I just concentrated my mind on beach vacations when I was a teen-the smell of suntan lotion, the sound of squawking gulls and transistor radios, the haze over distant ocean, the hard sand under the beach towel and drowsing under the heat of the sun. Thanks for prompting those great memories, Woody, and good luck at your last round. Visualize the radiation melting the tumors away.

Best wishes for your last round woody, my husband starts his first treatment on monday, they have managed to keep all his treatments at the same time every day. Fingers crossed he feels ok afterwards, and doesn't have side effects x

Hi Woody. Hope the last session went well. You are so right about the power of the mind in helping all of us get through our cancer challenges. When I had my 29 radiation therapy sessions the machine was newly-installed and my cancer centre had also installed above it a beautiful illuminated ceiling montage of Canada geese in flight. I was only in the machine about 10 minutes at a time but it was always stressful to lie alone on a table while the machine did its work and think about how I landed myself in that predicament. I felt it very calming to focus on the photo and think about flocks of geese taking off from the lakes near where I live. Heart rate declined. Breathing was easier. The mind is as powerful as many drugs.

Hi Reid, the last session was the best for some reason, I think it may well be due to my mind and my thoughts making it easier.
The mind is a very powerful tool for us.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It helps me. I have my first radiation therapy for prostate next month. You're right. Life is all about attitude. We can adopt a good one or a bad one. Cheers. 🍺

Hope it went well Woody. I can't help but think of my 32 times on the radiation table. 12 yrs ago they just had leg molds. This time (5 sessions) they extended the leg molds into hip molds as well. They would shift me about in the mold, until my tattoos lined up. It wasn't up to me to hold my position. They told me just relax, we will do the work. If you feel like it down the road, you might want to petition the hospital to have a mold technician. It takes the stress off of the patient when having radiation therapy. As always, best of luck, Carl

Imagination is incredibly powerful I love that our brain can't tell the difference between what we make up and what is real. Just having that knowledge is a superpower you can use in the fight against cancer.🙏❤️

Hi Woody, thank you for the videos, fellow traveller here. ADT will bring the numbers down in preparation for the radio therapy, but it's not considered curative as mono therapy. Radiation is though

I know exactly how that feels. Knowing it hasn't worked and that you have to get re-aligned again is pretty tough to get through. It's all about keeping it as positive as possible and instead of getting angry which is totally understandable trying to see the whole process as trying to help you. Good luck 🙏❤️

@@Livingwith-prostatecancer I recently came across this video and feel compelled to share some encouraging information that should bring a sense of optimism. Call it an act of kindness or simply meddling on my part-it's up to you. However, it disturbs me to see people suffer from life threatening health conditions.
Although my following statements may seem bizarre, you must understand that it needs to be this way to reach you. Some things are just too difficult to say here (if you know what I mean), so please write down the capital letters from the following paragraph in the order you encounter them. Then, study and divide them into individual words to form a coherent thought. Understand? Okay, here it goes:
Frogs Often Leap Lightly Over Water. WILLIAM has More Adventures by Keeping In Shape. Ostriches occasionally Need X-rays. Fish Often Rest Comfortably while Ants Navigate Complex Environments Rapidly. Cats Understand Rules Easily Sometimes.
Some people find it hard to decode so I will translate part of the message but cannot completely translate. I hope you understand.
      Follow William _____ on _ for ______ _____.
      many blessings. 👍
