First off you never send your complaint to HR! skip the whole authority game and go all the way to the top...corporate headquarters! you send the complainant via US mail.

Hi! I’m going to follow up. I received a wrong 1099 and was furious as I was never paid. I called corporate and unbelievable that I spoke to a woman who listened. She forwarded my story to the SIU department and a corporate dept… I’m curious if I’ll hear, she said SIU absolutely will contact me…..

I'm starting a claim now because in nyc they have manual labor law which dishwashers are supposed to pay me weekly. Before I told them it was law I asked them is it possible to get paid weekly and they refused with a iron fist .then when I showed them it's law my boss pulled me outside and tried to give me advances and told me not to tell any of my coworkers.and the kitchen manager said it's because the boss partner don't have all his paperwork to actually be here so they tried to shut me up ..but got me pissed because they want to enforce there rules everyday.but won't follow the law

This video ignores the fact that even if you have a legit case, you need to have money to hire a lawyer, which most people don't have, since a lawyer cost $600 per hour. The very reason why employers do what they do is because they know you don't have the resources to fight back.

I am doing the same. I heard the phrase “emotional vindication” used about people who file lawsuits against their former employer, and that is exactly what I want! A settlement for the stress, lost wages, damage to my reputation etc is great, but I want to be emotionally vindicated! Wish you luck with your case! Go for it! People sue for way less then that!

I just got stiffed and I don’t know what to do. The owner said that he’s broke and that he doesn’t have the money to pay me. I worked for 12 weeks on salary at $1,500/week. He only paid me for 6 weeks. They also have an escrow account that they take 100/week from me for the first 15 weeks to total $1,500. This money is to be returned to the driver after 365 days unless the driver leaves the company early. I haven’t been paid in 22 days, and they are already late on paychecks. I paid $400 towards the escrow account and owe $1,100 towards it. So, they owe me $9,000-$1,100=$7,900 What do I do now? He says he is broke and cannot pay me.

Idk but I was terminated because of a coworker that called me the N word, before my first break. I confronted the coworker and told management about the incident. After my break, the manager literally shoved me out of the workplace and put me under investigation, then they terminated me... They never took my written statement at the time, and banned me from entering the workplace while I was under investigation and I'm still banned to this day.
(all while this coworker and her witness were in the same room writing statements together, because they are friends)
A lawyer said that he's taking my case, but I haven't heard anything back from him, after submitting my evidence. It's been about 2 months since they took the case, my question: is that normal to wait in silence as the lawyer does his work?
I've never felt this low from a job loss, and I feel kinda lost and let down by everything because I feel like they'll walk away from this scot-free.

I have 26 years at my company I just turned eligible to retire.. we had a new boss that started was only there about 4 months and I had to write them up to my union for verbally abusing me on a job for no reason at all.. basically he didn't like that we have procedures... We went to the meeting and he apologized said he wouldn't do it again, I should thank you that's all I wanted, and I shook his hand. Not even 2 months later he wrote me up on a bogus live trying to say I was insubordinate trying to give me three weeks off.. I even have a witness saying I was right and for some reason the company's corporate lawyer , who is also knew like the rest of management they're trying to give me three weeks without even let me grieve it and I have a union. The union tells me they don't have an attorney on the books.. I said then I can get one and you can pay for it.. but they're telling me no...

About 3-4 years ago i had an employer that didnt pay me any of my hourly pay the only thing i would recieve while I was there was tips that we would get throughtout the night, I had a talk with the boss multiple times which lead to him cursing me out over the phone and telling me that if i ever come back to the workplace I would be arrested for trepassing. My question is would I still be able to bring this to court or is it too late to bring that into court? honestly I was young and didnt want to get arrested so I left the company alone.

The office staff started treating me different trying to change all the rules only when it came to me. Rumors were spread to new workers. I reported this to eeoc and they didnt seem to see a problem but gave me a right to sue. I was laughed at and comments would be made whenever i walked throughout the halls. HR and EEOC in the company are worse than useless. Everything these days is pro employer. Especially here in South Carolina. South Carolina has an at will law that allows employers to fire employees with no advance warning or any reason. It also allows employees to quit anytime but even so if that was to happen the employers will retaliate by claiming that the employee walked off the job and take away some of their wages.

Im experience unfair treatment at workplace right now.
It started with a guy at work claiming that I had sex with him and a 15-year-old boy (a threesome). The rumors spread beyond the workplace. It’s not true; I have never had sex with anyone who works here, and it could get me into trouble for saying that a 15-year-old boy is involved. I don’t know who started the rumors, so I contacted HR. I found out that several guys were involved in the rumors, including one who is our supervisor's favorite. He is upset with me for bringing the issue to HR, especially since he had asked for a transfer, but the supervisor didn’t want him to leave. The next thing I knew, the supervisor transferred me to a different area. I was shocked; it was unexpected because no one had spoken to me about the transfer beforehand. I believe what they are doing to me is retaliation involving sexual conduct, favoritism, and discrimination. All of these are addressed in the Core employee handbook. I tried to talk to the supervisor about it, but he is ignoring me. I'm wondering what I can do to solve this problem, and all I want is to go back to my original position. Or should I sue them for the money?

Unclear on an issue regarding meal breaks for non-exempt. If an employer causes you to miss your 5-hour cutoff time from start work time for meal break, when you DO get your meal break even if 15 minutes late, are they required to pay you for that normally unpaid 30 minute meal break?

None of this matters because in order to have a successful case you need to have witnesses and you will never have that because the manager always called you to their office to isolate you so no one can be a witness to the bad behavior and even when there are witnesses other coworkers don't want to get involved.
