Woody it’s good that you exercise and hope the rest of your second series of radiation is successful.

I don’t have cancer but I’ve had insulin-dependent diabetes for nearly 50 years and, like you, I’m grateful just to be alive, for the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature and to revel in the company of my children. Your videos are a wonderful reminder of that. Thank you, Woody.

I enjoy your videos. It’s comforting to have your personal insight about your health and your life. I’m in a similar situation and I appreciate you sharing. Thanks from Mississippi

Woody, I'm in the same situation as you, but a little bit further along in the treatment. I've finished my 20 sessions of RT, they were a breeze, the biggest potential problem was getting to the centre on time. I was worried about getting the bladder & bowel prep wrong or coughing in the machine etc. None of these things happened and the whole treatment turned out to be relaxing in a way.
No side effects afterwards either. PSA now undetectable, although mine had also spread onto my pelvis. Go for it in good humour, my way too.

That's a great positive post, I feel no anxiety towards this I just need to get it done as my pain levels are going up and I'm feeling very tired all the time 🙏❤️

Good luck with the radiotherapy. You're starting just as I finish. Mine's to a lymph node of PC in my chest. I love the way you (twice) nearly sign off and then say the golden stuff.

Hi Woody you've got this and your mindset is good...I now only have 7 sessions of radio left but now the side effects for me are showing thru, bladder control is poor at the moment and today the bowels have joined the que I am now very cautious where i drive and and limit what I eat before the journey. I keep a plastic urine bottle in my car (Amazon you get 2) and saved me many times when out :0) as for the bowels Ive not got an answer for that one Woody ? I will own up today (Sunday) me and my wife went a drive out on my way back the impending bowel feeling came from nowhere...I managed to get home to the toilet door but alas just wasn't fast enough...but I will admit my medical team said this could happen....and thankfully my wife is a nurse so she was a star....Chin up Woody we doing good...

Unfortunately I still get urgent need to urinate about every 3 hours but I am still alive.

Woody thanks for the video. Good luck with the radio. I had some 6 months ago and it didn’t affect me much at all. There seems to be a lot of different schemes out there (they call them fractions). Mine was ultra hyper fractionation which was 6 sessions one per week. Some were having 28 sessions, some 15 ish I think. I never got a good explanation of why the differences but for me fewer sessions at a higher dose seemed like a good idea.

Yes I agree mine is a high dose once a week but when I was first diagnosed I had radiotherapy almost immediately every day for 8 days there was no pre planning I think it was an emergency and needed to be done as soon as possible

Charity shops are fun for teens. Usually see older folks like me and teens. Shopping in bulk, and having a simple life. Family will be fine. Hard as the bread winner to get past the money worries, but trust me, it will be ok Woody.

My wife found 6 silky scarves for £12 absolute bargain.
Ironically my wife is called Charity too😀

Lying on the treatment bed can be uncomfortable. Treatment sessions only last 10mins tops. Once you are in the original position stay still until session is done. You will be fine. Good luck.
