    I could not see the black instance as shown at 20:26 in the video. Everything else is fine. Without that, I can't really do much with spiral colouration etc. Any ideas what is the problem ?

    Thanks for the tutorial, super cool stuff! I tried to follow along in blender 4.1 but my points never seem to connect to form a curve, so it ends up looking like a bunch of points continuously moving away from each other. Do you know if something about the mesh to curve and curve to mesh pipeline has changed in the newer versions on Blender? Thanks!

    1:50 hey im in blender 4.0 and even setting the value to the negatives doesnt make the animation play the opposite direction. it keeps getting smaller no matter what.

    I thought I could handle building basic cloth sim solver but it turned out to be way too complex for me. Hopefully I'll get back to it some day (hopefully befor we get GN physics solvers build or packed with default Blender). I feel like I can do this by following this tutorial so thank you a million :)

    5:32 for anyone who presses play on the node simulation here in the tutorial, and does not get a bunch of spheres in a row, switch the min and max values of the Wrap node. Idk if or what Blender changed, but putting a negative number as the max and a positive as the min for the Wrap node doesn't work as it does in the video as of Blender 4.1. The same goes for the other Wrap nodes used in the tutorial.

    Nice. I recreated your setup and I got a question. For me there is a strange gap on the "virtual x/y plane", so that my scene looks like a mirroring on a water surface. Is that normal?

    i'd love to try using something like this to get a dynamic retopo system, where the mesh is simultaneously relaxing and shrink wrapping to the source model, so you could get an even polygon density

    To anybody missing simulation nodes, update to the most recent blender :) i was using 3.2 ( theyre included in 4.0) * the most recent blender a the time of writing this

    There is one big issue with this method, its the large trails the projection leaves behind which makes the lighting annoying to work with. Maybe you can add a way to counter this? maybe with culling?

    the SDF nodes don't seem to exist in any current blender version but if you have higgsas geometry nodes there will be similar nodes and it works with them too (there the normals are as one would expect).

    I've followed along. I'm getting a pretty cool result but not the simulation effect you have created. I'd say my result has the points acting like a high viscosity fluid that has a really loose distance constraint and those parts of the grid points in the initialization group that don't collide with sphere are not staying constrained, disconnecting and dropping to the ground. Also, I've used Blender 4.0's Repeat Zone inside the simulation zone for the 4 instances of the substep group. I'm sure I've missed something, but I've ran through it several times and am not sure why. Also for a different visualization I added a group before the Set Material and after the Simulation Zone, consisting of a Points to Volume node set to Size connected to a Volume to Mesh node set to Amount

    how would you alter the number of duplicates per iteration? it appears to me that the duplicating number is set to 4 for all iterations in this tutorial.

    I entered all the nodes right up to the fast part at then end. I am having trouble getting the fractal to show up. Is this whole thing dependent on an exact camera position? And my fractals are low res as in heavily pixelated.

Seeing that your simulation nodes explanation "series" stopped at this video for now, not touching (yet) on soft body or 3D constraints and interactions, would it be possible to get those demo files on your gumroad for dissection? Or some other method of moving forward with it, without putting the pressure on you to push out more videos. Much appreciated in advance!

    Hey, thank you so much fo the tutorial! Could you or anyone in the comments provide some insight on how to approach this if the collider was not a sphere? Some other custom geometry like an extruded letter. Here we calculate the collider offset based on the radius, how can i calculate the offset based on the 'inside or outside' of the collider? thank you.

    I think your result is outstanding and you're clearly well versed in geometry nodes and mathematics but a lot of what you said went straight over my head. Without seeing you build it and what effect it has, I am non the wiser and didnt really learn anything. I just got a bit bamboozled by your explaination. Do you have any videos that walk you through this process? If not could you make one? From start to finish, node by node?

    if you store the value coming from the absolute node, you can use it with an atribute node and a colorramp in the shader nodes to get colors

    Impressive work, i purchased the file off Gumroad, it doesnt seems to work tough...some of the individual nodes behave differently (voxel threshold, scale and so on) and the Mesh to SDF Volume doesnt exists anymore. have u had some of those issues?

      Seems like the crucial nodes, Mesh to SDF etc. have been removed, I can't find any branch or version to play with them in either. EDIT: I found them in old Blender 4.0 Alpha builds, e.g. blender-4.0.0-alpha+daily.37eabb171a71
