Hmmm… John goes to Salem with you.. and he gets sick but you don’t? 🤨😳🧙🏼♀️🙂🤣🤣🤣🙂 It’s awesome that you did this video this week. I’ve been thinking of going to Salem for the week of Halloween and my birthday.
10:17 - Did anyone else catch it? In prior segment an illness was suggested grounds to be a witch, and next segment, "He is not feeling well..." Level Epic.
I'm smiling because I can tell you are definitely an educator! Lol! I love how you teach in your videos and how you share the history of all the places that you go and in addition you're kind enough to also provide links in case we want more info! You'll be wonderful when you're in a classroom someday! Although, I don't want you to stop traveling as I'm enjoying your videos so much! All the best! 😁
So much fun, thank you for sharing! The history teacher in me though has to add a comment. The ergot theory has been completely debunked (I know they still talk about it at the museum). To the extent any of it was biologically based the leading theory is that it was a form of encephalitis, a mosquito borne infection that causes swelling of the brain and can cause seizures, hallucinations, etc. The witch hysteria (which spread far beyond Salem) ultimately was the product of a whole range of social, political and, yes, even biological causes that all intertwined at that moment in history. Ok, I'll stop nerding out now. 🙃
Tonight I watched your video of the visit to Boston, I never knew how much history the city had and I liked Salem part you really started Halloween early since it was only Aug 🎃 Thank you Sarah again for sharing your adventure. I look forward to seeing the next video. The music you were playing on your trip Ps I did see the stage play of mama Mai in Philadelphia, I too enjoy the songs from the show and I have the CD.
Whenever I visit Boston from NNJ, I always make a point to stop by Boston Common. It's such a vibrant park, with a guitarist serenading the crowd, squirrels running around, and a pond that transforms into an ice skating wonderland in the winter. I love to imagine what the squirrels are chattering about as I sit under a willow tree or stand on the bridge, taking in the never-ending youthful energy and the sense of hope that fills the air. It's an incredible experience, surrounded by great vibes and a feeling of pure magic and hope - Cmanuellos
Awww I grew up but in NH but I haven’t been back. It was awesome seeing where I went on my field trip back middle school. Memories came flooding back to me when I saw that park. I remember sitting there with my classmates eating lunch after the museum. Thanks Sarah.
thanks Sarah, this is what i like from "van/car life" and hiking videos, a little info about the places, they are basically travel series. i do like the fun of them too!
Visiting Salem was a great place to kick off October and Halloween season. The Witches Museum looked very informative about a sad chapter in Salem's history. I was intrigued by all of the shops and will have to google them. You love Reese's but my favorite here in Seattle, WA is Lily's sugarless dark chocolate peanut butter cups. If you like dark chocolate you may become a convert!
August? Hmm. Cute as your hair is in pigtails it's gorgeous just long. Very interesting video. When I visited Boston on my honeymoon decades ago I loved the rich history and the Quincy Market. Love ya! 🥰
Here’s a piece of history to add to your collection, Sarah. In Central Massachusetts there is a upscale restaurant called the Salem Cross Inn. The part of the name with a double S is written in the old style where the first one looked like our current small f without the crossbar and with an extra little tail going to the left. In the 1600s when there was so much belief in witchcraft and devils, people would put a special sign on their barns to protect their livestock. Not surprisingly this sign to ward off demons is called a Salem cross.
If you ever go back you need to spend time in the Peabody Museum. Salem was a major shipping port back in the day and there is history from all over the world in the Peabody. Plan for at least a couple hours but might be possible to spend a full day.
You picked the right time to go to Salem Massachusetts. Is in about a week that place is going to be so packed and the traffic will be crazy. I'm happy you enjoyed my home state of Massachusetts
@@sarahhberkowitz We did. Yes it’s always best to go there in the off season. I really enjoyed your videos they are helping me as I get started on my new channel. Thank you 😎
Excellent video , Sarah !!!!!! I was wondering if you were going to Salem . I had an ancestor who was accused of being a witch and was executed. Have fun and stay safe !!!!!
Hey sarah! Love your videos - I don't know if you have to from a legal standpoint but I didn't see any sort of paid promotional disclaimer at the beginning of the video. I don't know if you have to put that in?
In 2011, I directed a production of The Crucible. The cast and I went to Salem and the cast were in costume. We did publicity photos in Salem. That was so much fun.
Wicked, and spooky. Boston has it all 😊 You have some really cool brothers in law! Also, please share where the tacos are from?! Looks so delicious! I'm always on the lookout for amazing no meat tacos. Love when places put a hard shell inside a soft shell tortilla 😍
@@sarahhberkowitz awesome! Thanks so much, Sarah. Will definitely give them a try in future 😊 it looks like black bean and corn and then pico and avo maybe? But was there any faux meat on there under the rest of the stuff or just the black beans?
Got any pics of you being a laundry basket Sarah? LOL Yes, hide them...do not post. Haha. Love me some Salem, Mass!! Grew up 15 miles south of there. Lived in Salem for a year in the 80's. Lots more commercialized now....but still maintains the small New England town feel...except end of August to November 1st. Haha. BTW...that was Salem Commons you were in, not Salem Willows Park (which is about 1.5 miles east of there). Did you have breakfast or lunch at Red's Sandwich Shop? Cool spot!!
Cool video but all I could think was those poor people who got sick and were accused of witch craft and some were executed and they were innocent! 😮 Stay safe 🥰 That was nice of your brother in law to come visit. 😊
WOW😲 You are really cute❤️ And a month behind because this is the first week of October. The day after my birthday. Also I feel as though we need a photo of you as a Laundry Basket😎
I learned about your journey through a Japanese short movie. I hope to continue watching your wonderful challenges. I have one request. Please refrain from filming with one hand while driving. If you need a stand to secure your smartphone, I will cover the cost. I wish you a safe journey. Lav 4 you from Tokyo Japan.
Really cool Ms Sarah 😊 Thank you and don’t let the ghost’s, goblin’s, witches or ghouls get you😈👹👹🤡🤖👻👾💀👽🧙🧟♀️🧛♂️🧌🧟🧞♀️, I think that’s all of em😮😂😂😂😂😂 Love your videos and A Happy Halloween to you too 😊❤
This weekend I decided to post a quick 4th video to kick off spooky season. Happy October everyone! 🎃
Hmmm… John goes to Salem with you.. and he gets sick but you don’t? 🤨😳🧙🏼♀️🙂🤣🤣🤣🙂

