The Awesome Making of Tombstone (1993)
Just realized how much screen time that bird of prey design gets. It's in ST 3-7. I'd say they got their money's worth.
I hated that movie SUICIDE SQUAD NOT What makes you think this will be better. And I understand your love of the history and everything. Honestly, a good trailer does not a good film necessarily make. Can you give me one or two points that make you think that this one is going to really be that good?
Superman 2. How about comparing both versions of these films. I've never seen both dot never saw the original created Richard Donner cut. I hear they're very similar. So that would be something I would like to see
I heard they originally wanted for enjoyed a play Superman hold on not before you say anything you're right. He was going to wear shoes with a lift! Haha
Your videos are outstanding, very well researched and top-tier accurate. And your speaking voice is great, you’re a perfect narrator for your videos. If anything I would say lean away from the AI, it clashes with the authenticity of the real photos.
Thank you. And thank you for the advice regarding the AI photos.
The first 2 Bond movies did okay. But, Goldfinger was a smash success. In high school when it debuted, it became a teen hit. One rich kid who drove a Corvette memorized the movie by seeing it 32 times. He could recite all the dialogue. Once, he drove into a gas station where I was talking with a mechanic friend. The Corvette was billowing steam from an empty radiator and very overheated engine. He immediately began pouring water over the engine to cool it. I and the mechanic didn't say a word and just quietly watched.
Of minor interest is the train fight between Connery and Robert Shaw. Both decided to make it as realistic as possible and spent several days shooting it. Years later both actors worked on Robin And Marian film and again staged a brutal stage fight. Both gentlemen are well missed and appreciated.
Thanks for trivia. Robert "Jaws" Shaw was also formidable in Battle of the Bulge, as an SS tank commander, brushing aside the advances of AAA courtesan sent by his commanding General. Also, Shaw had memorable role as RAF Group Captain in The Battle of Britain
I hate the modern filler footage of sycophantic and insincere modern dum dum ppl clapping at a shitty corporate seminar & then the rest of these qualify as well. Oh btw, not only did they use glitter for the transportation effects but Alka seltzer, hence the very obvious bubbles, obvious to people who pay attention to detail. Oblivious to the easily distracted. And please don't use the word transitioning even if it's in a positive contacts when referring to Jeffrey Hunter. people get the wrong impression & a negative one about it meaning what it means today which is absolutely disgusting and tremendously unnatural.
Crazy how looking up a random name in old movie credits can lead down a huge rabbit hole. I looked up a stunt coordinator that I never heard of in What's up, Doc? named Paul Baxley just to see where the search would lead to and he just happened to be William Shatner's stunt double in Star Trek, Marlon Brando's and James Dean's stunt double. He also worked on a ton of Dukes of Hazard episodes. Very interesting to see how some of these peoples careers panned out.
Right on
The most realistic Bond film.
The animated series is STAR TREK, the current new Trek is NOT!
14:27..." remarried ". That's strange.
My favorite Bond film!
you did A LOT of research..tyvm for that
Thank you!
They should have included the dancer, Lisa Guiraut, at the gypsy camp
Interesting.
At 37:04, you said that the kiss between Kirk and Uhura was the first between a Black person and a Caucasian (interracial). I’m afraid, though, that isn’t true as the first was actually a year prior. The first interracial kiss on network television was between Sammy Davis Jr. and Nancy Sinatra on her 1967 TV special “Movin' with Nancy”. It was Ms. Sinatra who kissed Mr. Bojangles on the cheek. The “Plato’s Stepchildren” iconic scene was, though, the first SCRIPTED interracial kiss between an African-American and a Caucasian.
Thank you for the information.
007 fight: The Widow.
The one from Thunderball?
We were lucky that Bill Shatner is still with us today.
I know. He and Walter are the last of the greats.
If Kelly starred in a failed Police Story pilot, who made the successful one?
Jackie Chan. 😅🤣🤣
Hello, if you're trying to show DeForest Kelly's WWII service in the United States Army Air Corps, ( the United States Air Force not even becoming it's own branch of the US Military until 1947, however, still being overwhelmingly overshadowed by big named Army Generals who hadn't yet achieved their own 4th star, - such as General Curtis LeMay, who should have been court martialed, and executed as a war criminal because of his repeated desire to use America's then growing nuclear arsenal on the northern side of both the Korean & Vietnam, borders, even going as far as publicly stating his "strategic opinion," that both the north Koreans & Vietnamese should suffer genocide by nuclear holocaust under a carpet bombing by the United States being the only surety of destroying communism altogether!) So, if you're trying to depict DeForest Kelly's service, - why would you post a picture of the PT109 & her crew, under her captain, Leiutenant John F. Kennedy USN , as Mr. Kelly's? Idk why, but it's hard not to see!
Thank you for clearing that up for us.
Another thing that helped Roddenberry get Star Trek accepted was the popularity of the Gemini and Apollo missions of the '60s.. The space race was top of mind for all of us and Star Trek rode the coattails of the space program superbly.
