Im sure more nitro content will improve the bottom end.
Music on your vids is great as alway. Would be nice if you could add artist and title to the description section of your vids.
Thank you ✌️I will from now on
Very Nice. She runs very good. Specially with 12%. Although i think the difference will be small given the fact it was really cold now. Seems to have great torque and spools up very nicely. Awesome buddy👊
Yes the dix runs very good! A different picco and I like it, sadly its currently raining... I cant wait to try the 2135 with this engine. Btw how do you like the optima cs400 clutch?
Early morning ice skating at the track 💯😋 Can’t wait to see her rip in the spring/summer time. You got to bring her back out for us when it warms up. For now it sounds like she is running well Two things: 1) I would be curious how different the carb is to the other Picco you mentioned 2) Because of the crazy number of ports on this off road engine, I would love to hear her high reving on a long straightaway (or maybe put her in the GT just for fun 😉) Thanks for the fun vid with brand new engine Tasty 🩷
Cant wait for better days... weather sucks right now, windy, cold and wet.... so sad for the hobby 😔 I dont think it will make a good onroad engine, my gt engines make more torque, the throttle response is very different 🤔 Thank you for the comment Adam ✌️
Sounds a little lazy on take off maybe it’s the richness
It is, Its a top end power pipe, there are better options for tjis picco 👍
@ This motor would probably do well on a 12 tooth clutch bell
Hell yeah brother make nitro great again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Lets go!! 💥💥💥
Nitro has always been great 👍
Effectivement c’est bien geler
Une rude épreuve pour les doigts.. et pas l'idéal pour roder un moteur mais c'est ça la vie dans le nord 😤
Was super excited for this video man!! Wait until you’ve got a gallon or so through it, and its balls REALLY drop.. Gonna be an ANIMAL. I’ve got a reds 2113 i’m running on mine for low grip, then the Picco 2166, Reds 2143, and also the Hipex 2135 with short, and long headers available also. I JUST sent in my brand new in the box Picco Boost .28 with Factory Team sleeve for modifying. I’ll definitely be posting up some videos brother!! My BNIB P3TX is being modified as well. Gonna be a good springtime on the new track! Finishing up another new Nitro buggy as we speak as well!! Thanks for sharing my friend!! 🍻🤘
I would like to try the picco 2166! Defo in my wishlist. Cant wait to see those modded picco! Let me know when you upload! Thanks for the comment!
Ive bought that engine but need to run in. The weather is asscold
I should have waited for better days but I am just too impatient 😅
Where can I find that engine
Wait that wheelie ok it was a jump but it makes a wheelie or not and i see it makes reallly rpm very fast
That was a power wheelie for sure 💪 Cant wait to try a different pipe and remove a head shim 💥
Great video 📹 👍 seems like a top end screamer
Than you 👋
hmm... I think this engine needs a shorter manifold ..odd bec the blow down wasn't a bit lower than traditional Picco numbers . I think once you get it all dialed in w pipe, shims, plug, venturi she will be a killer :)
I am sure she will! She is ready with the 2135, .10mm head shim removed ...... waiting now for the rain to stop 😤
@@TastyBRC that sounds like good formula to me , keep us posted on this one. Oh, is this a 8mm carb ? The weather here has been great and I've been a mad man testing stuff lol.

Another great video. 👍 Nitro forever. What is the emissivity setting on your temp gun?
Thank you ✌️ temp gun emissivity is set on 77
Sounds very nice my friend! 💯 I can only imagine if you ran the 30% we run! What a monster
Thanks ✌️ I wish I had some 30% nitro 🫤
Very early this morning ! Great punch this engine Bro Thanks Crazy Engine very nice

Very good thank you. Happy New Year!
Happy new year Bro !
Happy new year 🥳
Nicely done, cheers 👍
Thank you!
Tasty could you make a review on the new ninja jx21-b07 engine? I think it is different from the other normal os based engines and i also think that you would like it
It is a square engine, very interesting! but very expensive aswell! I would like to try a square OS for sure
What’s the difference between this engine and the OS max XZ-b V2?