Sarah,
As a subscriber am I required to watch every video or can I take a week off once in a while?
Happy October or as some say Shana Tova 😂
So does a witch really weigh more than a duck? (See "Monty Python and The Holy Grail").
Hey Sarah, thanks for sharing your videos stay safe✌️

LOVED the creepy music used for Salem, good choice Sarah. I loved museums like that with artefacts, clothing and wax people. So cool.

Laundry basket is the smartest costume ever ! If you're greedy for some CANDAY!! 😆
Hope you liked Boston. We're from Seacoast NH, hope you get up this way some time. Love seeing you with your cuz Nikki!! 🙂
Thats where I live. Hops you enjoyed your visit ❤
We love you Cousin Sarah!

Great video. You are in my backyard and showed it really well.
What is the name of that 10:10 taco place?
It was good to see the harbor that I read about in history call them the Boston tea party that was interesting and good to see
So glad you liked it!
What a fun trip. Thank you for sharing.

LOVE Salem! Went for Halloween last year. Best Halloween party I’ve ever been to.
Ropes Mansion- (Hocus Pocus house) is a must for me when I visit Salem. Enjoyed the video! 😊
Another Great Video Sarah Happy Spooky Season To You ❤

I have your exact same power station and fridge, they're awesome!
Right?! I'm so happy with both of them
It looks so beautiful there! 😍🙌

Good choice Sarah I being there I love that place 😊❤❤
Hi Sarah, my favorite is The Salem Witches, and as a kid I was scared.
You picked the right time to go to Salem Massachusetts. Is in about a week that place is going to be so packed and the traffic will be crazy. I'm happy you enjoyed my home state of Massachusetts
I wanted to post a Salem video in October, but definitely wanted to avoid the crowd while filming!
Ill walk with you and explore boston and beyond!:)
I knew very little about Salem. Nice vid.
Cool video!! I was in Salem today soo busy. Went to the Monster Museum in the mall so good.
We wanted to avoid the crowd, but glad you had a great time at the mall!

