We love to visit Charleston every chance we get. We love to camp at James Island Co Park especially during the Holidays and the festival of lights. Love your videos. ❤
Charleston is such a fun city. We absolutely love the historical architecture. Our old sticks and bricks was in a historic district in Michigan. Thanks for taking us along.
We were in Charleston that same weekend for our family Christmas. My niece lives not too far from the KOA! We did the Festival of lights! Highly recommend. Really enjoy your videos!
When I stared watching you not long after you started, I was just watching to get ideas on where to go. We do not RV but just to get ideas. You have given us so many ideas on where to go since we are retired and can travel now. We are like nomads, even though we stay in motels. Have a small plan, but let the wind take us on our journey. Some of our best stops have been just saying along the way. That looks like fun and just stop. We did not have a schedule to meet, just see the country. The Eastern side of the country. We live near Atl. GA. Thru Tenn. , up thru Kentucky, Ohio, to Niagra Falls, over to N.H. to see friends, missed Maine due to season, back home. Last run was thru Shenandoah Valley, may gosh. Can it get more beautiful !!!!! 32 days, 4005 miles best trip of our lives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tara, you will like this. Half of our trip my bride ( yes, she is still my bride after 35 yrs. ) when she said stop for this we did. Some times I rolled my eyes, turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. I had to eat CROW. Those turned out to be some of the best stops of our trip. Case in point, Mark Twains house. We were passing by the area while I was driving, she screamed out we are near his house and we need to stop. I rolled my eyes and said ok. Boy was I wrong. That house was incredible, if we had missed that. I would have kicked my own ass back to GA. Listen to your better half. Most of the time they are the better half. Rock on TARA, Chad you are on your own. LOVE YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!!! SAFE TRAVELS !!!!!!!
Beautiful area. Looked ya'll picked the right time to be in a nice location. Seemed like it was Daiisy approved, important things in life ! Thank ya'll for taking us along with you. God bless, and ya'll stay safe on the road.
We love camping at the KOA and over the last 6 years made many improvements and only a few minutes to Charleston 👍 and Beaches. Thanks for Sharing and Safe Travels. 🏝️
I found a yellow jacket nest in the root system of our tulip poplar trees. They are tall and narrow trees. I was 16-17 yrs old, I pour gas from the the lawn mower tank down the hole. I used a grill start lighter, and dang near killed myself. I didn’t think such an explosion of dirt to topple a tree would occur. It did! I didn’t know they make a cavern and the gas fumes built up. I lit that thing and oh boy! Did it blow. My dad was angry to see the tree blocking the drive way and even more mad, I didn’t think! I learned a lesson that day. I am 57 and still remember it. Great video!
Always enjoyed downtown Charleston especially parking at Battery Park & sitting in the sunshine. Liberty Square & the Aquarium are fun too & have plenty of parking. Favorite restaurant was Hominy Grill on Rutledge St (now closed) with the jalapeño hush puppies.
Thank you for the Walking tour it was so amazing. The guide was a wealth of knowledge and brought out so much history. I would love to see the African American museum and about the slave market. We had history in Mississippi at Natchez about the slave market and the history is so rich there. Thanks for sharing
Your 350 looked like a snug fit downtown, in several places. 👍 ||| Used KOA quite a bit for several years. Parks generally well kept, with accommodating staff. Even saw the KOA rep., driving their bright yellow SUV around almost daily. One park had full time security, (location specific), very cool.
We love this area, We are coming down to Mt. Pleasant in a couple of weeks. We always stay at Shem Creek Inn. We have been going to Charleston area for at least 10yrs.
37 years as a railroader, that's the first time I ever felt sorry for a caboose. That's an old southern railway caboose. Fun fact: another name railroaders use for cabooses is crummy. Now ya know....lol
