You're very close to Wilmington and Lake Placid NY, and at 3:18, you can see Whiteface Mountain and the Whiteface Castle on top. We LOVE this area, and stay there for about a week every summer. It's beautiful in fall, but you should it in summer, when the inviting swimming holes and waterfalls give you lots of places to cool off. At 6:15, you were at the Flume Waterfall and swimming hole, just outside of Wilmington. We jump off the rocks at the right, and it's even deep enough there to dive. At 10:14 is one of our favorite views: The entry drive into the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center, looking across the Ausable River valley and up at the Whiteface Mountain ski trails. That gondola ride is fantastic! The 3 big waterfalls at Letchworth are amazing! Middle Falls is my favorite. Next time, you need to go see the huge number of waterfalls at Watkins Glen and Ithaca. The Canadian side of Niagara Falls definitely has the best views, but Niagara Falls State Park on the US side lets you get very close to the falls. So nice to see where you went in our beloved Upstate NY!

Thanks again for another great informative video! I'm not too far from the Lakes myself. This definitely makes me want to go visit them. I'm originally from Massachusetts and have been going to Lake George since i was a kid. I've been in most places from Canada down to Connecticut here in the northeast. If i can ever get to the point to work remotely, I'd love to travel in the west. Good luck and safe travels on your next trip! Keep up the good work.

I'm a 21-year-old pyrography artist, and I've been building a campervan in Northern Maine for the past few summers now... I'm planning on traveling the entire coast of my home state this summer, taking my camper bus/van for its first fully functional adventure! (with the best dog ever right next to me) I'm SOOO excited for what the future holds, and I'm also very thankful to have found you and all your tips. they will no doubt come in incredibly handy for the start of my travels. I'm planning on taking highway 95 aaall the way along the coast down to Florida come next fall. A lot like you... to escape the harsh winters... I wish you so much luck Sarah! Thanks for all you do!

When I go hiking, zero music is being played. There's a time when you're out in nature to just let your mind go, and not only enjoy the beauty and the fresh air, but any of the sounds you will hear. I really think you're missing out. Put the phone in your back pocket or your backpack and just enjoy. We're on our phones and laptops too much.

Wow ! This was such a nice episode in memory lane for me. I live in Massachusetts and just last week I watch you cover New England. I grew up in Upstate NY. I remember when I was younger my parents took us to Whiteface Mountain and all the way to the top there were actually snow it was so beautiful. Thanks for sharing such beautiful scenery.

Next time you are at Letchworth (and its decent weather for the use especially if you camp at either location) your camp pass allows ypu access to Stonybrrook State park as well which isn't too far from Letchworth and vice versa. The biggest difference is that Letchworth has electric while Stonybrook does not. Both parks are great for camping, so you definitely need to return in season to get to see both spots. Also, Allegheny State Park about 2 hrs south has great natural views and plenty of hiking as well. Awesome you included the Finger Lakes in your journey! If you get to Rochester get yourself a Garbage Plate... gotta go to Dog Town as they even have a Vegan version....

Yeah, I remember being told there were only five because they were like the fingers on your hand. I liked the three falls on the Genesee River in Letchworth State Park. After my last day in college, I drove home (Michigan to NJ) and went through Canada because I wanted to see Niagara Falls. As I walked the "trail" to the falls, I could not believe all of the mist from the falls and when I got to the point where you got a full view of the falls, I was like OMG!. I got there around dusk, so I did see the falls, but fortunately they were lit up with lights. Unfortunately, too dark for my Kodak Instamatic 44 camera...lol. When I got back to my car and took off my jacket, there was a sheet of ice on the back from the mist freezing on it. I was there in January.
