticky side onto any loose flakes of broken magnet dust. You can use the q-tip, or even something like a toothpick to push the sticky side of the tape into tight corners. Good luck 👍🙂
That's a great tip..thanks Dan!
A couple of layers of UHMW tape works perfectly- it’s a lot stronger than Teflon tape. I’ve had the Ti version since the initial release and have had no issues
I can imagine the Ti version being much better since it's lighter than the Ss.
Thanks for the warning. I’ll keep that in mind if I ever decide to buy it. 10:05
The Teflon plate was unusable for me from day one as well. I taped the bottom with slide tape in its place and it’s much better that way and you may even be able to do the flip with it as the thinner slide tape will increase the magnet strength.
Just be careful because what breaks the balls is when they bang against the protruding edge of the bottom piece. The Teflon actually sits flush with the edge to prevent that..
I took the Teflon plate off after the first hour. I tried Teflon tape but it came off quickly amd I've been ridin' bare back :)
Thanks for the video though, I've used locktite to attach it now and it stays put. I have the zirc edition, so none of those flicks for me.
Where did you find the video of them doing tricks? I can't seem to find it on their RUclips page. It's so cool.

found it, thank you!@@thefidgetfix
Hey man, so I found a solution for this.
You want to buy aftermarket magnetic balls (6mm, N38 - the max. for 6mm balls) and make sure theyre chrome plated.
The ones that the slider is shipped with are nickle plated which is much less durable. My stock magnets showed heavy wear after two days of playing with the teflon plate on (glued it down), been excessively testing the chrome plated ones for 3 days now and theyre like new, not a single ding or sign of wear. They're also ~30% stronger (by feel) resulting in much more satisfying clicks when sliding and no more flicking off the top part when doing the 360°. Hope this is some help to anyone whos unhappy with theyre fidget toy.
That’s awesome thanks.
can you share a link as to where we can buy those?

Hey @aliasname5518, have your chrome plated balls been holding up?
@@lion_lungs yeah, after all these days they still look fine. They have some wear too but it's more optical, not flakes of the coating falling off
Ive been using it since 2 days, used two tiny drops of super glue to hold the teflon plate down, which works perfect, but the balls still show signs of wear. Not as bad as yours, but you can tell the plating is coming off...sucks
Sorry to hear that. I would reach out to whoever you got it from and see if they can send new balls out because those shavings that come off the balls are magnetic and can work their way into really tiny spaces.
@@thefidgetfix I think it's just by design. The contact surface of magnetic balls is just so tiny they're bound to wear. I've looked into other coatings, unfortunately there are none. I'll try to design and print a different top plate and play around with different magnets. I really like this slider, it's fun and addicting and I want it to last a bit longer (:
Damn. I bought the SS version of this and took the teflon out immediately. Smashed up the main body magnets before I noticed. Didn't realize the balls were also smashed.
Feels bad. It's a good fidget but I don't really have any form of recourse do I... For now I'll just glue the teflon in place? idk. Is super glue too strong?
Where did you get it from?
I wish I saw this before using mine. I have been using the teflon now but it seems like my balls are STILL chipping. It's really disappointing because it's such a great fidget.
Sorry to hear that. Once the balls start chipping they won’t stop. I actually just a recorded a review of the new Yellow Corian lid and it’s way better. I normally hate anything plastic but the weight of the SS lid made it tricky to use without it always falling off. The Corian lid stays connected way better if you’re ever looking to replace the SS one.
Thanks I appreciate it! @@thefidgetfix
