Harley Davidson is to long on tank it was inside the flame. you do very good work I'm not knocking your work. but for being one of 200 hundred I would never do that to a customer. I painted for 44 year's in automotive many motorcycle cars and transport trucks. I also paint on canvas. I am just way to fussy.

Can you explain more how shooting base clear first helps? Wouldn't it just add another layer of build up making edges thicker?

I’m going to do a double black stripe so with bright orange being my base coat would I need to shoot a light grey color over the black after I have the stripes taped so it won’t interfere with the orange.

Great video. Do you use a certain black basecoat? Or just a generic black like Ford ebony?

Loving the videos and just subscribed because this is the best instruction out there without all the hype they do. Wow man you get that flake to lay smooth, I'm using a 1.7m nozzle and the flake just gets blocked all the time, it was a 0.06mm silver flake in binder and if i get it going on the panels it just sicks up too much after the clear coat which was 3 coats of clear to bury the flake.

Hey question for you sir. I painted my panhead chopper tangerine orange anf it turned out pretty sweet for a self taught 2 yr rookie i think. I have a problem a month after painting it. Gas fumes got under my paint. Bike sat in the sun at work for 6 hrs. I got off work and my coffin tank top three sections where like a hot air balloon!! Is there a way to salvage paint once it lifts or do i gotta accept i gotta sand down and do it all over again?

I’m not a painter or detailer but after 3 tries I finally got a beautiful paint job with clear coat and wet sanded everything now all I need to do is buff it out but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up, I have an air operated buffer from a friend of mine that used to do this type of work, how much pressure do you use ? I’ve watched a lot of videos but still nervous

I have a question, is there a possibility to blend a solid color into a metallic? I want to do a solid white blended into a metallic pink

I am painting my aluminum boat and I’m trying to put metal flake and of course polyurethane. What brands and types would you recommend?

I’m giving very serious consideration to trying this on a couple of toolboxes in my shop. But with a dark emerald green and maybe a metal flake black.
