In any country the normal people can have a good life, all you need is a government that actually cares about normal people and not just the rich and themselves.

There's a term called working poor, which basically means you work hard, but still can't afford to save or pay for goods & services. The intent in Denmark is no one should be working poor, so any job is valued. + you pay tax to support the system, the system provides healthcare, to keep you healthy & able to work, pay taxes & benefit society. So that helps provide a positive spiral effect if you will, where as working poor will have a negative impact on people, health, wealth (individually & as a country). On prices here, there's a benefit within EU in terms of trade, labour, movement etc.- There's a lot, i'm sure there must be some video about this, you might wanna look into. All the best from Denmark ❤

Im curious guys how expensive is it where you live. As a Dane Copenhagen is the most expensive city we have so if thats cheap to you the rest of the country should be a candy store. Good craftmanship is highly valued in Europe in general if you know how to do a job well you will find good work whether you cut hair or lay roofing. If you travel longer than an hour you can get the gas money back through a cut in tax pay

you mean a fractional cut in tax for the gas. It feels more like it is design to get you the fuel tax back.

@@FaithlessDeviant Its designed to let people do jobs further away from where they live so people with specialised and rare jobs arent hurt by it whatever else it does is just an after effect

As a Dane 15 Euro is a very very low salary. I’m earning 35 euro per hour before tax + 17% percent extra on top of my salary who’s goes to my pension savings. I think that’s a pretty normal salary in Denmark, some are earning less and some are earning more but in general I think it’s a pretty normal salary for a Dane.

Though never been to Brasil, only Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay its hard for me to compare directly
But yes City center in Europe in general is the expensive part if you want an apartment. But residencial villas ar a bit further away - like in denmark in area of Hellerup. In general the northern parts of town are more well off, the southern parts are less well off. But absolutley not in the way you see in Lima. Also in Montevideo things seemed better than in Lima.
Renting or buying a flat in copenhagen is the most expensive in Denmark. Still I feel that rent is more affordable in Denmark where minimum salary is 20$ the hour compared to 13$ in Germany
The cheapest houses in Denmark cost down to 40.000$ - you cant find a house for that price in Germany. Ok if you go after the most expensive house the prices are approx the same - above 30 million $
I guess why a lot of tourists think South America is cheap is because some touristy places are affordable. Like when I stayed in Colombia i payed 15$ for a hotel room the night with private shower. An empanada was 1$ in Colombia, they are 3$ in Spain

If you go out, food is usually not that expensive when you consider the quality, but the wine and beverage is. It's usually as expensive as the food if it's alcohol, and a $0.5 Carlberg beer or a Coca-Cola at a supermarket, will cost you around 10 times as much if you eat out, so don't do it. Ask for tap water if you eat out, or just buy your meal and buy drinks later at a supermarket.

copenhagen is expensive. you can easily find way cheaper places to live in denmark. personally i live in a 2 story apartment and i pay 535 $ a month and that include water. heating. gardener and rent.
got a nice garden with a lake holding ducks fish and a grey heron that stops by a couple times a week..

You forgot the part about you can also receive a government subsidy to cover part of the rent, but it depends on the total household income. There’s a minimum threshold that adjusts based on the number of children under 18 living at home aswell, and there’s also a maximum limit on how much support you can receive so cant just live anywhere.
However, it’s possible to be a single mother with five children between the ages of 13 and 18 who all have jobs and not qualify for any support. This is because the children's incomes are included in the household income calculation, which can affect eligibility and reduce the amount of potential benefits.

I'm not surprised if the clothe prices being similar it is all made in china anyways. Even making your clothes yourself probably is more expensive.

Minimum wage is around 15 Euros per hour in Denmark. It's not actually a minimum wage but archived through collective bargaining. That's the absolute minimum tho, so you'll basically always earn considerably more than that.
These grocery prices seem actually very high to me as a german btw.