I’ve been to Salem twice. The area is so beautiful. I’d live there if I could.
That slice of white pizza looked good (Jersey has the best).
Hi Sarah. 4:43. I thought the prices were high here in Canada. Hot lobster roll special $38.99. That is eSPECIALly expensive!!!! KEN
Always luv me some Sarah 👍😎🥰
Okay I love your laundry basket idea as a Halloween costume. You could basically be a walking candy storage unit.
interesting video and history. ❤ from malaysia
Salem’s a lot of fun
Morning from Hawaii that was a good tour witches on this video
I forgot to say the only thing missing in your videos is a pup to tag along and be your companion!
👍#250...great vidio always traved in that area in a semi so never got to stop and see the sights.
Wicked, and spooky. Boston has it all 😊
You have some really cool brothers in law!
Also, please share where the tacos are from?! Looks so delicious! I'm always on the lookout for amazing no meat tacos. Love when places put a hard shell inside a soft shell tortilla 😍
Spitfire Tacos Salem. They were actually the BEST vegetarian tacos!
@@sarahhberkowitz awesome! Thanks so much, Sarah. Will definitely give them a try in future 😊 it looks like black bean and corn and then pico and avo maybe? But was there any faux meat on there under the rest of the stuff or just the black beans?
Never mind, I think I found it on their menu.
The Mr Bean taco. Sounds yum!
Love how many vegan and veg options they have on their menu 😊
One of my relatives was tried as a witch in this period.
Thank you for the history tour. Nice hearing about local history. You diffently did not need John. Your better without all the family😅
Awesome place sarah I want to go there

Thank you for that correction, I did state the wrong park..
I love Mama Mia too. Parts of the movie were filmed in my beautiful contry of Croatia.❤ Have you watched part 2?
Very informative
Love you ! Ove
I’m like that with the LesMis play. Almost every lyric memorized 😂
Musicals are the best!
Be honest now..... was John suffering with a hangover? 🤣
I'm guessing the lobster roll 🤔😅
Cool video but all I could think was those poor people who got sick and were accused of witch craft and some were executed and they were innocent! 😮 Stay safe 🥰 That was nice of your brother in law to come visit. 😊
Love the History, thank you Sarah. P.S. you like dogs or cats? 😊
Great video. It was a bit strange after telling the story about everyone getting sick. Then your brother-in-law was not feeling well.
Right?! It was just a cold though haha
I love Momma Mia too. I sing really loud to the songs in my car.
I love your video
WOW😲 You are really cute❤️

Gorgeous Sarah👸🏻😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice tour. Let´s make a spell. :))
she reminds me so much of another youtuber- Chelsea Luna aka bunnihopper haha same voice and she did carlife for a little bit
Did John eat some local rye? Or maybe Sarah is a witch and cast a spell on him.
Did John consume contaminated rye?
A laundry basket?! 😂😂😂
What was the restaurant 😅😅😅
Really cool Ms Sarah 😊
Thank you and don’t let the ghost’s, goblin’s, witches or ghouls get you😈👹👹🤡🤖👻👾💀👽🧙🧟♀️🧛♂️🧌🧟🧞♀️, I think that’s all of em😮😂😂😂😂😂
Love your videos and A Happy Halloween to you too 😊❤
By the way.....100,000 grand is sneaky good and I know so many people that say that as a sleeper.
Maybe John caught some residual witchiness, or warlockiness? Reese's ftw
Ergot rye mold is what LSD is made from.
put some more halloween content up please
I just watched Salems Lot last nite.,watch them vampires 🧛 😆
Talk about keeping it in the family. Lol.
You're so pretty❤

So Sarah, it would seem you made John ill, it must be "Witchcraft"💀💀. 🤣🤣
Holllaaa!!!
Hello!
Best tacos you've ever had, but where??
I think it's Spitfire with the neon open sign and AC above the door, but would love a confirmation 😊
Yes it was Spitfire
Hi Sarah, I recently started watching your videos and subscribed to your channel. I enjoyed your content.
Are you vegetarian?
Why did you sleep outside while John slept in the house? That was weird
John got possessed by the witch 😳
iron sand and iron oxide below your car
It's pronounced Quin-zee Mahkit 😁
