Holy cow. THANK YOU for such an unbelievably kind response guys. I’m honestly blown away. Never in a million years did I think one of my first videos would pick up this amount of support. Thank you so, so, so much for all the kind comments and interactions. Im so grateful that you took the time and energy to write such lovely things, I really wasn’t expecting it. THANK YOU 🙏 I’m not too sure what this channel is, or what it’s going to be…yet (will talk about this in a later video) but I’m going to work on a couple more steam deck videos as a thank you for the wonderful response 😊 And on that note, I’m going to be making a video soon about 3 games YOU recommend I play on Steam Deck… So what Steam Deck games should I play next?? 🧐 Thanks again, I’ll never forget it. ❤ Mike p.s sorry for calling it a console 😅
Hello Mike B, I personally feel anyone that's putting them selves out there deserves a little support. Keep up the great work and your channel and community your building will flourish! 👍🏽 I have a suggestion: Maybe start out making a few videos on recent games you love or enjoy playing at this moment on your steam deck! Currently there will be no up front cost with you having to purchase new games and we also get to know more about your gaming likes. Just a suggestion until you get more requests maybe. Thanks again for your content, I'll be waiting for me of your videos to drop! Have a good day! ✌🏽
You should definitely keep going with this. As someone who knows about how a video should look and sound, you did great for a starter! This channel looks promising!
-No shouting -No constant begging to like and subscribe -No cliche “shocked” face thumbnail -Likable personality -Really informative Keep doing this. Your channel will blow up get really popular. Awesome video man. Subbed.
“If you’re new here, which you almost definitely are…” I looked at your subscriber count and was SHOCKED! Only 48!!? You’ll grow soon! This is a high quality, entertaining, thoughtfully explained video. I’m excited to watch your channel grow!
Between daily life and kids, Can't lie the only way I get to play my serise x is via console streaming the steam deck looks like a dream come true ,AAA games on the go.
Ugh this is such a refreshing review: a normal person who appreciates the thing without focusing on tiny details or going way overboard caring about specs etc. Reasonable, tuned in to what matters, not taking it too seriously 🔥
I’ve been researching reviews and videos of the steam deck since it’s been getting in peoples hands. This has to be my favorite review. It’s extremely relatable and I can’t wait to get mine this Friday and to be able to game while being in the living room with my wife ❤️
I recommend someone stand outside and wait, because sometimes it could get stolen. Because the box it shipped it has valve name with steam deck with what version you pick. There few videos of people steam deck got stolen. I hope your able to get yours fine
when you said you have only 2 hours of free time before you go to bed. Hit's me right at home lol. I thought that once I have a job, I'll be able to play all the games I want because I can purchase them. Little did I know that I had to choose what I want to do with that free time. Sometimes I don't even play any games, I just watch RUclips. Sometimes I lazy around doing nothing on my PC but when I have like 30 minutes left before I go to bed, then only I feel like I want to play a game for that last 30 minutes.. Only to realize it's almost 2am and I really need to go to sleep. haha. I also want to wish you all the best in your RUclips channel. This video is very well made and very high quality. I love it.
Thats exactly it! So hard to find the time to game like we did when we were kids right? Thanks so much for the kind comment man, really appreciate it 🙏
Nice humor, and great production value. When I watched the video I was sure you were at least in the "tens of thousands" range when it comes to subscriptions, and I was quite surprised it's just 74. Well, 75 now, cheers! As for the Steam Deck - I've had it for around 3,5 months now, and I'm loving it to bits. I second all the things you've said about being in the same space with your other half. For some reason it works better for me in this capacity than a stationary console and/or a gaming PC with Moonlight. I can't explain it exactly, but think it may have something to do with the fact that it's kinda easier to control how engrossed you are in the game. You also don't need as much space - when you game on a TV, it kinda fills the entire room, and, in a way, dominates what the other person is doing (and, of course, there's always the question of who'll get to use the screen ;)). Whereas, with the Steam Deck, you can just lounge on the sofa, engage in some small talk from time to time, and STILL somehow feel engaged and focused on the game. This is a major factor when it comes to going through my backlog, especially since the Steam Deck allows me to access all the games I normally play on my gaming rig. This is what I really wanted when I bought my Switch years ago - but never got, at least until now. Honestly, I haven't even turned the Switch on once since the Steam Deck arrived.
Ah man thank you so, so much! Totally hit the nail on head when it comes to being engrossed in the game and dominating the space when in a living room with others. I feel kinda selfish playing games in the living room tv too. Steam deck seems like a perfect balance of play and social ehy?
