@@AnthonyHeadway Yea we could have gotten the de-aged Maitlands but the executives or who ever decreased the budget by 50mil. That and Tim had said their story was finished but a small scene without their faces would have sufficed. It's tell all, than show in movies these days.
Congrats on your channel! Well done for your positive recap review of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Please keep it positive and don’t fall for the negative trend cause we had enough of those😂 we need to keep theaters and love for movies alive to bring back the beautiful experience of watching movies together on silver screen! I watched Beetlejuice twice and definitely looking forward to see more of your videos. BTW from your mouth to the underworld and Warner to make the third movie😁🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
One thing I find funny is the thing about ghosts not aging, yet we've got Beetlejuice who literally looks older. Haha All jokes aside, I really enjoyed this movie and plan on checking it out a second time to see if I like it more on another viewing.
@mysticc6232 I'm aware that he's older, I was just joking about the fact that Beetlejuice looks older. 😅 They did do a great job with his makeup, and he still had that awesome energy.
I was sorely disappointed in this movie. It was a little fun but too many problems to call it good. The biggest one was Beetlejuice himself. Keaton played him well but he wasn't scary in the story. In the first movie you dont say his name 3 rimes or terrible things happen. In this movie he was just helpful, did nothing wrong. He was more like the Beetlejuice from the cartoon. Then theres his wife. What was the point, she added nothing and changed nothing. They could have removed her from the story and it wouldnt have changed a thing. They just kept showing clips of her getting closer to Beetlejuice like there was going to be some climax, but she finds him and immediately gets eaten by a sandworm. Why was she part of the story? It was pointless. Then that song at the wedding, it started fun but went on waaaay too long. It was just trying to remake the day o song but didnt quite hit the mark, should uave been a minute or two but it went on far too long. And then that cop. Was funny and i liked him but he said the name Beetlejuice so many times. I thought you dont say his name 3 times, but its like they forgot that was a thing with him. The movie was still a little fun, but i was so disappointed. The acting was excellent, but the story was bad. I like the evil Beetlejuice who you dont say his name. He was just a helpful nice guy in this movie. He didn't trick anyone but was tricked himself by lydia. The best part of the movie was far and away lydias mom. She was funny as hell. And Keaton was good as beetljuice, he was funny. Just not the trickster from the first movie. And the way he lost on a technicality was a dumb copout. Why would sneaking her in null the contract? And how would ortega get that from quick glances at the book for the recently diseased (which is supposed ro be hard ro understand according to the first movie) and she could spawn a sandworm from those quick glances. She learnwd an awful lot without actually reading the book. The acting was good and that made the movie fun but the story was horrible and made no sense at times and just didnt do Beetlejuice justice.
@@TotallyAwesomeFilmsPodcast you are welcome. And don't get me wrong, if you liked the movie then enjoy it. I just find that for a movie as iconic as Beetlejuice, the sequel had big shoes to fill and didn't hit the mark for me. I was hoping for a terminator 2 or mad Max fury road or top gun maverick. Instead we got ninja turtles 2 (original) where it was fun to watch but couldn't hold a candle to the first one.
It was nice to revisit beetlejuice, however this movie was a poor sequel. Tim Burton was a phenominal director for a time. He hasn't done anything noteworthy since Big Fish. The man is spent.
it wasn't Beetlejuice who made them sing day-o it was Barbara and Adam
Interesting!
How could 2 Ghosts possess all those people???
@@treystephens6166 They literally show that it was Barbara and Adam in the movie.
I came here to say this.
@@icomeandgobybubble87 I know, but I don’t think one ghost could possess more then one body at a time.
I would have loved if the movie showed a flashback of the Maitlands moving on.
That would have been so awesome!
Or a de-aged Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis

15:48 Actually, it's the Donna Summer version they are lip-syncing to.
That makes it even crazier and funnier. 🤣

That's so true about Beetlejuice! 🤣 I really liked the movie as well.
He looks older because the actor Michael Keaton is older. They used enough makeup to be able to cover it up though.

I saw everything coming in the movie maybe not tje death of Delia but other than that not shocked
Man, I guess you really didn't like the movie. 🤣

I totally agree with you.

I enjoyed it. This was the first Tim Burton movie in a while that I enjoyed. But I agree. He's not the same genius he used to be.
So confused why you liked it
I liked it for Michael Keaton. The dead people that were shown and for the nostalgia. Didnt care about the plot too much.
I really liked it.
I agree. It was great seeing Michael Keaton!
Rhe sandworms don't look tne exact same nothing does
I rhought they looked pretty similar. 😜
