What's been your experience having a dog in PA school?

I don't know if you made video(s) regarding what if someone is starting now in October rather than in January what timeframe or deadline should I look at? As an International Medical Graduate who is currently working as a clinical research coordinator in Dallas can you please clarify what should I prioritize? When looking at PA programs what are the main or important criteria one looks at? You mentioned that GRE should be done in a particular month and not before or after. Is there any particular reason it needs to be done in a particular month?

Could shadowing a PA be considered as a way to get PC hours?

I was accepted for a spring 2025 admission to my local university (in kinesiology). 2020 taught me that failure is not the end of the world. I’ve taken some courses recently but I decided I wanted to become the first PA-C of my family. GPA’s are not my strongest but I’m dedicated to doing the best I can to get into the program. I’m currently a medsurg CNA and have learned a lot within my job about surgery and post surgery work for the patients I see. This video and more is making me more confident each time I watch them!!

Is Quizlet okay ..? I feel all med students in whichever field use anki. Is it appropriate to use Quizlet instead?

Super helpful as I start in just a couple weeks! One question: did you adjust your settings on Anki? Specifically how many new cards you are shown in a deck per day? Mine is at the default of 20 right now which seems really low!

hi! i’m a PA-S1, just finished my first summer semester. i’m going into fall where ill be taking clin med, pharm, EKG, etc. i used anki in undergrad and to study for the PA-CAT and i SWEAR by it. i tried to use it in my summer semester for anatomy but i truly couldn’t find the time to make the cards AND then study them lol. i really REALLY wanna use it for didactic, but if i could barely make it work in summer, which is our lightest semester, then i have no idea how it’ll be possible in the subsequent ones. any tips for making this work? or do you know if there are any premade deck like there are for med students?? thanks so much!

What does it mean if a program has Probation F** next to it. Also how long can a program stay under that specific probation because it’s been a while and it’s still there.

Western U has now been allowed by ARC-PA to seat a class for the upcoming school year. This must mean that the reviews they had have been successful? They have another site review in March 2025. What do you think about this? 4:55

Hi, thanks for the video! I just graduated undergrad this month, and won’t apply until next cycle (so I’d be submitting in May 2025.) Can I ask undergrad professors for letters of rec now when I am fresh in their minds? If PA schools are reading letters of rec from a year or two ago, will they frown upon this? Thanks!

Hello, great video bro. I live in Upland, Ca and im becoming more and more interested in exploring the medical field. It might just be a mid-life crisis but nonetheless the desire is there. What would you say about the Radiation Science Bachelors Degree at Loma Linda University with an Associates degree in Health Sciences from Cal Baptist University? Obviously the Associates degree will come first.

Isn't it fact that a Bachelors Degree is needed to apply for a PA program?

Thank you for the excellent summary. Should I enter certifications that have expired that I do not use any more, such as PEPP, GEMS, ITLS, and PHTLS? I only listed my current active ones of BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

I’ve heard that classes are mandatory (unlike in some medical schools where you can skip and self study) can you talk about how you took advantage of that class time? Did you take notes? Make anki? Study anki? Or tried to just follow along and study after class?

I'm a bit confused about what I need to do. In 2023, I requested for my transcripts to be sent to CASPA. CASPA just opened 2 days ago, and I've taken more class since then. Do I just continue adding to the Transcript Entry section? Do I have to request for an updated transcript to be sent to CASPA? Also, I have a single class left to take online at a different institution. I don't take that until Fall 2024, how does that work if I want to apply now?