No idea ! I never had a XZ b in my hands. They look similar.. the xzb is a older engine, still available I my get one 🤔
Hello, happy new year Tasty b. Im breaking in my FX K 303 engine, and i'm on the 5,th tank of fuel, but finding it hard to keep engine temperature around 100 celcius. On 5th tank Temperature is around 90-95 celcius and that's not optimal. Do you think it will be alright to lean out the high speed needle just a little? I also wrap engine head with a sock It's only 6 degree celcius here in Denmark
Happy new year !! If you already burned 5 thanks ans the engine runs at 95°, that doesnt seems bad at all. Slightly leaning the low it may be more effective than the high as I suppose that you are not applying full throttle
@TastyBRC i will try to lean the low speed needle just a little. I have only applyed about 25% throttle input so far. Thank you for your help, i really appreciate it 👍😊
@@henriksrensen3220 You are welcome . Those 25% throttle are relying on the low speed needle more than the high 👍
@TastyBRC i leaned out the low speed needle, and it worked perfect. Temps now 100-110 👍
Tasty, forgive me in advance for asking this completely unrelated question under your most recent video (please do let me know if there is a better place to post this, I simply cannot find an up to date thread online I’m afraid). If you have the time and don’t mind me asking, what engine would you recommend for a Traxxas Revo 3.3 at this point in time (2024-2025)? Currently torn between a big block (.28 - .32) but can only really find LRP’s as non-RTR, off-the-shelf engines; and they don’t seem to be phenomenal in terms of quality control. It would also seem that a lot of the earlier big block engines with great reputations which are no longer made anymore (Picco, Novarossi, OS) are impossible to find for an affordable price. As such, this leads me to wonder, would a modern .21 be underpowered for a Revo 3.3? If so, would you be able to suggest a particular motor to keep an eye out for, should a good-condition, second-hand motor become available? Thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration.
Hello, Sadly there are very few rtr-pullstart options left.. LRP, Hobao and Argus (Argus makes a decent .28 pullstart engine, good quality, goodpower, low price) If you are considering installing a .21 in a revo that means that you have a bump box for that revo and a race .21 will make your revo fly. I made a couple of videos of my revo with a .21, check them out. A good .21 like a picco P3, OS B21, argus K3 will run much stronger than your trx3.3 and more consistent. The LRPs make more power (but not that much) more torque but the quality is terrible.. A new OS XRB or B21 max under 200 is the best choice for your Revo IMO.
@ Can’t thank you enough for such an elaborate response, really appreciate your time of day! Would definitely like to pursue the RTR route for convenience’s sake in terms of a pull start, so will be sure to look into the Argus over the LRP and Hobao. In terms of the Argus AG28 specifically, is there a pipe you could recommend for this combo that would be compatible with a Revo? Regarding the .21 sized engines you suggested, would it be possible, or worth it, to explore a pull start option at all? Or with this pull start constraint in mind, would you recommend sticking to an RTR big block like the Argus? Terribly sorry for all the questions, thank you very much again for your time. I’ve learned quite a bit in only a matter of a few days from your channel alone, keep up the great content!
@@tomwilson5337 Sorry for the late reply... Regarding the .21 engines that I mentioned, no pullstart will fit a race engine. The stock traxxas pipe wont fit a big block engine, there were a couple manufacturers making big block pipes, dont think you can find one nowadays. Easiest solution is to fit a .21 pipe like I did in my revo. So If you really want a pullstart big block for the revo, I think that the best option is the argus
I would add a .1 shim to the head button. When the engine is new with high compression and using higher percentage nitro fuel, adding a shim can open the tuning window. Make it easier to tune.
It is worth a try, in the next video I tried a colder plug and the dusty ran better so adding a head shim will probably help.
