Honestly the 2024 living expenses aren't much different than mine doubled (I'm solo) and considering 2023 was your first year doing this you didn't do much different than a lot of folks when starting out. There are a whole lot of things to buy in the beginning.

You don’t eat to much we live full time in our fifth wheel we spend the most on food fuel campgrounds we spend the summer on the coast of maine in a seasonal campsite in our home state and on the road 7.5 months through the winter

You said that you track your expenses using Trip Wizard? I tried to do that and it won’t let me put in my true cost. Someone at Trip Wizard told me it can’t be done after the trip is completed. You can only estimate your cost before the trip? Am I doing something wrong or what?

Love your channel. I like the idea of this lifestyle, and am looking at Toy Hauler Fifth Wheels. I would haul my motorcycle. Admittedly, probably won’t make the switch (my wonderful wife of almost 50 years isn’t on board😁). That said, how do you boondock? Are there boondock sites, or do you just pull into a field or ask permission with a landowner?

I would not give up my home and life to live in an RV knowing the struggles, but I have thought about If it came down to not being able to afford to live any other way I would make it work, But to travel yes it would be nice but to live 24/7 otherwise not.

We're a fulltime sailing family of 5 and just celebrated our 4th Christmas onboard. We've sailed thousands of miles, visited and lived in multiple countries. We love this nomadic lifestyle and if we return to shorelife we will be purchasing an RV. I find episodes like this interesting as it gives us insight to costs to see if RV life is possible for us. Both the boating world and RV world seem to be going through lots of changes .. vehicle age restrictions for rv park- marinas, boondock- anchorage limitations and regulations that make full timing on boat or RV more challenging Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

Being a full timer myself, I think nobody looks at this the right way. It's not how much it costs you to live full time in an RV. It's what the difference between living in an RV versus living in a home. This is a huge difference and far less expensive to live in an RV. The only way it is more expensive is if you compare it to dollars spent per square foot occupied. For most of use the freedom and mobility outweigh this. Thanks for the video guys.

Thanks for the honest expenses. This is to me is very much tied to your income, just like what sticks & brick home you have and how you spend. We are just part timers, but still work through similar issues. My wife is still a glamper when it comes to where to stay. Laundry prices can be crazy at the campsites. Why is it the higher price campsites charge the most for laundry? Thanks for the mail service heads up. We are retiring and will be RVing for much longer stretches of time so your tips and info are appreciated.

I'm so sorry for you 😮 and feel bad because we CANADIAN'S know that we are covered by our healthcare. ! Our borders!!! NO WAY, worries, concerning medical conditions. No cost! the pain and the recovery is our first thoughts. MY MOTHER FELL IN 1986 had her 2 heels smatched into bits they didn't 😊go bankrupt!!! This is why I'm mad 😡 since your elections and that manderine diaper TREATHNING US CANADA now!!! WE DIDN'T VOTE for that, for the worries you are going thru... deplorable a rich country like that not taking care of its population but Has a great ARMY ( the veteran's? ) We have dental care for the youngest, 10$/day daycare, pregnancy pay leave, prescriptions at afordable $, our social programs, reasonable minimum wage... and our education ! etc... 😢Yes, we pay taxes but we live happier less hopelessness, less guns even if some uninfortunatly crosses😮. Yes we do wait at ER but here at the Jewish hospital in Montréal I can see an eye specialist and whats needed during the night and all exams needed without a doubt not thinking about $$$$ . Yes there's some private clinic's but we chose. So when mandarine diaper misinforme by saying he will cut our taxes by 60% BULL SH.T. 😂 CAN YOU please KEEP HIM AND HIS PRESIDENT NOT ELECTED on your side of the border. We are a great country, Yes we need to trade but we can grow food produce in winter if necessary. RVing is our dream, but still in sticks & bricks at the moment...but I found your numbers were still very helpful in comparing our current lifestyle. I also tracked every single dollar for the first time in 2024, and it was humbling and somewhat of a chore. Seems like you aren't taking the "fun" comments too seriously. Love the 2023 video and actually can not believe how much RV life to Boat life is very similar! We Anchor for FREE 90% of the time but our maintenance bill certainly makes up for the cost of RV parks. We had to pay $12,700.00 for insurance in 2023 and about another 25-30K in maintenance. Fun fact, we are also from Sarasota! Keep it coming guys and congratulate on going full-time on YT Darlene!

Theres an app called "Fetch" that might help when doing your budget. Its an app whwre you scan all your receipts. For doing so, youre given "reward points" you can use. We usually just get amazon gift cards. However, itll let you go back and acrually look at past receipts and you can reak down exacrly where uour money went from say walmart, target, sam's, etc. So it rewards you plus you can physically look back at what you bought. I know its all done for marketing purposes so they can see what people are buying. But the government is already tracking absolutely everything & your phone is going to listen to what you "want" and youtube will show you a commercial the next day, anyway. But maybe the fetch app can help yall and others that might see this ❤

Great video guys - you rock! I think if people take a minute to consider what is in all your categories, especially the infamous "Food" category they'll realize you're not over the top at all. One note for you, regarding Amazon Prime, I decided a year ago to not renew Amazon Prime. Did you know that you can still get everything shipped for free by just having a minimum of $35 in your order? We just put things in our cart and when it hits $35 we place the order. There was only twice that this was an inconvenience all year long. Since we rarely watched any Prime Video and prefer RUclips Music we didn't really see the advantage at all. It's not a huge savings but every penny counts.

My wife has food allergies so we eat all organic and clean. It’s very expensive to do so but it’s for her health. With that said we spend much more on groceries. However we rarely go to restaurants.

Good for people to see the reality of many of the cost of full time RVing! I do wish more people would use the phrase Glamping and not camping . If you are pulling around a gigantic RV and parking it in a lot with electric. That’s not camping! Many people get confused with the differences . And it is a huge difference!

I don’t see any budgeting, only tracking. However, I thank you for the useful info, as all the different views on spending will help me tremendously to prepare for my permanent vacation in 2 years.