You guys do, Charleston, great. I hope you enjoyed your time thier love your pretty flower on your pants cute. Thank you for showing me how to plan a trip this year. I'll be taking two trips, one in April, to gatlinburg TN, and in July, I'll be vacationing with my daughter and kids to mytle Beach. I paid for a budget motel gatlinburg. My daughter rented airbnb on mytle ⛱️ that trip is in july. The only thing I have left to do is call life alert when I leave. Thank you again. Have a great day.
Thank you for yet another great video! I have to say I have become enough of a fan of the three of you that the two weeks since the last video seemed like forever. Any plans on heading to Michigan? The entire state has a lot to offer. From Greenfield Village, and Henry Ford Museum, to Silver Lake, Holland, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, to the forts in Mackinaw City, and on Mackinaw Island, to the Soo Locks, and the falls in the U.P.. Best time to visit is May to October for you guys. (miss the cold that way...lol) Keep up the great videos, and have a blast!!
I think that bird with the long neck is an Anhinga. There's quite a few of them where I'm camping right now at Torry Island on Lake Okeechobee. The KOA looks nice. Keep the good stuff coming and Tara please don't let Chad toss his kids they're a little too big for and he might hurt himself.
Departure depression! Oh my gosh, that's what it's called LOL. I definitely get that. We are headed to South Carolina in a week. Looking forward to walking the streets you two just did.
Charleston is a gorgeous place and the video was great fun. Although I felt sorry for Daisy. She needs her own pet stroller for the long walks. She would love it, it would keep her safe and it's great fun to push your fur baby in it's own stroller. They fold up flat and don't take up any room at all. Check um out.
Such a good time! I hope you are both doing well. I have never been to SC. partly cuz I have been predisposed to think it is for the birds! I would like to visit the area in November as I don't do heat 🥵 n humidity well. The tour guide knew his stuff! He sounded like a northerner..😊
Just got done with Charleston. Nice city, but the traffic, especially at rush hour is horrid. Best part was the CV10 Yorktown and restaurants (Fish House) in that area.
If you ever go back, you have to take the ghost tours that go into or peek into the cemeteries. Talk about nightmares! The serial killer lady, Lavinia Fisher. Freaked me out for a few days.
Tara, blue is your color. Chad, you were awake. Edit : Sorry , Just trying to be cute. Tara : You looked great in your blue outfit !!!!!! Chad : You were there. P.S. : LOVE YOUR CHANNEL !!!!!!!!! Been here for 4 yrs. Keep up the fight, love following the battle. CHAD, RV WIZARD !!!!! YOU ROCK THE RV WORLD !!!!!!! Tara, keep it quiet. Don't let Chad know you are the cuter one.
Have you folks discovered the City market in Charleston ? If I waited and watched more, my question is answered,, it is an amazing place when it is full with all the vendors
We Love the Old South Carriage rides, Its the best. The building at the 14:03 mark in your video, has the Daughters of the Confederacy museum inside. It is a great place to vist if you like Civil War information. The plantations are also great to vist.
If you've watched our channel for a while, you might know that we've produced MANY videos about RV problems with our Grand Design RVs. In fact, we cover EVERY issue, and there are 22 videos of them organized in their own playlist here: changinglanesrv.com/ytpl-rv-problems Regarding the “frame flex” issue, we only make videos about our first-hand experiences, and we've never had a frame issue in either of our RVs. While it would get a TON of views, for us to make a video based on hearsay and speculation would be irresponsible and only feed the mob mentality of social media. We recommend you check out our friend JD's (@BigTruckBigRV) videos on the topic. He has a lot of great information on the subject: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=big+truck+big+rv+frame+flex
We lived Charleston! Did several of your suggestions. We didn’t take the DRW into town but parked at Patriots Point and took the ferry. Stayed at that KOA, highly recommend it - nice place to stay and not far from the ferry and alot of shopping
How do you guys feel about Grand Designs frame "flex" which is actually frame FAILURE! being brought to light? There's a lot of angry customers out there right now.

