I try to set my buggy up with the throttle servo pushing on the return spring at the servos neutral just a 1mm or 2mm. I also use a rubber band or 2. It has helped me get my buggy running and driving better. It also makes it easier to set your brakes with a very short throw to full breaks. The engine sounded great! 👌
The Nova crank is defiantly better than stock. 💯 Do you think it was worth modifying the crank since you have the nova crank for it now? She is definitely a different animal now. Thanks for the fun vid 🩷
Yes! absolutely! it was very fun to modd the stock crank, its always very exciting to see how the engine runs after being modified. Next will be my revo's force 28 max Thanks for the comment
Hello 👋 I would like to but I cant afford to buy it right now.. my buddy Kings racing will buy it as soon as its available, we will see a good review video
That’s the engine I just bought . EBay special . I have not started it yet . My alpha club racer went through 2 liners in about 2 gallons so a bit worried
Alphas break in really easy you are doing something wrong if your killing the liners that quick. Slow down on leaning it out keep it rich for atleast a half Gallon
Hmmm....maybe the Alpha crank was overtimed for the port timing and size ,shape, and location of the ports? I love these lil engines :) , Thank you for the vid.Side note I put a 30mm rod in an engine that runs a 29.5mm rod and shimmed the button accordingly and omg what a difference!!! Ita a cheat code. I'll share more details in time but right now I'm in shock...the dwell time is a real thing(old timers will understand that term lol )
@@TastyBRC When and If you do, make sure the thickness of the end of the rode (where the crank pin goes) is the same thickness as the OEM rod. If not the rod will be pushed forward or inward that amount and the piston will wear the chrome on the intake or exhaust side ...ask me how I know lol. The stock 29.5mm rod had a 4.75 thickness and the one I installed was 5mm but omg what a difference in power ,response ,low end high end just insane !. So moving forward I have shaved .125mm from the intake side and exhaust side of the rod to equate 4.75mm. I have only done this on 1 engine but now it makes everything else obsolete regardless of size or if its modded or not, nothing comes close , NOTHING ! I'm sure certain engines this wont work on due to the difference in taper between engines but the one I did I broke in with a stock rod for 1700ml then swapped to the longer one and add .5 shim stack and Magic Happened. It doesn't make sense to me . This engine has a small "V" GT style manifold like the Ielasi V3 one but 7mm shorter and a 9886 on a buggy geared 16/46 and it has more bottom end than a modded .32 with long manifold and more rpm than anything I have tested simple as that...I don't get it. I have a quick vid of it running I sent to a friend with it running 1 hour off from 4 stroking on the HSN and its just madness. I need to figure out how to send the vid from 1 phone to the other so I can post it so you have an idea what I'm describing .
@@kawicepticon8866 thank you so much for taking your time to post your comments, I learn something new everytime. I you want to send a video, the easiest way is mssnger ✌️
I’m working on send a vid of that buggy running , it will blow you mind lol my 3 year old is in the background just a warning . I just picked up a phone mount for my transmitter so moving forward the vids will be sorted . I promise to gets vids for the nitro fam as soon as the weather gets better and I have the time of corse . Remember the right pipeset will make it break an engine :) later bro
By putting a longer rod in, you effectively shifted the timing numbers of all the ports on the sleeve down .5mm. Doing that usually results in more torque. You can return the port timing back to factory by putting a .5mm shim between the block and the sleeve. Some engine companies actually sold engines with sleeve shims so you can basically change your powerband to be most effective for the track you’re on. Need more top end? Shim the sleeve up. Need more punch? Take out the shim.
How was it compared to your modded crankshaft? Seemed pretty similar on video. Surprised that the novarossi crank fitted. What brought you that idea? It works great !!!
A friend told me about this, otherwise I would never have had this idea. Its very similar in power compared to the modified crank but it holds the tune better. now I need to modify this nova crankshaft and get those numbers in the 220's
Hi way better. 14mm on crankshaft on alpha. Which Novarossi has the 14mm crankshaft?. As I was thinking all Novarossi have the 14.2 mm. It's great we can get different parts to fit. I do this all the time. Picco with reds. Etc.
Wow, that engine got very snappy on the throttle response and revs to the moon with that crank. Great job man!
Thanks 👍
Ridiculous improvement on low end so much more respons amazing now people understand the crank is top of the list for modifiers
Absolutely ! if there was only one thing to modify it would be the crankshaft window, the rest is 10% of the gains at best

Thank you ! Will do better next time with the carb issue fixed
Great compression bro good job interesting that crank fits well done 👍 🤜💯🇦🇺🔥💥
Thanks 👍
Très bonne vidéo Tasty 😉👍✌️
Merci!
Super video merci tasty
Merci pour le commentaire!
Wow that thing rips! Its amazing how well it runs for such a cheap engjne, i know you have modified it and changed the crank but still verg good 😊
Yes it does! Cheap Alpha on steroids :) Thanks for the comment

I wonder what happened to your alpha! This one is perfect, I am planning to modd the nova crankshaft now and see how far i can go with this engine
@TastyBRC I gave it to a buddy that needed a engine. Alpha ran great 👍

I've just bought the Alpha Falcon.....wonder if the crank would fit the prospec.....
Probably! Let me know if you try
😮😮😮😮😮 wow whatttttttttt!!!!!! I will do exactly this will a novarossi loco or gimar crankshaft work bro
holy absolutel hell bro wdf 😂😂😂😂 this is insane ❤
Sure one of those crankshafts will fit! Let me see a video if you try 👍

there are no 14.2mm Novarossi cranks . Thats a Adrian Bertin thing... designer /racer of All the 14.2mm crank engines
This is a plus 21-4 14mm crankshaft, direct fit! You are right picco and reds crankshafts can be swapped aswell

Hello,
Which pipe goes well with the LRP ZR 28 Spec 4? What do you think?
Hipex 2108! Less torque than the 2135, more speed. If you need more torque, for a truggy maybe, try the 2135
