Welcome to Florida! Been here since 2006. I left my state with nothing but my car and what I could fit in it. Lived out of my car, found a job, soon a place to live, met a lady, had kids, and now watching them grow up.
Parking is free at Castillo de San Marcos btwn 5pm & 8am. I've slept there several nights with the lighthouse flashing and hearing the drawbridge bells on the Bridge of Lions!
I’ve lost my parking spot a few times and when not close to home, it is scary. Glad you found it. I would not have thought of my phone helping 😊. I would ask a local or an officer to help if needed. Great video and love the poem.
Your videos are fun, educational, and adventurous. I genuinely enjoy it when you go to the museums, and of course the parks and waterfronts. Keep up the good work Sarah!!! ✌
Thanks for the laugh. Happens to me all the time that I have a bright idea that should’ve come much earlier in the day. Glad you stuck with it and that you stayed calm.
Fun and informative video as always. Glad you got to check out Savannah! My sister and brother in law moved there a few years ago, after living in Brooklyn for 30 years! Love visiting that city. We’re originally from north Jersey and I wound up going to school and settling in the Boston area. So I really loved your New England adventures, as I frequently visit and hike in some of the areas you covered there. Bitter cold has set in up here, stay in 23:16 FL as long as you can 😂 Seriously, enjoy your family time and your holidays.
Well done show Sarah. You definitely made the right move. It’s the first day of winter as I’m viewing this. Tonight it’s going down to -4 in Connecticut. Enjoy the warmth and sunshine.
I’ve been wanting to explore more of the south. Georgia looks beautiful. Here’s a tip for never losing your car: I usually do this when hiking in case I get lost and need to get back to my truck, but if you have an iphone and open maps it will tell you where your vehicle is parked. I don’t know if Android does the same thing but you can always pin your parked location in google maps or whatever maps you use. ✌️
I really enjoy traveling with you all over the USA. It feels like I am riding along with you on your adventures and enjoying the locations. When we were kids, our family took vacations and made it to all of the states except for Alaska. (On my bucket list). Up in Canada, we stopped at a lighthouse and since were from California, the light keeper took us for a tour and let us go inside, Most definitely a once in a lifetime experience. One minor comment, when you paint your fingernails, it looks great! Keep up the great work and enjoy life.
It makes me happy to see you travel the country at a very young age. I've hesitated to visit Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC due to supposed crime in the area but if you can do it then I sure can! I need to get out there more myself. Merry Christmas and stay safe out there.
Hi Sarah,so glad to see you in my home town of St.Augustine! I grew up on Anastasia island a few blocks south of the pier. It is a tourist town and has grown so much. I miss the old town when you knew almost everyone by name. My family name is Solana, one of the oldest documented families. Safe travels 🐊
Hey Sarah if you get to Hollywood FL this Christmas should be 80 degrees. Two years ago on Christmas Day it was in the 40s so if you’re looking for a warm place to stay South Florida is the best right now. I’ve lived everywhere from New York to California & I’m never moving again. It’s been several years since I’ve left the state of Florida since moving back here for good. Be safe & enjoy your journey, take your time & enjoy everything in life.
Used to travel to Charlston quite a bit for work. Loved it! Great low country food and hospitality. Favorite restaurant is Magnolias. Favorite hotel is the Charleston Place Hotel, like a block from the market. Lots of history all around!
Hey kiddo love your videos. (On the losing your car problem) When you park go to your Google maps and either snap shot the screen with it small enough you can see the cross streets for future reference to find your car or you can also drop a pin at that location then you can just pull the pin up and it will guide you to your car. ❤ Happy holidays Sarah.
I use All Trails for hiking but you can also navigate with it. It uses a blue line as you walk. You can just retrace your steps. I use it all the time . I really enjoy your channel by the way , look forward to it every Saturday.
I always take a photo of recognizable locations and also on google maps you can drop a pin where you are and save it as "parking" so you can find exactly where you parked. Hope that helps!
We’ve never been questioned at a rest area anywhere in the country on our promaster van in any of the 46 states we’ve traveled in last 6 years. No overnight parking can sometimes just mean you can’t leave unattended vehicle overnight.
Welcome to savannah, The trees are Spanish moss oak and Oglethorpe square named after founder james olgethorpe where the bench use to be where forrest gump was filmed. down near river street and bay st the oldest original cobble stone rd in america. Btw throw an airtag inside ur glove box while u leave away so u can easily find ur car later.
Hey Sarah - I thought of something you said in a video where car life made you a morning person. It did the same to me however I recently purchased a puck/dome light that is rechargeable and has a nice warm color and it really lights up the vehicle. It can help you set your own schedule if needed. Something to consider
