Potentially FANTASTIC - NVIDIA GeForce Now on Steam Deck Review
Просмотров 5 тыс.3 месяца назад
This is exciting! Nvidia has now ported over a way to use their GeForce Now cloud gaming streaming client to Steam Deck! With this you're able to play games that can't natively run on Steam Deck that are available via their service. In addition, you can theoretically play games at higher graphical fidelity than you would natively leveraging up to an Nvidia 4080 graphics card! However, it doesn'...

Steam Deck OLED VS ROG Ally

The time has come for two of the absolute best portable PC handhelds to go head to head in a (mostly) objective match. Or. . .will there be a third option? Perhaps. . .a more complex scenario. Let's find out! Subscribe to be one of ...

Great video! The music had me accidentally chairdancing at work. My Steam Deck arrives today! Does the Killswitch add much bulk?
try it with bazzite i bought an ally just to install bazzite and its dope
me after getting it yesterday 😂
Does voice chat work via GeForce now?
Im hopping down here to help out with some engagement.😂 2k views and 3 comments is crazy! Gotta get some people down here. Great video! I recently uploaded my first video on a steam deck and have been trying to get more involved in the steam deck community since. The deck is honestly the coolest gadget ever. Love the thing. Keep creating!
it´s only amazing without windows :) bazzite is the key to enjoy this device.... it's my opinion about it... thx for the video.
Can you try to setup on a 4k Monitor or TV with Keyb & Mouse connected and Play Typical Keyb Mouse titel ? That could be a pc alternative with geforce now
Music kinda makes it hard to hear
Buy a Odin 2 or Odin 2 mini for retro games if you want to get into that. Just leave the beefy games to your console or pc man. The tech isn’t good enough yet for playing even bo3 without solid frames. Unless you hate yourself the. Go ahead and play on 30fps but it’s 2024 bro
sucks that red dead redemption is not on Geforce now ;/
Music is anoying....
I have a OG SD AND I LOVE IT but ima buy a rog non extreme version in 2 weeks hopefully i can get a good deal on amazon are Best Buy I don’t feel comfortable buying it off ebay and the prices now people want more them$450 for a non extreme thats not gonna happen
He's right, the rog ally is freaking awesome, and it's the best windows handheld out there by a mile...if your on the go alot...rog ally X is a must..
did he just say epic games? I have a ton of game that i have never played because they refuse to support steamdeck
Portability which means the point should go to steam for power bro, you're getting one to play on the go
Nice video! I have a Steam Deck and I barely play on it, but this video made me want to play on it more!
Nice video man! Watched the whole thing and I don't even own a steamdeck :D

