I run 30% Nitro in my 32x Spec4, and it runs cool as a cucumber, and holds a tune really well. I hardly ever have to touch the HSN, and NEVER have to touch the LSN. I just run it, and enjoy it. No frustration whatever with this engine.
No. It is an SH carb with the replaceable venturis. I've had great luck with this carburetor on various engines, and had heard that the LRP carburetor is not great, so I broke the engine in with the xtec carb, and then switched to the SH carb when it was time to tune.
Very nice indeed! The idle on that is awesome drops really nice. Seems to have plenty of power, I bet it goes through the fuel quick haha thanks for another great video 😊
She got a little hot there at the end but, see to running and returning to idle pretty well. - As you know, it’s super frustrating to have a low quality/poor performing carb. I bet just changing the carb to the Rossi, helped the engine considerably Going over the timing numbers like you and Kings do, is a great thing. Even if you can’t “feel” or see a difference when the engine is running, you know you have modified the engine have can compare the before and after numbers. Nice work Thanks for the fun vid Tasty 🩷
The lrp runs good but I think I will open the crank a bit more. The temp was ok.. for an lrp. Usually she runs in the 140-45°C, she is more consistent and running a bit cooler after the mods. Sucking more fuel helps! Thanks for watching
Great vid buddy 👍 By the sound and temperature you can open the crank some more. You can't really compare the crank timing with a .21 since the displacement is much bigger. Think the exhaust timing and blowdown is good. I wouldn't take more material of the counterweight if you want topend. It now spools up pretty quick. Wonder how far you can open the crank before it's getting to weak....maybe 240 max???? Try 230/235 first i guess.
Thank you Kings. I was very surprised, Rex got lower numbers on the lrp 32 but I am very accurate on these numbers, maybe higher numbers on the 4.1. I will try a different pipe before modding again. The reds 2104 is a high end pipe but the torque was crazy with this pipe!
Its making good power on 18%. Plus your in tall grass. Run 25%-30% and a dirt road its going to be vicious . 4 more degrees blow down 9mm carb venturi. My mugen truggy pulls wheelies with 30% 14/46 and 155mm tires. similar mods to the same engine.
@@TastyBRC yes I use a novarossi 9886 pipe and it’s very strong in the mid range . I tried the ecrm side bleed and it had more top end with less midrange.
@@TastyBRC I have a nova on my zr 28 and yes it’s definitely a totally different experience. But so far the newly designed lrp carb on the .32 spec 4.1 is doing ok obviously you know they thermal lined it as the old carbs go to hot and boiled the nitro! I hope it hold up for a wile because nova carbs are hard to find and my os carb is on the Mach 28 which also has a terrible stock carb 😂
Regarde cette vidéo✌️ ruclips.net/video/BZlrMLVQhUE/видео.htmlsi=-hO8jvpJnn8JwwTm
Is there an equivalant carb that is still manufactrured today? For example a reds or the new nova brand carbs? As novarrosi is no longer around. Thanks
If novarossi carbs were so populare its because they were pretty cheap, OS carbs are better and Argus aswell IMO. Check this video ✌️ ruclips.net/video/BZlrMLVQhUE/видео.htmlsi=w72unz7-rac9F_DP
@@forzabikeif I may chip in, the Hobao Mac 28 carb is a straight drop in replacement. I have some shorts on my channel with it, “mugen with an lrp” is with the Hobao carb.
How I wish my LRP idled that good. I still have the stock garbage carburetor on it. I also have problems reaching the idle screw with the muffler in the way. I want to swap carbs just not sure what to put in it.
I like SH engines for just general bashing around. They have some power and last for a LONG time. I modded a couple up, and they wrre surprisingly strong. I think I had something crazy like 10+ gallons on the modded RTR SH B-01 .21 in my GS Storm, and i BEAT the SHIT outta that thing.
@@TastyBRCMe too. I had a few SH .28s 3p and they lasted a long time. Then I came across a new Dynamite Big Red .28 6p for a good deal, and then I found a .28 pro 8p piston and sleeve set on clearance for $20, so I bought a few sets and threw one in the Big Red engine. It's been a strong runner, and I still have it. I like the giant cooling head on the Big Red, and it is GREAT for extended bashing sessions. Stays cool all day on 30%. 👍
You can tell me what ever you want but this LRP 32 engines are very good for the price if you have a 400€ engine compared to this and you pay the half price of it. For me im just saying for me i go for the lrp z32 first . You can run a .21 engine on a buggy but you can run a LRP z 32 on everything for me
Nice work. I've wanted to learn engine modifying. It's cool to make an engine and modify it for your own use.
Absolutely! Its simple... easy to learn, very fun and rewarding, it works 😁

awesome mate awesome. definitely seems like is gained some power I would definitely open that window so you can lean her some more ❤

I found the stock carb and the spec 4.1 good I have a nova Rossi carb on the zr .28 though I believe you did a separate video on what carbs fit👍
Hello! at the beginning I also found the original carb decent but it started to fail quickly, a nova, os or argus carb is a major upgrade

Wow
good work brother , those timing numbers need a shorter manifold. If you put on a 41032 or GT mani with on road pipe it will be eye opening 100%.

if you can find used RB engines that have the original carb buy it drimm it and put it on the carbs on RB engines are exact same as the novarossi
Wont run perfect with a nova carb but much better than the original carb.. wich is pure crap