Thank you for leaving the caption block in the video up long enough to actually read it! So many don't. Charleston is on my bucket list.

We'll be in Charleston (and at the Mt. Pleasant KOA) in May. Happy to know you enjoyed your visit there!
Been to Charleston several times, we even left one vacation eqrly just to have time to stop in for a night there. One of my favorite places to visit!
We love Charleston! Will be there in April at James Island County Park! So much to see and do not to mention great restaurants!!
Enjoyed your tour of Charleston. The bird at 15:08 on your nature walk is an Anhinga. Safe journeys.
Great video and tour. All that eating has made me hungry. Safe travels to you all. Thanks again for the invite.
Love Charleston. 5 beaches within 30 minutes of downtown. Great historic area. Thank you for the tour. Well done!
At 15:12 the bird you questioned looks like a Comerant
I graduated from high school in South Carolina in '93 and haven't been back since, maybe it's time to visit again.
I am curious to know how you always seem to pick the perfect music for each video. I know this has to be complicated. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! 😊 That's all Tara! She spends a TON of time searching for the right music.
What is that Christmas song?
@@ChangingLanesso what websites offer music that can be played on RUclips . I guess I don’t really understand the whole royalty / non royalty thing
Beautiful video. Love Charleston Nice KOA! Thanks

Can’t believe those cabins sleep that many people. I like the caboose - “Does it lock from the outside.?” 😂😂
Great video ! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys. Great show. Great music

I thought you two would go to Savannah GA, for St. Patrick's Day.

Yes! We want to tour Michigan and the UP for sure!
We had the same problem with our Dually. Ended up parking at the visitor center.

Nicely done.
Thanks for the video.
Chad, when you were at the Market in Charleston did you get into the NineLine store?
Departure depression! Oh my gosh, that's what it's called LOL. I definitely get that. We are headed to South Carolina in a week. Looking forward to walking the streets you two just did.
One our favorite places t go and stay !!
Their license plates look like that shot at 11:22, does their flag look the same?
Very cool!

At that time of the year was there a lot of places closed for the winter ❄️? On my bucket list to visit. Thanks From Wisconsin
Winters in Charleston are pretty mild.. Maybe some pools closed here and there. I think the KOA pool was closed.
Have you folks discovered the City market in Charleston ? If I waited and watched more, my question is answered,, it is an amazing place when it is full with all the vendors
Fantastic!
I liked Charleston, but I was stationed at the Naval Weapons station in North Charleston. Snake infested swamp. Hated it.
Chad!!! Are those Oakleys Prescription?? They are Siq!!!
Thanks! Mine are not, but you can get most Oakleys in Rx. gear.changinglanesrv.com/?s=sunglasses&post_type=product&type_aws=true&aws_id=1&aws_filter=1
I cross stitched Rainbow Row on linen many years ago.
That sounds like a lot of work, but awesome!
Tootsie Rolls a brewin 😂🤣
Is 59 degrees normal for that time of year?
We Love the Old South Carriage rides, Its the best. The building at the 14:03 mark in your video, has the Daughters of the Confederacy museum inside. It is a great place to vist if you like Civil War information. The plantations are also great to vist.
Could we get an episode talking about frame flex?
There's already too many videos on it. So many talking about and haven't even experienced any issues.
Now it's a bunch of whiny people fear mongering.

Looks like a great place to e-bike. What do you think?
Definitely! 👍🏼
❤❤
Fantastic tour! Thanks for sharing your adventures! I love everything Christmas. Great job on the music, Tara! 💛
You need to be really careful around Charleston and Hilton Head lakes and canals for gators with daisy. They will chase you down.
Nice tour/Thanks for taking us along! That precious pup! 💗
Thank you for a great Tours video. Informative and enjoyable
We lived Charleston! Did several of your suggestions. We didn’t take the DRW into town but parked at Patriots Point and took the ferry.

Our last tour there, the horse farted the whole time.. 😂🤣
NEW VIDEO, Wife will be so happy lol
You guys walk to fast for little Dasie her little legs have to trot to keep up.
We let her keep the pace when we walk.. she does pretty good.
