slight correction. while yes, the factor never goes to 0 in a perfect infinite mathematical sense blender is in fact a computer program and limited by the floating point prescision rounding. at a certain point the value will be close enough to 0 that the rounding errors will make it actually 0. my guess is that this would happen probably around 2^32 decimal places? (assuming blender uses a 32 float for this specific data field)
Eh, sure, but not within 7 iterations. The smallest positive single precision float afaik is 2^-149 so it'd take like 149 iterations to get there. Which is likely waaaaaaaay too much to not have Blender crash and burn since it looks like the number of points grows roughly by a factor of 4 each iteration. For all intents and purposes, within actual limitations of Blender, it's gonna crash looong before you actually have to consider such tiny numbers
Good introduction to fractals, didn't know it was quite simple after all the seamingly complex formulas and overwelming explanatory videos full of misunderstanding :)
I woud like to mix/combine Fractal geomerty with text. Could you offer some guidance please. My focus is building 3-D graffiti. This is just what I'm looking for. Thank you!
how would you alter the number of duplicates per iteration? it appears to me that the duplicating number is set to 4 for all iterations in this tutorial.
@@Lance_G What would you need the mixing for? The Compare node used in the video gives an output of either 0 or 1 which works as mix factor. If you plug it instead into the Emission Strength of the Principled BSDF, it does the exact same thing (when you set an Emission Color other than black).
My fractal is only showing up in my viewport mode and not in my shader or rendered view. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening. My show in rendered button is on but all I can see is the yellow outline when I select the object.
Solutions you come up with and the way of explaining them one by one are great. Please do continue like that.
Love to see it animated and grow over time or on the beat of music.
great! You discribed it soo well dude

Wonderful tutorial!
This is awesome work right here! Looking fwd to diving into this setup
Your doing great work I’ve loved both your videos
You explain this so beautifully - thank you.
Having trouble getting the same result as you, but will keep trying until I get better results! Appreciate this tho, +1 sub
I was just trying to figure this out
thanks for your awesome tutorial!
Great, thank you!
Thank you very very very much!

GREAT !!

banger vid
you didnt explicitly show what nodes were in the node group, just wondering if you could show or tell what ones are there.
It looks like that someone took a bite of an apple
You do realize the Principled BSDF has Emission as well, don't you? So mixing it in separately is not necessary 😉
But there's no way to mix it by using a math node for factor?

Hi! How can I change the points to objects with geometry so I can render in EEVEE? Thank you! Good video.
You can use the instance on points node! 😀
Like broccoli cabbage!!
😂
Can you use the iterative method of the previous video in this practical case ?
you certainly could! If you do it would be best to set a limit to the number of iterations to avoid crashes
how to animate?:)
fractal iteration what is it wich node i dont understand ?
its a node group