Ego pump!!
Lol thanks Eric 😄
Dudes complaining about jaggies when he plays on a steam deck?! No matter what, the quality is going to be better than native. The app is in beta, but I've been using it for years on Android, TV, and PC and a lot of the bugs listed aren't really an issue with a good connection. Give it time to get out of beta and it'll be 100% better.
I really don't feel ANY NEED of this! Good video though. 👍👍
The only reason i ever used geforce now was to play my steam games on my tablet, before the steam deck existed, maybe i could use it for epic games, but i hardly ever play those games. Also has clous gaming gotten better? Always had too high latency fir me to see it viable. Im very old school, rj45, kbm, and a high refreshrate rate on a largescreen is my only way to enjoy gaming.
Cloud Gaming SUCKS! If I were you. I would rather wait for NVIDIA to release their own version of portable windows gaming handheld! They've done it before under the name TEGRA Processors. They just need to update their entire Tegra Processors so that in the future. We have A windows gaming handheld with an NVIDIA PROCESSOR.
That transition music at 6:09 was do loud I literally jumped
idiots talk too much on YT
I love ❤ my ROG untill my ssd failed 😤 Fuck you A SUS trying to charge me to get it fixed & the night mare going through with the warranty never again.. anyway just got my 1tb oled steamdeck and tell you what is way better amd also the support 100 times way better than Asus..
A lot of the games that don't run native on the deck will run fine on a windows install on the deck. This being a cheaper option than buying a Rog Aly or other windows hand held for existing users. Personally I just put windows to go on an SD card and bot from that instead of internal drive so if I want windows it's as simple as charging SD card and rebooting and if want steam os I just leave it as is. This is a good way of testing it before doing full installation to make sure the option is right for you as well as being a way of switching dependant on what you want
Man im not a fan of streaming games. So many little issues like skips, lag and screen blur. It adds up to making it unfun to play. And with a powerful machine like steam deck you may aswell play locally.
For sure! I think the big crowd for this would be non-Steam Deck native games and some indies that don't work with Proton layers (and anything that uses Anti-Cheat that devs haven't scripted for).
I used to not like streaming but a deck with a wifi 6e chip and router with 5ghz connection is actually viable. It won't be ideal for FPS or Tetris games but it's definitely good enough for slower paced games.
I recently got very lucky and had Fiber internet installed in my neighborhood and I went through and got a new provider and router set up. Full 6e mesh set up. Not expensive either for my area. Compared to how AT&T used to fuck me that is. And gotta say I think streaming can be really fun for conserving battery life on the deck and if you have a good pc man do games look good. 90fps path traced cyberpunk in bed is very cool.
Would love to see a comparison docked hooked up to ethernet running on the steam deck.
Powerful machine?
helped alot. thanks
Glad it helped!
Rog ally crap : no OLED, no trackpads, cheap buttons/terrible ergonomics, Armoury Crate bloatware Steam Deck feels like an actual handled console. ROG Ally a lot more powerful on paper but in reality it feels similar and both will be obsolete though Steam Deck or a real laptop but never the ROG Ally plus it will probably be abandoned by Asus on the long run
You might have had a faulty unit, my friend. Although not perfect, nowhere near the amount of problems you’re having.
I think the hardware is indeed solid. Very good. Unfortunately the company ASUS is super sketchy. The worse ethics and customer service I have ever experienced which is such a shame because if it wasn’t for that I would 100% buy more products. Had it not been for such terrible experiences I would buy the Ally X.
How do you split the. Virtual keyboard
You've not seen a difference in speeds between the two cards because the slower card is close or at the speed that the deck can handle
Its great. But I forgot how God awful windows is. It's just as well gates has a effective monopoly. I am currently having to re install windows because of bugs. I am going to use this device now for gaming and gaming alone. No more surfing.
oh how edgy you swore. I'm gonna subscribe. you legend. So impressed.
I hsve the regular z1 and it plays everything i played.
Its now msi claw (after latest update) vs the ally
nuh intel is bad
My ally experience: bought it, absolutely loved it and got me heavy into of gaming so I got a ton of games on sale. Windows update broke ally and then had nonstop driver issues so I put it away and got a laptop that runs everything at 1440p 140+fps. Came back to the ally 3 months later and updated it and now it works flawless as a streaming device from the laptop🤦🏼♂️😂 happy with both devices and they compliment each other well but it was definitely a rollercoaster getting here
asus rog ally is a rip off
The ally is nice bugs and all. Asus not so much
Hey guys watch out with Asus warranty program. They currently scamming customers and extorting customers to pay 200 for the warranty program.
Asus rog ally is Great
I got a big question, that I couldn't find anywhere... if you use the ally for just you know browsing and movies. How long does the battery lest?. The deck has of course a bigger battery life by just using it as a non gaming handheld. ( I have the deck, but thinking on going with the ally) coz I need windows..
The legion go would break through better if it wasn’t almost 250$ more than the asus rog ally..
Lol am i the only one that never had any problems with windows?
Yes.
Me either
No issues for me
No lol skill issue for the one complaining
@@HitmonD Or just more live experience. 😝
Ally is amazing the best tech thats been released for a good few years
Should I just wait for the next gen ally or do I get the ally now?
Wait
They’ve already said it’s getting announced first week of june
You could get it since they are cheaper now, the next model Ally X won't change that much, it's just more battery and a bit of extra Ram but will cost $$$$
Nice! I absolutely love my Ally. I may have been one of the luckier ones as I didn't experience many major issues and I had mine since launch. The frequency updates Asus have pushed have certainly improved the experience too. I also have a laptop from Alienware with a 140W 3080 and I find myself gaming on the Ally more since it's easier to fire up from anywhere around the house. Excited to see where things go.
