Candace is still the rookie goat, imo. I'm a Homer Iowa fan, but I have to give Candace the slightest of edge. Couple of things you didn't mention. Candace wasn't responsible for orchestrating the offense. Candace also didn't face the amount of defensive pressure CC has. I'm not saying it wasn't strong pressure but as a big she could catch a breath not like CC and the amount of responsibility as a PG.

In terms of cultural impact, Clark is the most important rookie of all-time, which was going to be obvious. However, in terms of statistics, Parker and Moore, I believe both top her.

I can't knock Clark being the better rookie between her and Stew York. I would give it a tie between them. I'd have to check and see who played with Stewie during her rookie season but I felt since the beginning of the season that Indiana, New York, and Los Angeles were the deepest teams this season. I still stand by my LA pick.

To be fair it was both Clark and Boston who started to play well that made Indiana better.

Great take bro keep up the great work. Always love CC as a player. However, the Fever is not a top 3 team, their D is just not good enough nor is their bench. CC I agree with you she is definitely among the top 10 rookie in the last 10 yrs. Plus I love how she has spoken out on folks attempting to want her to be anti black vs her black teammates. She is definitely ROY hut I don’t see her getting MVP though.

If Caitlin is playing like this in her rookie, it's going to scary for the league for league bu year 3. And is she has AB, who is a potential superstar and Kelsey Mitchell as her teammates.

Clark better at most of the things except defending

I want to preface this with the fact that I'm not here to propagate the rumors that people are saying she was male at birth. What I'm here to emphasize instead is that she has a really interesting morphology that has similarities with that of some outlier male athletes like Russell Westbrook. Her muscle density seems higher than most women--she looks solid and this is probably a major reason she's generating so much power at her height. It's definitely not normal--she's an extreme outlier--probably a generational talent at that level of athleticism. It's genuinely interesting. You don't usually see this kind of explosive power in most women unless they're like body builders or volleyball players. On that note, I'm actually really surprised that more players from volleyball backgrounds aren't in the WNBA. I suspect that as the league gets more popular though, that more people will come from there--the skills in volleyball translate really well to basketball. All of the vertical power, fast direction changes, etc... It would be the rennaisance of the WNBA if that were to happen.

new facts of case have been released to The State news in Columbia, the victim initially said Watkins assaulted her but has now said she lied about this. I suspect most of these allegations are blown-out of proportion and will result in a few games suspension only. Any bad news the mainstream media can run with against Dawn they go full blast to try & tear this queen down.

GamecockWBB posted a ins photo as the team huddled around a coach. Ashlyn was not there. Given the effort Dawn Staley has put in to keep the team drama free, I don't expect to see her very soon. Also the court date is Oct 25, which is too close to season opening. Dawn Staley will have a solution in the post play. But I really hope Ashlyn comes back and gets another chance. I would not rush to judgement here. I have seen facts like this a few times where it turned out the person being reported on was just trying to defend himself/herself from a vicious attack by some super angry person. You don't you usually grab someone and restrain them if you are the aggressor in an assault, you usually strike them. Not sure the details, but will be paying close attention.
