Another great video thanks
Thanks and I enjoy your videos.👊🏻🇺🇸
Can you guys test some a frames?
This is the exact reason I will never hunt big game with a Berger
You guys deserve more views
I'm thinking of getting exactly the same combo and felt weird that the scope is twice the price of the gun but that scope just made sense. I'm glad someone else has the same combo now 😆👍
Thanks for this testing and review.
Love the data presentation, and the vibe of the video.
I just bought a T3x Tikka 22-250 and wood stock..I love it 😀 It's a tack kicker..
Gracias
I saw a video a guy in Canada shot a 165 grain speer boat tail at 25 yards and went through 5 milk jugs and made a dent in the sixth with a 308 win, those bullets are hot cor made now thet hold together. My fathere in law sjot an elk right there by thos wind towers where you guys film, I have hunted there my whole life my whole family has as well, can you guys do a 180 grain speer boat tail out of 30-06 ballistics test you might be surprised.
Is the lead/tin argument true? My understanding is they basically solder the lead to the copper. Solder filler for soldering copper pipe or copper electronic connections involve a lead/tin alloy typically. a 60/40 lead/tin being very common for example. This would make the lead a little "stiffer" than pure lead.
I kinda like the 150 grain ballistic tip
That's awesome....I love my old Remington 30-06 it's great for everything....
OG /06
Highly recommend the Timney 110 trigger, but I don’t know. If I’d put it on a hunting rifle. Just for reliability reasons. It’s pretty finicky to get it functioning properly
Awesome data, thanks for your efforts! This is my long range load for my 270 WSM!
Good content. Sierra p/h around 2800fps. 4064 50 to 51 grains. My pet when seated to optimal bullet jump around 20thou. Also, this guy has a good voice for this kind of stuff.
Jesus Christ hornady bullets have gone to shit imo across the board minus the a max
great video...wonder if the tumbling at 500yd might be from the longer bullet and the slow twist of the 300wm barrel... It still is a dead animal...and truthfully 90% of people cant or SHOULDNT be shooting over 400 yds anyhow at live animals. LOL Good information indeed.
Fantastic, thank you for making this video. Can't wait to see what my 250 grain GS do on a black bear this fall
Barnes told me these LRX expands down to 1600 fps. That's almost 900 yards! You guys should test that for real. Maybe load it down to 1600 fps to shoot a gel block. Range Velocity 0 3173 100 2960 200 2757 300 2564 400 2378 500 2200 600 2029 700 1867 800 1714 900 1571 1000 1439
300 wsm 190gr ELDX.. 75 yds into moose..absolutely disintegrated..8" penetration
Can’t go wrong with any Nosler ammo. Good stuff. Great video buddy 🇺🇸🦌
50k, you ran a 50k? Good for you, impressive!
RIP Interbond 🫡
Dude... I am glad that you pointed out the optic system being garbage and how the whole rifle is a hit and miss when it comes to quality. Mine has been giving me a hard time for 2.5 season, until I upgraded the optics. I am going to work on the trigger like you show here since it feels too heavy to pull and any cause a soft movement of the rifle especially for a longer distances shots. Thanks a lot for your video. See the bucks I killed with it this season ruclips.net/user/shortsWRV5dh13rUU?feature=share
My 300 Weatherby Nosler factory 180 grain Etips show 3050 muzzle velocity on the box. A five shot group from my 300 Wby Mk V with 25+/- in bbl have the following velocities 3027 3042 3048 3051 3045. 4 out of 5 very consistent. 5 shot avg 3043 ES 24 SD 9.3 I have several 180 and 182 grain Etips and want to do a ladder test. 3050 fps should be around 82.0 grains of IMR 7828. Nosler Load Data shows a range of 80.5 to 84.5 grains of IMR 7828. I run 180 grain Accubonds and Partitions at 84.5 grains with good accuracy and no pressure issues. Just wondering how hard you think I could push the Etips in the 300 Wby before experiencing pressure issues. My 300 Wby rifles are factory chambered with Weatherby freebore. Thanks for your work with this bullet. Very impressive. Dean
My 300 Weatherby's chamber has a fair amount of freebore. I would still be very cautious about loads. Start at the lowest charge and go from there. Nosler states that point adamantly. Don't compare a 180 grains partition to these. The partition has less bearing surface and compresses much more in the lands and grooves. Monolythic bullets are much harder. BTW, There is no 182 grains ETip or any 182 grains bullets of any type in the 30 caliber Nosler line up.
No 190 ABLR is criminal
Would love to see a 190ablr expansion test
Hornady American Whitetail in 129 grain, seems to be the best cup n core, factory loadings, that shoot well in my Savage Axis, 6.5 creed. Its a bit ammo selective. My second choice out of my gun is a Sig Sauer loading in 129 grain (also a soft point). As I agree that 6.5 is best for Deer sized game, and smaller, I have not experimented with Accubond's or Terminal Acents. Good video.
I took a doe this year with a 139g CX out of a 7mm-08 using a Max Varget charge, she was only 20 yards facing head on. My shot entered the left chest, the bullet traveled just inside the ribs breaking 5, deflected right at the rear of the body cavity and I found the bullet imbedded in the hide just under the skin on the right upper thigh. I weighed the bullet in at 139.5g it has picked up .5g of tallow in the perfectly formed rose paddles of copper. The real results were very impressive.
I would love to see you guys test the Sako ammo, the super hammerhead shoots nicely from my 30-06, would like to try the power head blades. Guntubers don't seem to test the Sako ammo
What powder are you using, the most i saw from the 130 was just under 3100 from a tikka sl
Not tryed the 130 ttsx but had great results with the 150
Thanks for this very informative video. I missed it. Did you share your load data?
Is there a way to make this load fit properly?? Love these results inside 300 and would love to find a way to get some of these loaded up.
The goat bullet imo
165 gr sierra game king. 180 gr nosler partition or ballistic tip
140 grain Winchester ballistic silvertip
Barnes makes a 70 gr TSX both in reloading projectiles and factory loaded ammo.
Top notch video. Good visuals and you speak really well. Subscribed
Clean your barrel or shoot your monos last..for some reason shooting gilding metal behind copper bullets get poor accuracy
Looks like it performs like the Lehigh Defense Tipped Xtreme Chaos.
I’ve owned traded sold many many savages. Every damn one was a shooter. Even my old old 99 in 300 Savage. Many deer fell to that dude lol
I use 140 gr VLD H in my 280 rem. 168gr VLD H in my 7mm mag. Just bought a new 280AI rifle. Also bought several boxes of Berger 7mm 150gr and 168gr Classic Hunter bullets to try. I have a new 300 wby too. Planning on trying Berger 185 gr Classic Hunter. And 205 gr Elite Hunter in it.
How does the 130 grain ttsx perform at 50 yards?
Great shooting, and break down on the design and performance of the ABLR bullets. I’ve used this bullet the last several years, and I’ve had excellent results with them out of my 6.8 Western. I’ve taken three large bulls with these at ranges of 574, 588, and 656 yards. All three were 1 shot kills. 1 dropped where he stood, the other two, maybe went 20-25 yards before they dropped. I can’t say enough about these ABLR’s. At close range, yes, it sheds its weight rapidly, but the damage is already done. I’ve taken two bucks around the 90-130 yards, and they folded on impact. Point is, these LR’s perform at close range just as well. Excellent video!!
So coming late to the show, but wondering if you did the same test of expansion with the TSX. I am preferring to go go without the tip but wondering what your results are if tested. Also in WA and chasing the blacktails
140 Berger elites
Nice video! I would like to see the results of .308 Win with Nosler 150gr Accubond..Thanks
