- I was given a bunch of old oak flooring and I decided to make a pedestal table for my church with their logo inlaid with epoxy. It turned out better than I hoped! Thanks for watching!

Great project. I love glue by the gallon. Most folks underestimate how much glue they will need for a project like this. I love the larger router base you made. I'm sure it adds to the stability when routing those chamfers.
that was awesome - really really nice work.
Looks great. Old school gota love it!
Bro that is absolutely beautiful!
WOW! You are so talented!! It's Beautiful:)
This is awesome! Nice work!
Austin McCleery thank you!

And heres the Mica Powder Pigment:

I didn't have experience with either but I'd recommend them.
Lumber City Woodworking Awesome. Thanks a lot!
This is the second video i watch from you and you got some realy good woordworking skills my friend. This is an awsome idea. Well done!
really nice work, love the sign!
stunning
That is art
Hi there, Amazing work, great skills. What Mica Powder brand did you use? Thanks in advance
How hard is that epoxy after curing? i think of using colored epoxy for guitar inlays and i'm not sure if it gets too many scratches or is too soft
Beautiful work! Did you have any issues with bubbling? Seems to be a very common issue. Thanks for the video!
How do you sand it down at the end without sanding the hell out of the wood? Epoxy and wood sand at different rates, and I can never seem to get a flat surface - the epoxy always mounds, and then I try to focus too much on it and end up with nasty grooves...
Looks great. What epoxy colouring did you use?
What type of router bit did you use to do the inlay? Working on a similar project and looking for an effective way to do the inlay. Thanks
I believe that was a 3/4" mortising bit with a guide bearing. Anything that can plunge and follow a template will do. Flush trim bits would work perfect too.
What type of bit did you use in the router? I like how it left a flat surface instead of the wavy surface left when using a v groove or profile bit
It was a Freud mortising bit with a guide bearing. 3/4 in. You can get them at Home Depot. The trick to getting a smooth bottom is going over the cut a few times. If your reference surface is smooth and flat, and you maintain constant and smooth pressure, that should transfer to the cut.
Absolutely amazing!!!! Was that Pearl X powdered pigment, if so can you tell me the color?
What type of clamps were you using? I'm not sure that I've seen the blue ones before. They look great (and so does the table!)
ggentry34 the clamps are made and sold by Rockler. They sell them on their website if you dont have a local store. They come in very handy for all sorts of glue ups. They go on sale every now and again so if you're patient you can get a good deal on them.

how do you do the finishing? I saw you apply something on the epoxy then apply oil?
I applied a buffing compound to the epoxy to buff it smooth. The finish is just a polyurethane.
@@FrettholdBaits alright thank you very much 👍
What do you mix in the epoxy
Jason Mundt sorry for the delayed response. It's called mica powder. Great way to get color and a cool effect in epoxy resin.
How long does it take for the epoxy to get hard
Hard within several hours. Fully cured in 24hrs
Fretthold Baits there’s no need for a type of heater? It just gets hard on it own with normal temperature?