Enjoy your time in Florida but be aware that it can still get very cold there, especially in January. Just keep going further south! Look for manatees in places like Blue Springs State Park near Deland. They are awesome to watch! Thanks for sharing your travels and stay safe and have fun with family down there.
My compliments (again probably) for the video. The Florida area makes it, for me atleast, even more interesting because of the wildlife overthere. Looking forward to your next 'update' or video, however you want to name or call it. 😊 With love from the Netherlands
I always use my phone to take a picture of the cross street nearest where I parked. Makes it easy to figure out where you parked. This was good before geotagging photos.
That's one heck of a drive, I remember my company was sent to fort Chaffee it was less miles than that but with our vehicles governed to be around 45 miles an hr it was one long convoy from fort Riley to Chaffee. Our next deployment involved flights out of Manhattan KS airport a lot better lol. But nothing beats traveling in a chinook at tree top lvl :O
Welcome to Florida Sarah! The St.Augustine lighthouse was featured on Ghost Hunters. Me and my girlfriend climb to the top and that view is pretty awesome!! Enjoy St. Augustine and try to visit George Street Market area and the Fort.
Oh my gosh!! Madras lentils are my favorite I like it on my hot beef hotdog i use the lentils like it’s chili and make a chili dog and sprinkle with cheese. Another way of eating madras lentils on a bake potato bittersweet sour cream and lentils and then topped with shredded cheese
I also want to say that I used to live in Florida when I was a kid and then a teen and I absolutely loved it there and still do. I've lived there for a total of about 10 years and I've pretty much been everywhere from disney world to epcot to the Kennedy space center and pretty much everything in between I had a blast when I lived there.
You missed the best part of the Riverfront. The LARGE shipping vessels that pass by on the way to the Port of Savannah. They dwarf the buildings and riverwalk. Such fun.
Yay 🎉 Savannah! Those are Live Oaks with Spanish Moss. They are one of the most beautiful things in the world to me. So much so I spent my 30th “bday” in Savannah and it’s still my favorite trip! Just don’t ever touch the Spanish moss bc little red bugs sometimes live in it and they can eat you up (my friend from Savannah told me this 😂) There are more trees like that in Hilton Head, SC too. But I’m not sure if you can tour most of that island Or if you need to be a resident. I know they are in other southern states too.
What is with Savannah parking? I couldn’t find my car there either - was freaking out for what seemed like hours. Next time I’ll use your photo solution. So your poem clarified that the trees were live oaks with Spanish moss.
#RightHandShift too powerful. Putting it in gear without starting the car. hahaha i think all water in FL tastes a little funny/weird, not just the stuff that gives you eternal life 🤣
I did that once (the not finding my car after parking) once. Well, more than once...but one time I was with someone else who I was responsible for. It was later at night, and dark...and I walked around the area for about 15-25 minutes. The person I was with, who has an intellectual disability, was convinced my car was stolen. I was convinced I just was missing it. After walking around a 3 block radius literally half a dozen times, I finally found it literally 1 block over. That was sure fun.
Hey, Sarah, another fun video! And once again, you came up with music which I liked and Sound Hound was useless at finding. 😋 Could you please let me know what that music at 21:01 is?
So Sarah I have a solution for you If you ever get lost Also while hiking The apple watch I recently bought 1You can pin Where You start from And it will guide you back With the gentle bumps On your wrist to go right or left It's it's a really cool feature The cheap 1Is on sale right now I think for 250
Thanks for taking us on your adventures. Wanted to say that you can say Siri remember my parking spot. It will show you where it is when you ask “Siri where did I park “ later on.
If I’m parking in random spots I’ll take a screen shot of my location in Google Maps 👌 But thinking about it again now, you could actually save a pin which you could set as a destination for directions on the way back to the car 🚗 😁 I’m gunna do that!
Welcome to Florida! Been here since 2006. I left my state with nothing but my car and what I could fit in it. Lived out of my car, found a job, soon a place to live, met a lady, had kids, and now watching them grow up.
Love your shows. It’s been 20 years since we traveled through those cities.
Parking is free at Castillo de San Marcos btwn 5pm & 8am. I've slept there several nights with the lighthouse flashing and hearing the drawbridge bells on the Bridge of Lions!
The Cracker Barrel seems so wholesome and safe place to sleep, especially with other campers and vans there.
It's such a nice spot. I hope campers continue to take care of it
I’ve lost my parking spot a few times and when not close to home, it is scary. Glad you found it. I would not have thought of my phone helping 😊. I would ask a local or an officer to help if needed. Great video and love the poem.

