Trollstigen road has been closed all summer this year due to high risk of rock falls. A team of climbers has been working for weeks to try and secure it for next season.
Because of this businesses lost a lot of income on both sides of the road. It's a big tourist place during the summer. A camp site on the north side closed for the season and some hotels in the area had to let staff they had hired for the summer go.

The town he travelled to is NOT in the mountains, it's by the sea, but it's not very far from there to the mountains. You're never far from a mountain in Norway. We have a few to spare...
The Trollstigen road is spectacular in the summer, and much, much safer than the hiking trail used to the to the other side of the mountains.
These days the main road takes a different route. so it's mostly a tourist road.
Matthew, who made this video, is working on an annual bike trip across the mountain, to the village on the other side and back, where the authorities would shut down the road for the day.
Last year they didn't close the road for him, but he managed to get over 40 cyclists to follow him. This year the road was closed because of rockfalls...
I hope to join him one year.
(I cycled the road once, back in the 90s. It's HARD! But now I have an electric bicycle... )
These days the snow clearing machines are fitted with Differential GPS, so they move with an accuracy of a a couple of Centimeters.
(I helped set up some of the PCs they used at first, many years ago. )
In the old days snow clearing started already in late February, with workers following the path of the road as best they could and spreading ashes and dark sand onto the snow to start melting it.
A lot of local farmers earned a decent extra income from producing poles and helping with the snow clearing. At this time in the spring they were just waiting for the snow to melt from their fields, anyway.

I’ve been in Norway in summer, end of July, and we rode a road, north of Geilo, that was just opened the day before because they first had to clean the road from the winter snow. We also rode between walls of snow in some parts.
Those two guys with that very old woman baking waffles is from the great BBC program Hairy Bikers. This was from tge series Hairy bikers go north as far as I can remember but see Wikipedia.

I've driven on a road with this much snow just once. I thought it was scary, when you can't see where you are in the landscape.

Because you liked this report: So you should also take a look at the spring snow clearing of the "Großglockner High Alpine Road" in Austria (usually in April), which reaches an altitude of up to 2,369 meters above sea level.

    Norwegian here..
I don't think I can live anywhere else. At least not for long..
The mountains and the nature in them, are just... That special... And almost wherever you live, its like 3-5 hours and you are on the mountain ridge that spans the whole country. Its epic.

    Is it Portuguese you speak?
I'm Norwegian, tbh I just felt like watching this while I relax and eat a bit.
Many times I did not understand your reaction. I thought you were being dramatic for the video and I did not understand. Then I started thinking about it a bit more 😅We do take for granted many grand achievements... and the general unity in our values which helps us achieve so as one nation or within it. This granted me perspective. Thank you

@20:18 Errrmm, HELLO!!?? 105 years old!! She's a HUNDRED and FIVE years old!! Hello!!! No "incrível" or "meu deus" like previous reviews every flippin' 2 seconds. Now was the time to say, from the bottom of your heart: "Meu Deus, she is 105 years old! INCREVIL!!!" Instead: nothing. Maybe it is time for "vacation" i.e. rest. Step away from the camera. Just saying. We still luv you. Cheers. Saúde!.
