    good video pal, always good to clear before flames etc to lock the colour , we do that on anything other than straight colours black etc.

      @TAZattitude  2 года назад

      Yep, good tip. I'll even clear black if I know it may sit for a bit before I do flames. I do 10-15 jobs a week, so I can't always stay on one job

      @@TAZattitude something else we do is use clear base sometimes, 2 coats to lock it in if we have to leave it, just red scotch it prior to more paint etc. something I picked up and saves on clear coat.

      @@maskmonkeycustompaint Good tip. Sounds like that would work to. Base clear instead of topcoat clear. Definitely would dry quicker to

    Where do you get the HD Bar & Shield stencil to paint the Logo on the Kandy Flame paint job? Your work and videos are Fantastic! Thank You

      Thank you Lynn. You'll need to get with someone that can make stencils. Or purchase a plotter.

    What was that liquid you put on the sanded parts at the beginning of the video to imulate the clear coat?

    • @TAZattitude

      That was just a pre-paint cleaner. I just use SX330 (One Choice). A basic pre-paint cleaner. I use it all the time on matching colors and such

    Hey question for ya. What kind of candy do you use. Concentrate? Urethane? Im kinda confused as to the difference as seeing detail work thru the different types of candy.

      I use all of House of Kolor candies. If I do overalls, I pretty much use the UK. If I'm spotting stuff, I use the KK. The UK stays wet, and the KK is more of a basecoat, once you mix with an interclear. So the KK really is a little easier to work with. Hope that helps.

    How do you get a smooth finish without bumps edges or ridges from tape lines and masking?

    • @TAZattitude
      @TAZattitude  2 года назад

      If you are talking about smooth edges on graphics, I think the 3 main causes to rough edges are having too much paint build up, using masking tape instead of fineline, and the way you pull the tape off. You want to pull the tape so it cuts the edge laying on top of the tape.
