ikea is its own store building and usualy strech over 3-5 floors and have resturant in its store
I´m Finnish and watching these kind of videos from a foreigner´s perspective makes me really appreciate some of the things we have even more, especially the cleanliness, fresh food, safe streets and beautiful nature. I´ve also been to Porvoo many times, lovely town ♥
I went to IKEA today, I’m from Sweden
IKEA used to be cheap now i go there for insperation and I still buy alot.
Proud to be Croat! 🇭🇷
👍🏼🇸🇪👍🏼
Un pays voisin magnifique ; Personnellement je préfère le sud paysages et le nord pour les gens cool bières et moules-frites miam-miam
I might be biased because I'm swedish, but I have to say that IKEA is really great. I know that many swedish men (husbands, really) complain about going to IKEA because the spouse always take forever to choose what bed sheet (or whatever) to buy, but REALLY, if you look at it IKEA is great. Everything is displayed "in theme", living room, bedroom, kitchen and so on. You see everything displayed as in a home so that you can imagine it in your own, write down the code corresponding to each item you wish to buy and pick it up in the warehouse, connected to the storehouse. Beside that you can take a swedish fika or eat lunch or dinner. You will understand when you get there, it is all very swedish, very simple and sensible.
A normal swede don´t like IKEA anymore because they are so PC and leftie.
Unfortunately in Finland nowadays one must move more expensive bikes into balconies because of the drug addicts!
I absolutely hate IKEA! Once you get in, you'll have a really hard time finding your way back out. 🖕😠 Never again!!!
What are you talking about? If you just continue to walk forward, you will eventually reach the exit at the end! Are you high or something? 😮😮😮😮
IKEA has the same price all over the world. Flat packeges makes cheaper delivery. And you need to put furniture together your self. Easy work but sometimes frustrating 😂 IKEA is NOT only for the rich!! Ingvar Kamprad (google him) is IKEA. His plan was IKEA for all! He started out poor, very young and now IKEA is not only in Sweden. He let the employes take over.
Bring your house, flatplan in cm. Windows, doors, water - And get free help to make your new bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, livingroom, office etc. Or plan it your self. I even got help at my home. Didnt cost much.
Its all IKEA. Food store, resturant, furniture, bedding, all you see is one IKEA.
Vitamin D supplements are also a good idea for winters! The Sun isn't around that much so you may need some additional Vitamin D to keep healthy and happy.
you didn't see cerknica lake, which dissapears in summer and come back in autumn.
7:57 No flood defense in the world has larger movable parts than the Maeslantkering. This Delta Work can handle a tidal wave of 5 m above sea level. The Maeslantkering is located in the Nieuwe Waterweg near Hoek van Holland and was built between 1991 and 1997.
Hi again from Finland. I have been subscriber for some months to your channel. I really think that your country (and many countries), need open minded observers like you two. I hope that your channel grow in future, and so your message come more and more "heavy", and more people adopt attitude like u have: to see some cases where different nations have succeeded and how. You two set a valuable example against polarization and class clashes. Thats true and healthy patriotism. Keep good content coming. Thank you❤️
Ikea has revolutionized the homes in many poor countries with their super cheap furniture that is actually pretty good quality. And it's popular in rich countries too, because rich people also love cheap things. THere is an Ikea warehouse in Santiago de Chile so I guess Ikea will soon be in Brazil too!
A typical Dutch lunch as a kid could be leftover day old boiled potatoes baked in some butter with some freshly baked fish fingers and some tomato cucumber salad. But it could also be a double sandwich with cheese and some sliced tomato and cucumber, mayonnaise or mustard instead of butter and some salt and pepper Or 2 butter fried eggs with fried onion rings on two bread buns with some salt pepper, mayonnaise on lettuce. Breakfast is mostly bread though or yogurt with fruit or muesli, some eat porridge. But the bread culture and cheese, sliced cold meats or sweet stuff, is the quick and easy way to eat or pack breakfast and lunch. It’s the thing that people gravitate toward here, but we have good bread.
Yes, they ride "wrong way", because in the right way traffic was heavy. :D
nothing about IKEA is Swedish today, nothing is made in Sweden or with Swedish raw materials, most of it is made in China, so even the meatballs are Chinese, IKEA is run as a pyramid company spread all over the world to avoid taxes, it was once Swedish but today nothing is Swedish, certainly not from where it is operated.
This was a good reaction video. 🤗☺🤩Much, much Love again from the "lakey 💙and foresty💚" Middle Finland! 😘
Please do the video "I Tasted Every Food In Finland"! 💖It's very good and honest, but almost an hour long, so... maybe in three different parts..? 🤔💕
I am from Croatia, been to Slovenia many, many times. Slovenia is for me the coolest country in the world! And i have been all over the world.
The average size of an IKEA store is approximately 25,000 square meters. This figure can vary depending on location and country, as there are both smaller urban stores (e.g. IKEA City) and larger locations. A standard soccer pitch has an area of 7,140 square meters. The sales area of an IKEA store is therefore equivalent to around 3.5 to 4 soccer fields. This comparison illustrates the immense size of a typical IKEA store and the space it requires. A store has a restaurant located about halfway through the store. A store is set up so that you have to go through all the departments one by one, but there are shortcuts. Behind the checkout is a small supermarket with Scandinavian food. There are also snacks such as hot dogs or ice cream as a reward for shopping. The design of the furniture and other items is such that it is perceived internationally as typically Swedish/Scandinavian and within Sweden as typically IKEA.