Cool story of Bitty and Beau's Coffee. It originated in Wilmington, NC. We love supporting them!!

Apple has those locator tags not just for keys 🔑 yes cars 🚙 too 👍😁
I love how you make your videos educational. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and enjoy your family time.

Another great video Sarah. Loved the ‘Dude…where’s my car?’ moment!😂😂😂😂
Sarah safe travels I hope you have this wonderful holiday season
I'm glad you visited Savannah and River Street. I've been there, and I would love to go back. So much history!
I drop whatever I’m doing to watch Sarah! ❤
Belated welcome to Charleston, Sarah! Hope you enjoyed it!!!
Always so beautiful Sarah. Glad you’re having a great time.❤

Great video Sarah… may you enjoy a very Blessed & Beautiful Christmas…
air tag in the car does help too

Great video. Love the new set up for your car. Have a great Christmas
You can save in google maps where you parked so it's easy to navigate back. Or, leave an airtag in your car.
I always take a photo of recognizable locations and also on google maps you can drop a pin where you are and save it as "parking" so you can find exactly where you parked. Hope that helps!
I’ve Literally Been Binge Watching All Your Videos And Then You Drop One Right On Time😇❤️
Good one Sarah!!!!!
When we were kids, we used to call those, The Bearded Trees.😊. Very distinct fragrance.
Checkout the Flower Town Festival in Summerville SC in the spring. Lots or arts and crafts displays.
Hi Sarah, those trees are called Angel Oaks. It's a species of large Southern Live Oak.
Thanks for you new video Sarah, i wish you a happy Xmas and new year, que el nuevo año sea de muchos videos como este 😊😊
Sarah Berkowitz Such A Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
We’ve never been questioned at a rest area anywhere in the country on our promaster van in any of the 46 states we’ve traveled in last 6 years. No overnight parking can sometimes just mean you can’t leave unattended vehicle overnight.
We have live oak trees along the Texas coast. The Spanish moss grows on those. Come visit Lake Jackson Texas

Brilliant Sarah .
I moved from Connecticut to Saint Augustine eight years ago and love it. Saint Augustine is amazing.
Enjoy your time in Florida but be aware that it can still get very cold there, especially in January. Just keep going further south! Look for manatees in places like Blue Springs State Park near Deland. They are awesome to watch! Thanks for sharing your travels and stay safe and have fun with family down there.
St Augustine is very popular during Christmas due to all the events they hold the lights are so beautiful there
My compliments (again probably) for the video. The Florida area makes it, for me atleast, even more interesting because of the wildlife overthere. Looking forward to your next 'update' or video, however you want to name or call it. 😊 With love from the Netherlands

