This is not completely accurate. Yes, HR should protect the company but yes they also protect the employee. Some companies mismanage or misalign their HR people or depts. but that doesn’t mean that is how HR should be or what real HR. Although I can’f disagree that with some employers, HR isn’t really HR.

At 3:54, while I agree that HR can be shameful in its lies, it's also noteworthy that some HR offices (or at least some HR generalists) are just plain incompetent. I've seen HR offices lacking in basic knowledge of admin leave, payroll processing timelines, and other separation logistics. Heck, these HR folks would love to lie and wish they had enough process and legal knowledge to do so, but, alas, the best they can do is start to run with the ball and then take a tumble.

Yes, I also believe that if B-Roll is done well in the video then the video will look much better in watching and understanding. I had an interview with a company and we discussed my desired salary. In fact I told them that it was my current salary and I couldn’t make less than that. We ended it off at that, and soon I got a call that I was hired. I put in my two weeks. I had an exit interview with my current employer at the time. The company that hired me never sent me an offer letter. I started to panic a little… and three days before my start date they told me I they weren’t going to be able to pay me what I asked for. I’m devastated because not only am I making less, but I also am not getting a full 40 hours per week. 😭😭😭 This new place has put me in a financial emergency. I am using my savings to pay for food and rent. 😞 I had to take the job because I can’t be without work. I don’t know what to do.
Best way to avoid all this stupidity is to find a way to earn you own money and nor work for someone else.

Bottom line: if sales are decreasing, they're eyeing your salary as a way of recouping money. It doesn't matter if you're the most knowledgeable person on staff. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how much time and energy you put into doing your job and doing it well. If a boss loudly proclaims "everyone is replaceable", especially if they're saying it in a tone like they specifically want YOU to hear it, then that's your sign.
Best thing you can do is be savvy and catch your company in a retaliation scenario, and then sit on it. It’s ace that insures longer tenure, bet

Hi, I've been wondering if my employer is in the wrong. I work as a caterer in a franchise. I transferred to a new store and replaced someone who was working in that position without the title. My new coworkers were NOT happy. That person worked there for years without receiving a promotion. Now they're trying to cut my hours to give to the coworker I had replaced. She doesn't have the "title" but is receiving more hours than I am in my position. So I guess im wondering, is that legal? Can a corporation hire me for a certain department but give someone without the credentials more hours?

When your ex-employer does not conduct a proper investigation prior to making false accusations then they risk a chance of that happening. Put people who are deserving and worthy in leadership position who can lead and manage people not there to show who's boss. Some Singapore based data center (ST) need to take a good look at some of their leaders and managements.

We had an annual meeting where one of our supervisor stated that "I don't care about your family or personal life, just come here to work." He had some personal issue and the rest of us had to pick up the slack and our manager didn't like that I said I'm here for the department and paycheck, not the supervisor. Of course he didn't like it because they've been buddy-buddy for years.

My company requires a 2-week notice if you are on their profit-sharing or bonus program. If employees give a 2-week notice, then the departing employee is still eligible to receive the bonus for time already worked no matter how "angry" the employer is at you.
More signs: (1) Employer will hire your replacement (or a contractor) that you need to train.... or they'll move an existing employee to work with you on tasks you normally perform. They do this under the guise of giving you a helper that reports to you. (2) One of your co-workers accidentally becomes aware of your pending doom, and tells you about it (because they are more loyal to you than the management or HR team) (3) Your company is already laying off or firing other coworkers in bulk for "non-reasons". (4) Your company just merged or was bought by another company. (lay offs coming) (5) Your manager starts addressing you in more formal language (using the moniker Mr. and Mrs. + your last name). No more nick names used, no more joking around, or no more slang or potentially offensive words used. (6) They start asking you to create far more and extra detailed documentation of all of your tasks and responsibilities.

I’ve noticed how differently my boss and coworkers treat me. A while ago my boss told me to stop doing everything and she took most of my responsibilities away then gave them to herself and my coworkers. Today one of my coworkers just referred to my position as though I wasn’t there. The whole environment is like a shitty high school or trashy girls night out. My boss and coworkers all talk about gross s3xual things they want to do to fictional characters among other inappropriate topics. There’s a time and place for that and it’s not at work in front of customers. I have almost nothing to do during the day and no one speaks to me. I’ve decided to use the time to build myself up and move on. I’m jumping ship while I can.
