A meeting with the Radiologist and a nice weekend with the family.
Thank you for watching this video, I’ve been making these videos as a vlog sharing my journey through Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
My world literally fell apart on Sept 15th 2021 when I was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer which according to my Oncologist is incurable (although ive never accepted that) Questions such as how long have I got left how bad is it , in fact, a whole host of frightening thoughts, where sudennly swarming around my mind and exploding at opportune moments when I felt most vulnerable.
If i were to be honest, I was lost and lonely to begin with. People don’t know how to deal with someone who has stage four cancer. It’s a taboo subject. I honestly didn’t ...

This gives me a chance to help perhaps stop a few more from getting advanced Prostate Cancer. Knowledge is key. So many people are ignorant of this cancer including me before I was...

All that radiotherapy is damaging your body PLUS giving you cancer! My PSA is 1015 I'm dying of prostate cancer BUT id rather have quality of life than ruining my body totally and when death does come I die in agony! There is ALWAYS side effects to any medical procedure! I've got about One year of life in me BUT I've always had FAITH!

Woodman. Loved to see this video. Great that you are having less side effects (hot flashes suck) and so happy that you are not letting cancer take over your life. Sure, its a big part of our lives, but there is so much more to life than cancer. Go out and live your life now. Rob in Phoenix.

Good to hear from you. I am with you on the worrying- just try to not let it take over. I just take every day as it comes and enjoy it. A reta Xmas with the family coming up- can’t wait. On the night sweats - good to hear that yours are on the wane. My guy says that acupuncture can help - so will give that a go in the new year. On the exercise - I am in the position that I don’t have any pain so I really have gotten into bike riding. I was out in the storm getting blown about on the bike at the weekend. Will get to work on it today- I rarely use the car at all now. I really believe that it is doing me as much good as the pills. Have a good Xmas - and keep the videos coming it really helps to know that there are others out there in the same boat!

0:02 Hi Woody, great to hear from you again. I'm stage 4 PC as well. I've started Interval Walking. This is where you walk normally for 3 minutes, then switch to taking your longest strides and doing them as fast as you can for 3 minutes. You do these pairs 5 times, so only 30 minutes in total. Studies have shown that it is better than doing 10k steps every day. I use a free Android app called Interval Timer to keep me right for the timings. I like to listen to audiobooks from my local UK library while walking and these work perfectly alongside Interval Timer. Just an idea that might help, it certainly has for me. Keep up the good work chum.

Thank you Woody for sharing your story and journey through your various treatments and experiences ! I have just been diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer. PSA 16.67 , MRI scan with Pi-rads level 5 lesion on my prostate , biopsies with Gleason score 5+4=9 & CT & PET scans that showed the cancer has metastasised to my lymph nodes , chest bone & my right upper arm ( all I must say at the moment have no noticeable symptoms ) so they have started on a course of treatment , firstly the hormone therapy with Bicalutamide for a month , with an injection into my stomach after two weeks , then every 3 months . Then radiology & possibly chemotherapy . For me it helps to get as much information as possible & especially from people who are actually living through & experiencing the symptoms and side effects . I only started the tablets on Friday so nothing has kicked in as yet . But I’m sure it will ! No doubt it’s just the start of a long journey. So once again thank you for sharing your experiences & I sincerely wish you a continuing betterment with your treatment & may it extend your life for many years to come 👍❤️

Indeed Woody, we need to get the message out, myself and my three older brothers are on BBC radio Lancashire next week, don't know whether it's live or recorded. I have learned that PC is a very individual thing, myself and my three older brothers all have PC and all of us are on different treatments with different outlooks on life, it's a little weird and surreal to be honest. I think we can all agree here that we all wish we could have had our PSA tests done a year or two earlier than we did, isn't hindsight a wonderful thing. Woody, you should be very proud of yourself, I'm sure you have helped more people than you will ever know, keep it up mate and continue with the great content.

Great work Woody need as much information out there to inform and educate all the men about getting their PSA checked with a simple blood test, it could just save their lives. I am 3 years down the road of Prostate cancer treatment an aggressive gleason 8 4 + 4, psa 7.0 had 18 months of ADT hormone treatment 20 radiotherapy sessions PSA Nadir of 0.01 5 months after the last radiotherapy session now on 6 monthly psa blood tests. PSA now 0.48 now my testoserone has recovered to 20 from 0.35. Come on men get to the doctors as soon as your 50 years old and request a PSA test, need to drop that age down to 40 years old really, Sir Chris Hoy can concur with that having discovered he has stage 4 Prostate cancer at the age of 48. Keep up all your good work Woody.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I've been on Enzultamide for three years the side effects were quite harsh similar to what you are experiencing, but mine have definitely decreased over time. I'm able to work full time and the only real side effects apart from the physical stuff is the hot flashes and they have got better. I hope you make the right choice Maybe ask to change the drug. I also was on monthly degaralix injections which really gave me issues , then I switched to three monthly Zoladex injections and had no issues at all. Good luck with what ever you decide to do 🙏❤️
