I like the Steam Deck a lot, I'm frustrated by games that won't work, verified games work like a charm. Times have changed a lot, back in the day I had two games for my gameboy, right now I have 24 games installed on the deck and there isn't a cartridge in sight.
Love the deck however mine seems to have a few issues like the left track pad is a lot louder n gives less haptic feedback n my right stick makes a clicking noise when it rotates. I really love this thing just 2 small issues that kinda bug me
I like my deck. I’d say if you have a lot of pc games it’s worthwhile (I do). For me playing the big open world titles and fps isn’t so fun on the deck. Sure it’s possible, but the small screen makes it frustrating. I still use my pc for those. I do play a ton of roguelikes and pixel games on it and those are great. The controller support is ehh. If you don’t like a lot of tinker get a switch (which I also have).
My biggest gripe is the battery. If the SOC had the power to do what it does at 15W load, but only use 7 or 8W instead, and the battery was 20wh bigger, i'd be a happy camper. Other than that. I also should say emulation of your games is completely legal and ethical. Downloading the games/system BIOS stuff off the internet is what's controversial/illegal. Lastly, I'd suggest you chill on the music, especially during the transitions
Awesome video. Been wanting a steam deck but can’t get my hands on one here in Zambia / Africa. Though how good is the performance on AAA titles. Also how good is the battery
You can generally get about 2-3ish hours on triple A titles if you force the frame rate to 40fps (which in this form factor is a really solid experience)
this thing has the potential to disrupt the console market, its so user friendly and pro tinkerer its incredible

Thank you Tek! I’m going to be ordering mine within the month I’m very excited
It's awesome! I'll be making some more videos about it in the coming weeks (including some neat ways to mod the UI to be more personalized)
2:02 is the moment when the quality of the video gets to new heights. And that's also the moment you say "Emulation". Coincidence?
nice video and i love the music! you got a playlist by any chance?
I'm just getting started so not yet, but I license all my music from Epidemic Sound 😄
@@ProfessorTek that helps a lot, thank you!
I just got a Aya neo 2 and love it
Awesome! I've heard it's great!

I think there are some applications/plugins that allow you to tweak the motors that control those features, it might be fixable

What about the frame rates for AAA titles. Say for a plague tale innocence?
Would you get a sold 60 or 30.
@@mwansasichalwe681 you’d typically get a solid 40 ! Which is great for portable AAA
Can u help me set up my steam deck emulator
Steam better keep up the updates because the Steam Deck is Awesome.
Trie to step up from stable version.. You might get 2-3 os update per day.. They are really working on it.
Nice video, contents are straight forward and nicely delivered. But transition music can be turned down a notch.