Well yes IKEA is hugh.. its altso a buy a lot trap.. and eat meatballs! They have a lot of cheap stuff for teenagers that moved out, but altso a variaty of better stuff for middle age familys! In Sweden we call IKEA.. "the divorce house".. becuse in sweden one often do it as a couple, with or without children! And IKEA supose to be furniturs.. its this its a lot more .. one always comes out with more and a higher bill then expected! Soo it put a strain on ones relationship/family/economy, there is always so much things to buy, to improve ones home.. heaven is the limit.. or rather ones economy!
Hey , you can find Ikea, in Chile, Peru and in Colombia, Mexico and I think they have a store in Argentina as well! 😊 The store are more like what you in Latin America call malls, they are so big because they stock in the store. And they are no other stores in ikea that don’t is by IKEA, like the food, the delivery service and so on. Sweden and Scandinavian countries they are famous for the minimalist style not just in fashion but most in interior design. This is the spirit of Ikea.
E uma loja com tudo para sua casa
In finland is a construction rule that you need to have double glaze or triple glaze windows. Single glaze windows are not allowed to install in houses that are for full time living.
Im dutch, im 184cm and i feel small compared to other dutchman in general. i know the reason why were becoming taller. its all about high quality food.
Hej från Sverige. Idag beräknas det komma ner 50cm snö och i veckan ska det bli ca -10 c. Då behöver men något på huvudet till exempel en mössa. Det måste vara väldigt kallt där ni bor för du har alltid mössa på dig 😂.
A short comment from a Swede to a couple of Brazilians, I live in the middle of Sweden (search Stockholm on a map ( inline with Alaska) then go north about 250 miles) where we have snow for about 6 months of the year, and the growth period of our crops( the nutrients of our people) is about 12 weeks, yep It´s about as fun as it sounds. I envy your rich soil and abundant vegetation but do not support the polititians that have done you so wrong for so many years, Espero que você possa visitar um dia.
If you want to know what was in that less than $2 (19 Swedish kronor) salat with ryebread then go look up Toast Skagen, it's named after Skagen in Denmark, but is highly popular in Sweden under the name Skagenröra, in Denmark it go by the name Skagenssalat, that you can buy in several different version in all supermarkets all over the country. You can also get a Danish version of Skagen Salat in Lidl in Germany.
Building rooms in the store with the procucts give the customer a better view of how it will look like in their own homes (and a good selling point). Like other companies here selling kitchen/bathroom interiors and kitchen-ware they also have employees for helping the customer to plan their kitchen or bathroom.
This video really didn't show much or any of that. Maybe it differ from warehouse to warehouse though. Anyway, there was this funny incident were a guy moved in and lived in various such rooms for weeks before security noticed him.😹
I keep getting pissed when americans say for example skagen taste like tuna when its shrimps or other comparings to food becaus or food is 1000% better then the crap in murica ofc
Ikea is a single large company with furniture and restaurant all in one
The wood horse is an old decoration and/or toy the first ones was done in homes that could be sold on a market, it was not necessarily painted or decorated. The most known swedish wood horse is from the region of Dalarna, in Sweden we call those that are from that region Dalahäst (dalahorse) they are often painted in a base colour and then have a decorative pattern painted on, all of the decorative painting is done by hand, if you travel to that part of Sweden you can visit some workshops that makes the horses and some stores you can even try and paint one yourself, I think you pay a fee for being able to do that. The most recognised colour is a red base with white, green, some black and blue as part of the flower motive that is often on these horses.
If you are in a hurry, IKEA is not for you! Once you get inside you don't be able to get out before you have gone through the whole thing, both first and second floor.
Das sind alle echte deutsche Würste und den Rest gibt es auch alles. und es schmeckt alles so gut
I am 190 centimeters in hight exactly (it says so in my newly made passport... had to renew it). One brother is 191 and and other 192. I live in Luxembourg so it is not super tall but over the average. You ask a good question as how the Dutch got so tall... I don't know but I can tell one one thing for sure (absolutely); we have a large community of portuguese people in Luxembourg, and all, yes, all the parents where very small compared to the "local" population. But somehow all their kids are much taller. I mean, I had a lot of portuguese friends when growing up and most of the kids where taller than the parents at 13-14 years old. We don't have growth hormones or anything like that in our food, so I don't know what it is. So that is why it is a good question... maybe the portuguese and asian people eat more fish and we eat more meat and that could cause a difference in height. Of course there is a genetic factor but don't tell me that raising your children in another country sundenly makes them much taller because of the genetics... but it is like that. The Portugese born in Luxembourg are mostly the same height as the rest of the population (I can not explain that)
And, yes, it is not an expensive store in Europe at all... it is quite a cheap store with a very cheap restaurant (at least for wealthy countries in europe)
17:42 in. Scandinavian design has been know for quite some time now. Especially the Danish design. I would say (arguably) that it started after the 40's... but it has always been "minimalistic" (don't like the word, but it describes it pretty well in many ways) and practical.
Third World country. The UK then?
Ok, 04:35 in. So Ikea as far as I know and have seen in different coutries are only IKEAs, they don't mix with or go into a mall or a commercial center. They are they own store with the restaurant etc... maybe there is "mini" Ikeas in malla or commercials centers in the world, but I have never heard of them or seen them. Normaly Ikea is just Ikea :)
Also, in Sweden, IKEA usually buys the the plot and a big chunk of neighboring plots when they want to build a new IKEA store. Then, they rent the other plots out to other businesses who wants to establish in the same area. Also, there is at least one mini IKEA in the the "Gallerian" shopping mall in the center of Stockholm. Opened just a few years ago.
Skagenröra that they were eating contains prawns and is very delicious. So no tuna.
In the cabbage Roll is rice Missing 🤪 that's how my mother and i do IT With rice is almost everything better 😊
My sister's Brazilian husband's family PANICKED when it was -32c outside here, and they called from +32c weather😂. His mother thought he might die! In fact, he was sitting by the fireplace, eating chocolate and drinking wine.