You should have set high speed needle, then went in on low speed and decreased idle until idle remained consistent. On both pipes the low end was still rich with fuel. Has nothing to do with either pipe........ :)
So simple ! You solved the Ielasi dusty enigma.
Hi. I hope you can help me out. I have bought a FX K 303 engine and i'm about to start breaking in the engine in rather cool weather. It's about 8-10 degree celcius here in Denmark. I will of course pre heat the engine with a heat gun. If i wrap the cooling head with tin foil do you think it would work out ok? Have you ever tried to break in engines in cold weather? Thank you very much in advance 😊
I Just broke my new Picco Dix in and temperature is lower here in france, you will need to pay more attention to the engine's temp, heat it up before starting it of course but while idling aswell to keep it in the 110°, cut a sock and wrrap the cooling head with it, leaving acces to the plug, keep it during the first runing tanks I have broken in many engines during winter, it takes more patience and attention but it's not impossible.
@TastyBRC That sounds great. Thank you so much for the advice 👍👍🙂
Lovely engine, almost a shame to start it 🤣
Sure it is! I already burnt 2L with this picco 😁
for that price thats a big shame
Agreed! Onroad style clutches are cheaper and dont break like this.. the new sworkz comes with a different clutch. I am going to email sworkz, we will see what they say
@@TastyBRC do you have a answer from them or maybe gave you new shoes?
@aimlockersesp7680 not yet! I will let you know ✌️
Oef😳 that sucks. That's some expensive garbage. This really should not happen. Maybe send a email to them with this link. Definitely adress the issue and push for a refund.
I couldn't have said it better! Expensive garbage, any aftermarket clutchshoes are way cheaper and more durable. I will email sworkz
how is the run time of the picco's compared to reds. Are they they same fuel efficiency or would you struggle to do 10 minutes on a tank
I don't have much experience with reds engines, I tried a gen 2 scuderia and the running time was better than my piccos, I can't get 10 minutes with a picco
Never had a issue with them shoes in my off road but I had a spring break on me have you tried the rc project ones they look very similar to the sworks ones but hopefully a lot stronger
Hey Alistair, I tried a 4 shoes offroad clutch with 1.1mm springs and it works fine, I just ordered 2 extra 4 shoes cltuches and I have a onroad clutch to test. I hate those 3 shoes clutches, I will never run that again!
@ yeah u don’t think they the best quality by the looks of it seems to have a massive weak point
UFFFF, its safe to say those springs and 4wd traction is a bit much for all that rpm/traction. I think its time for a real "GT" clutch, they offer the rip slip to engagement needed for this platform . Maybe if you were to put 1 0.9, 1 0.95, 1 1.1 springs those shoes would have a better chance of survival..maybe lol. Thanks for the upload broski
Thanks for the comment Kawi, these 3 shoes cltuches work fine with 1mm springs in a buggy, you are right the GT needs a different clutch, I got a new 'real' gt cltuch, I will test that cltuch when weather gets better as I will have to remove the engine from the car (probably several times) to adust the clutch and I hate to wrench when its freezing outside 😅
tasty i need your help i cant chose which one to buy. Sworks b7tt or the Spower s6tt. im going more for the b7tt. can you tell me maybe your opinion which one have more rpm . the s6tt dark edition looks beautiful but i think the b7tt have more power or not ?
I like both engines ! The s6tt is a dlc p3tt, runs stronger on the bottom than the b7 wich is a better balanced engine imo, I love the p3tt but I like even more the b7. Wich one revvs higher 🤔 Similar top speed, different power delivery
@@TastyBRC ive buyed the dark edition s6
@@aimlockersesp7680 I am sure you wont be disappointed
Nasty
Hey Evan 👋
Hi. Love your videoes. Is Hot Fire great nitro fuel?