That's true. Great point.
"it may have had something to do with racism,." Ha ha - no shit, of course it was racism!
Ha ha! So true!
Mark Lenard also played a Klingon.
Yup! He did it all!
Shatner was in a show called "For the People". "We The People" is a different show entirely. Also, a Scottish accent is a British accent.
Oops. My mistake. Thank you for the correction.
Another leading role taken up by a jew. I think any movies about christ should feature all Christians. Look at the new snow white... both stars are jewish.. Mel Gibson was right back in the late 80's
The fight scene in From Russia With Love is the best fight scene I’ve ever seen in the theater. I’ve never seen another one better than this. It was highly realistic.
I agree. It was so well done and looked so real.
First! And...looks good 🤞🦸♂️
Yes!!! 😀I am totally excited for this movie!
This is an excellent video .
Thank you so much.

How many times do Corporate Executives need to be Proven Wrong. With Pantheon Shows that could have been snuffed out at their inception. Lucille, luckily, being older & married to Desi Arnez (and a NY woman) didn't have to put up with being hit on by those creeps, even when she was young, I bet. There's still a lot of shallow, Middle American White Racism & Misogyny here in L.A. to this day.
Total bullshit. The whole conflict thing I thought they original cast is totally made up. AI click bait
🤥
Boring to much talking
What?
So? This video is supposed to be informative.
Sorry, Bennett, you did great work, but you were wrong here.
I agree. He saved the franchise, then almost screwed them.
Wonderful.... thanks
Thank you so much.
12:20. Uh, the Bat Cave.
Yup. Great eagle eyes!
Eh, I still enjoy this movie. It's definitely not the best with the main plot, but all the Kirk, Spock, and McCoy moments are great. The acting was never in question.
I agree! There is something fun and rewatchable about this film.
George is a wonderful chap. Well remember a Star Trek Convention in Leicestershire many years ago and had a great evening hearing old time stories in his suite with about ten other fans.
That is so amazing! I got to meet him at a convention as well.
I too was nine years old and loved this. I should point out that while Mark Leonard voice acted Sarek in the animated series, Jane Wyatt did not return. Amanda was voiced by Majel Barrett. I am not a fan of the Megus Tu episode as it goes against my Christian beliefs. That episode disgusted me.
You're right about Amanda. The Megas Tu episode is certainly an odd choice.
Super production thank you! Those stoodio executives always know best don’t they! 🙄😠😆
Thank you so much. And I agree with you about those studio executives. 😊
Love all the old photos . Thank you ![][][] [] Yeah! Channel 48 !
Thank you!
Another great James Bond fight scene is the one in the elevator in Diamonds Are Forever with Joe Robinson playing Peter Franks! In the ‘making of’ Joe Robinson quotes Connery would have said, “one of these days they’ll have us fighting in a phone booth”
That is a great fight scene. 😄
At Stanford, Star Trek re-runs were packed with students in the TV room
That's amazing!
Funny how things worked out. The first 3 Star Wars movies were good but I was true to Star Trek I lost all interest in Star Wars.
That is very interesting.
I was only 8 y/o when ST premiered on CBS, a Tuesday Sep. 8th of 1966. I did not see a single episode until 1976, I do not recall what episode it was only that I hated it and could not stand William Shatner's over acting style. In 1982 the roommate I had at that time was really in to it so I started watching it and got hooked. In 1985 or 86 is when talk of ST TNG started. Then Sep. of 1987 It Aired. My first reaction was like Gene's WTH! A middle-aged bald man as the Captain. That lasted until Cap. Picard spoke and the rest was History. It is still hard for me even to this day to say which one I liked best. They both are special and will still be watched a 100 years from now. If Man is still around.
I remember that I had a similar reaction to Star Trek The Next Generation. My college roommate said, "What is this, the Love Boat?" Then Picard turned out to be an amazing character, and we all became die-hard fans.
I have to admit being born in 1973. In Detroit,Mi... STAR TREK SYNDICATED reruns ruled the airwaves which used to always put me to sleep as a kid. I truly became a fan when my neighbor had a RARE AT THE TIME VCR in 1983 and we watched the WRATH OF KHAN....Ive been on board the Enterprises for 41 years now.👍💰👏💥💥💥
I remember when Wrath of Khan finally hit HBO in 1983. We watched it so many times.
Fascinating, well done
Thank you so much!
Klingon Blood returned Magenta in LOWER DECKS.👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣
I need to check out Lower Decks.
I saw this opening day Ironically enough while attending US NAVY CULINARY SPECIALIST school on weekend liberty in December of 1991 in San Diego,Cali When the Excelsior and Enterprise lit up that bird of prey ...the audience stood up started CLAPPING AND WHISTLING...it was glorious.👏👏👏👏💥💥
That is amazing!
Subsequently the $400,000,000 Net Paramount made trickled OVER Into helping EDDIE MURPHY become the TITAN he is today.
Haha! And he was almost in Star Trek 4.
