I would agree that the trade was terrible if the sky was trying to win now but knowing they in tank mode the trade makes sense most of players on the team is getting released anyway
I would say the sky could've gotten more for Marina however they still did get draft capital and got rid of marina's massive contract. The reality is most teams would not have take marina for what the sky would've wanted except for the Sun because they desperately need to win this year or next year, the sky should've asked for Harris too but would the sun do that? Probably not. The old sky gm traded away all their draft capital to dallas for of all players marina, they overpayed in every way for her so there was only soo much they could do to fill the gap she caused.
I also think it’s pretty obvious Sky not making the playoffs Atlanta dream is 10x better then the sky and sky is likely to win 3 more games out of 10 while dream is can win most of they games left 7 guaranteed/should win games

Yeah the dream have looked a lot better after the Olympic break. If they keep it up they are definitely taking a playoff spot

I would argue they won long term too. The sky should’ve got younger players that can be developed.
I expect to see the Sun in the finals. They haven't looked that good since the trade but it's only a matter of time.