Thank you! Racing experience Hot fire is great, Hot fire GT is even better
Do you modify nitro engines for anyone. I want a strong nitro engine for a old 5.9 SavageXL Monster Truck that will idle good at long term temps. My LRP ZR32 spec.2 never stays running , but I want the same torque & power. Or do you recommend a different engine for the HPI Savage XL or a carburetor for a new ZR32 spec4 that will run nice without shutting off every 30 seconds))? That's the only thing I can't stand about this engine. I'm sure Spec 4 isn't any different without you modifying it. Any info would be great, or if you want to sale one after you make it right anything). Thank You
Modifiyng your LRP wont help solving tuning issues.. you need a good carb: OS, Argus, Alpha, check this video ruclips.net/video/BZlrMLVQhUE/видео.htmlsi=2NoDq4AzJATcfgIp Very very few choices of pullstart engines these days. There is the hobao 30 wich looks nice but I havent tried it yet. The Nitro Nation made a couple of videos of the Hobao 30, check them out.
Wow looks like a beautiful Engine thanks for showing us around it!
Thanks for stopping by 🙏
I loveeee these numbers and port layout!.. This is going to hit really hard in the mid and depending on the internal fluid dynamics of the case she might surprise us with some nice rpm. I'm searching for this bad boy as I write this lol. Did you measure the carb by any chance? I hope its at least an 8.5mm opening on the carb . Any plans on which pipe and manifold you will be trying? A long Gt style manifold and onroad pipe should let this bad boy breath to is best potential as long as you run the biggest venturi or none in the carb. Once I see its max potential then I cater the pipe, manifold ,venturi and clutch to exploit the best power for the application...but its fun to see what these lil engines can do when giving them all the good to show off what they got. later gartor!
Hey Kawi 👋 it is a 8.5mm carb. I dont have many pipes options, I will start with the reds 2104 next 2135. The weather really sucks right now.. I am not planning to break it in any time soon 😮💨 Check RSRC .biz and Behr Mobile. Eu
@@TastyBRC Sweeetttttt!! Their 8.5mm carb tunes great, hope you got a 8.5mm venturi for it. Those pipes will do the trick ..the magic is typically in the manifold. Dang, sorry to hear ,the weather here has been spot on for the past month lol. Thanks for the suggested sellers. Oh, when its too cold to run have you tried to use an on road head?
I just subscribed to your channel man and keep nitro alive 💯💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
@ Your welcome man
Very nice indeed look forward to the running video. Where did you buy this from? Cheers 😊
RSRC .biz 👍👍 Thanks for stopping by
I doubt the 54 degree exhaust, that would make it a very slow engine and even lower than a normal transferport which with any engine is normally at 60~65.
Thats what I get with any other engine but not piccos. All these offroad piccos are inthe 55'
@@TastyBRC I wonder how you did measure. Because with the 54 degree exhaust and 21 degree blowdown you must have a transfer of 33, that is very low. And then you have an exhaust duration of 186, that does not go together with the 54 degree exhaust timing (opening = 2x the timing) and for an offroad is 186 a lot, even many onroad engines do not go that high, offroads are lower.
Great video Tasty ! Hopefully Picco will release a new series of engines.
I hope so too!
Very nice engine. Looks like they raised all ports. The intake ports a bit more. Sleeve design is the same. They left some posts in the intake ports to make it a ten port. That crank is looking really good. Already sold out at behr. Very curious how she runs.
Very curious aswell. I wasnt planning to buy another offroad engine.. but I couldn't resist. I dont like to break my engines in during winter but think I will have to!
Wow beautiful engine
Sure it is!
Cool, it will be interesting to see how the character is on the engine.
Absolutely !
Simple et beau...🤩‼️💯🔥⛽🛢️🏁🏎️🕹️🇫🇷
What pipe & manifold would you use with this?
Hipex 2135 with the S manifold. I would like to try the picco 2099 🤔
Ça sort de l'ordinaire, vivement le test🤪
Absolument ! Je n'aime pas roder des moteurs en hiver mais je crois qu'il va y passer
When will you break in and run that Picco??? Love your videos and reviews
Than you! Weather sucks right now... but I will break it in as soon as possible !
