Walnut/Maple/Purple Heart Cutting Board
Great stuff. Love that black one.
Thanks, such solid builds. Out of all builders on YT I’d put you at the top for quality. And your scales always look so amazing, I’m afraid I’m gonna have to attempt to borrow a little from your technique there, its just too irresistible. Again thanks!
@@robertelovsson8344 go for it! Or else i wouldn't put it on video. I'd love to see how it turns out for you.
Hey, I love your work. It looks good. I’m not trying to steal anything from you, but I do a little decoy Carvan on the side and I wanna make a fishing lure, but I’m struggling to find the correct thickness and strength of the bills. I was wondering if you could help me out where do you buy your polycarbonate?
@endofthelinefishingcharters thank you! I buy my polycarbonate from my local custom glass store. Companies that make custom windows and doors, shower walls, etc. usually carry polycarbonate. It's much more expensive if you have them cut it - In fact with their cut fee, it's more expensive for me to buy a half sheet. so I buy full 4'x8' sheets and break them down myself. If you're only looking to make one or two lures they may even give you some scrap peices if they have any.
Thank unfortunately, I don’t have anyone in the area that makes glass and doors so I went down to the Lowe’s and Home Depot looking for polycarbonate sheets however I can only find them flexible and too thin. I found acrylic sheets, but they are too thick.
Thank you for your help great video I was able get a few ideas from your video I have uploaded a video show the lures. I will be uploading a video with the painting soon thank you again appreciate you!!
In what kind of fluid did you seal the blank?
Mini!!
Ya know if your fishing for great whites the lures should look like seals lol! Those baits are huge!

Do you thin your epoxy? Or is West Systems just naturally that thin? Great work as always!
@rockthemarshall i never thin epoxy. You lose all of its strength when you thin it. I only use West Systems to fill through-wire channels and its a fairly low viscosity epoxy. Much thinner than ClearCast which I use for topcoat
@ thank you for that knowledge. For topcoat do you mean Alumilite, or 7050?
Good job on those lures
If you're really wanna keep adjusting those lips to change the action, then you better use steel or stainless steel for that lip material because aluminum will break after several times bending. No criticism, just for info. Great action on that bait tho, think I am gonna try to make one.
@rickwardenaar2639 that's a good idea. Fortunately this thing ran great right away but I would be curious to adjust the lip and bunch of times to see what it can do. Maybe I'll make another one with steel so I can play around with it
To much pain(t) is never the solution. Lees is often much more. Great bait👍
Great as always 👊👌
Super, subscribe
Nice work 🔥 pine?

Great video!
Welcome back!! Love the videos
What pen do you use to sign your baits?

Wow, fantastic
Purely inspirational! Thanks for another one!
liked and subscribed! :) merry x mas
Your videos taught me the basics of musky lure building Its nice to see a new video. I always have to ballast my baits to get them to run correctly Were you able to get that action without any ballasting?
Beautiful work! Keep em coming!
Spectacular, Mike! Thanks!
When Fretthold uploads, you drop whatever the F you're doing😂 love the video buddy! Those baits look soooo sick!
what an artist work! nice big one too! what is the weight approximately? keep up the beautiful work!

@ beautiful! Thank you!
what brand of Gold paint are you useing?
Golden Acrylics high flow
Nice video and baits, what is that for tape you using for the stencils ? Merry Christmas from Sweden

Great work, nice lures. Thank you for the film!
Amazing work nice to see more of your art !! I was wondering how many coat of resin you put on them :)?
@jhosekai thank you. 2 coats before paint and only two topcoats. It's not uncommon for people to use 5+ coats but I don't really like thick epoxy.
please tell me the name of the resin you are using
I guess you guys are trying to keep the wire you use a secret. I've googled and googled, youtubed, and read and I can't find anything that will just say what kind of wire other than stainless. I mean , no kidding?! Stainless steel, who would have thought. I swear one day I'll start making actual tutorials just so I can help people who can only find videos pretending to be tutorials.
@VadidElab lol dude stfu I've posted a lot about the wire I use.
If you would've just asked I would've told you but you can go kick rocks.
Wow awesome
Freaking awesome buddy!!
Could you use shit 44 mag cases or something to save some time? I really love that silver perch and the gold pattern
@TheClayCoKid yeah that's a good idea. Probably a lot lighter than copper pipe
I figured I could use a 9mm and 10mm cases, and if 9 can fit in 10, just put a steel ball inside and push them together, tho I'd imagine 10mm is a little pricy and they can be hard to find. Also not quite sure what kind of sound steel ball would make hitting brass...
Great new video! Your lures look awesome!
what airbrush do you use
@@Slarson63 Iwata HP-CS
Beautiful
Wow, those are loud rattles. The copper pipe is an excellent idea. I have ideas for my own muskie lures to build, but I don't have the tools and can't afford to buy them. But you inspire me anyhow. Can I ask you to paint a lure in a natural whitefish/cisco/tullibee pattern, mostly white with silver pearl flash? Here in Minnesota and N.W. Ontario, these are a primary forage species. They spawn in the fall, and I think trolling one of your crankbaits would be a great way to put a giant in the net.
An idea, make a jointed version and put a second smaller rattle chamber in the tail. This would give the lure two different rattle sounds, plus the joint noise.
Beautiful looking lures, would you say where the scales came from?
@striperhunter-ic2wt both of the meshes i used i just googled "mesh netting" and bought a yard from different places. I've bought so many i couldnt tell you which specific retailer these were from. One of my most common meshes i use is lingerie mesh laundry bags from Walmart
Really great lures. Thank you for the video. Those rattle chambers are awesome and the paint looks beautiful like always.
Enjoyed the builds. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Don't be a stranger...
Very nice work. I do it too, I get good ideas from you.
The Purple Heart wasn’t end grain right? Side grain, right?
You can see the mistake... Only cause you pointed it out ... Excellent work .. inspirational
Nice work! What body of water are your musky lures being used on. I am on the St. Lawrence
The mesh netting I've been using seems to be a bit thinner material, and doesn't allow for the shadowing effect you get when you point the brush angled toward the front or back of the bait, to do scales. Also mine is more plastic like where yours is flexible, like it may be a more cotton material. Are you using a specific mesh screen product for painting or is it just something from the local fabric store? Amazing videos by the way!
May i ask what you sealed your baits with. ..what is in the Pepsi bottle? Regards, Kjell.... Sweden
From watching other of his videos, I believe he uses Minn Wax polyurethane to seal the wood. Regards: Paul, 1/2 Swede, 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 German, Minnesota U.S.😊😂 I'm being silly

How long do you wait to pull off the mesh when painting scales? Great Job Sir
I am getting into Muskie fishing but live in Alabama, so I'm at 1 trip up to NW Ontario a year. Anyway, I have built several inline spinners but now want to try making wooden baits, and you and these vids are very inspiring. Good work sir. Look forward to binge watching more.
Wow! You’ve inspired me to give it a shot!