"drop a pin" with the cars location to avoid wandering. I do this when I boondock in an area that I'm not familiar with.
Perfect time of year to visit FL.....nice lighthouse here in Jupiter
Oh my gosh!! Madras lentils are my favorite I like it on my hot beef hotdog i use the lentils like it’s chili and make a chili dog and sprinkle with cheese. Another way of eating madras lentils on a bake potato bittersweet sour cream and lentils and then topped with shredded cheese

Pretty sure the are pin oaks with Spanish moss... hard to tell without a close up.👍
GOYA? OBOYA!!! 😄😄 love that you chose the Goya brand 🤟
Looking forward to your reveal on your international travel!
I am SO excited. Can't wait to show everyone!
You missed the best part of the Riverfront. The LARGE shipping vessels that pass by on the way to the Port of Savannah. They dwarf the buildings and riverwalk. Such fun.
I know that can't find my car feeling 😜If you travel enough it will happen. Merry Christmas Sarah!
Love you Sarah!
🎉Merry 🎅🏽 Christmas 🎄 and have the best New Year 🎉🫶🏼
Finding your car after an hour and the relief was so heart warming 🥰
very beautiful sceneries i live near crystal river they have nice natural springs that are stunning and nice parks to walk in Inverness fl
Yay 🎉 Savannah!
Those are Live Oaks with Spanish Moss. They are one of the most beautiful things in the world to me. So much so I spent my 30th “bday” in Savannah and it’s still my favorite trip!

Next time you're near Savannah a stop by Wormsloe is a must. Even if you just view it from the entrance for free.

Merry Christmas Sarah!
Informative content trav
great video 💛
My fiancé and I love your videos. Safe travels in Florida.
Also you can drop a pin when you park and will always have the location of your car. And it will give you the directions to get there….✌️

That was sure fun.
Google Maps also has the saved parking in the app. I believe the Toyota app also has a feature that saves the last location parked
was just about to leave the geolocation tip with the pics... but hey! you got it! LOL!
Another great video
They have free orange juice at the Florida welcome center. That would have been a refreshing treat while you were taking a break.
Plaet Fitness, good one 😂 be safe out there. Happy Holidays Sarah !
Happy holidays!
Thanks!
Please be careful down there.
Hey, Sarah, another fun video! And once again, you came up with music which I liked and Sound Hound was useless at finding. 😋 Could you please let me know what that music at 21:01 is?
Lower Down the Bridge by Yara Meyers
@@sarahhberkowitz Thanks, much! 🥰
No over night parking?
Open your door, look under your car, and smile when you say "But I parked in an empty space. There's no nights under my car."
You are a genius.
The trees are Spanish moss. I was in Savannah the week of Halloween.
Merry Christmas. 🧑🎄
Hey Sarah. I’m in Okeechobee, Fl., if you need a place to park. I live on 3+ acres so plenty of room if you wish to park.
So Sarah I have a solution for you If you ever get lost Also while hiking The apple watch I recently bought 1You can pin Where You start from And it will guide you back With the gentle bumps On your wrist to go right or left It's it's a really cool feature The cheap 1Is on sale right now I think for 250
Welcome to Florida, if you come by Daytona Beach you can park in our driveway.
Thanks for taking us on your adventures. Wanted to say that you can say Siri remember my parking spot. It will show you where it is when you ask “Siri where did I park “ later on.
I'm in Texas today. Very pleasant driving. Fast!
If I’m parking in random spots I’ll take a screen shot of my location in Google Maps 👌 But thinking about it again now, you could actually save a pin which you could set as a destination for directions on the way back to the car 🚗 😁 I’m gunna do that!
I like your window covers. Did u make them ?
See ya on your next adventure.🙃
I lol’d at the unboxing of brunch. Lets see how it looks…all right…😂
Nice places , nice views .
Hey Sarah, if you have trouble finding your car, you might want to consider putting an AirTag (or other brand) in it.
Works fine for me 😂