I feel the same way but still play my switch, and will be playing it probably exclusively when Tears of the Kingdom comes out. I’m very excited for that lol
Absolute spot on review… This little device has caused me to drop my $5000 PC 3090 ti all together. Playing this on my deck in the hammock is unbelievable. Emulation is where it’s at… I have a full catalog of Nintendo classics from snes, Nintendo, game boy, wii. Have fun! Keep on gaming!
This sold it for me, hugely relate to having loads of games on steam I haven't touched that lots of friends always talk about and reference so defo a great way to get them played!
DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! Massive fan of your channel man, huge inspiration for me making lofi tracks for the last couple years. Really appreciate you taking the time to comment 🙏🏼 Hope you’re doing well mate
Legit echoed the same reasons I bought my deck. Really nailed it with spending time with your partner. Not having to make that choice has been amazing. I got my deck on Sunday (18Sep22) and I have gamed infinitely more than I have on my gaming PC in a long while. Not only was this the best "new console" experience I've ever had, mostly due in part to the store, but it's quickly become my preferred way to play games. Amazing video. Subbed.
What a nice video, and I can absolutely agree! I love my Steam Deck as well. To me, the Steam Deck is kind of like the good old "GameBoy days" where it's this thing that you just quickly grab, play a few minutes, and put away. With my PC, it always feels like there's an effort to it and needing to go to where the computer is. And that effort just made me not play at all in the end.
Thanks so much man :) That's exactly it! It's much more of an event to go to a room and set up a PC right?? Love the pick up and play nature of the steam deck. So glad you're enjoying yours too!
Hold up, 613 subs?? I thought this was like a "main" channel like someone i've never seen but they have hundreds of thousands of subs. What a very well made video. I'm subscriber 614 so i'm riding with you to the top my friend!
This is the best review of the Steam Deck I have seen and I've watched many. I've had my Steam Deck for about 3 weeks and funny enough I was just talking about the social aspect of your video right before I saw this and yep you nailed it, and is also why its becoming so liked by me.
I very rarely comment on videos but I felt like I had to echo the sentiments others have expressed about the great pacing, production quality, and humor you have for such a new channel. Really excellent stuff and a great review prospective. Put in a reservation for one of these a couple months back somewhat on a whim because I figured it might be too good to be true but now I'm more excited than ever to get my hands on one whenever my order gets processed. Cheers to your future success on RUclips and keep it up!
You've got good energy, man. I hope you grow more. I'll be here. Edit: I just read there was a point after posting this video when you had 50 subs. Already multiplied your subs by 12 in 4 days! That's crazy!
The mere fact that you were so openly active in the face of a camera and the quality of the video in literally THE FIRST FEW SECONDS made me think you had at least 100K subs, but this was 3 months ago and you were at 37? That seemed so wrong to me, even now, I think you deserve more than just 7K.
Ahh thank you man 😊 Incredibly kind of you to say! I’m honestly so shocked and humbled by 7k as it is, not sure how I’d cope with 100k 😂 But maybe one day! Thanks again dude, I hope you have a good day 🙏🏼
ah I see the algorithm is working properly for once. You got yourself a new subscriber! I am loving my steam deck, Being able to play next to my partner while he naps or does his own thing is awesome. The steam deck is why I started MGS5 and have been playing stardew valley more!
I almost didn't have enough to get mine tonight but I got the rest of the money for it and bought it like an hour ago. Like everyone else, I've been waiting for a year now and I'm just glad I was one of the people who saw it back in July '21 and got in soon. A lot to say I bought mine and can't wait for it to get here
It’s soooo good. It can handle most games flawlessly, and if you feel like tinkering even the games that don’t work will work. Best thing to finally play all those games we all get during sales and never even install.
Well I’d say the performance for the deck are really well tuned and premium for its price/hardware, like it’s a custom chip that valve and AMD worked on together and in that sense I believe the performance will only get better for it when they keep rolling out these updates/ software patch’s as well, and since it’s a custom chip I believe some developers maybe not all but if it continues to sell very well I believe certain games as well as newer upcoming titles will be optimized to run playable on the deck as long as some minor expectations are understood.
Also regarding your issue with the underwhelming battery life you say your experiencing, just some minor tips I can share with you but u may already know them, but things like locking the Gamescope with in the settings to a solid 30fps or a 40fps/40Hz could be something that would help a lot, as well as limiting the TDP but I would say for the the most part the TDP does a great job judging the right amount of wattages to use in most games. Oh and lowering resolution and using the FSR 1.0/ or FSR 2.0 in combination of locking your frame rate to 30fps or 40fps/40Hz will paint the best picture for you to understand the max battery life u can expect, so u should tinker around and tune things with those settings as well as the in-game settings.
Wow! Seriously one of the best tech reviews I’ve ever watched. No specs, only relevant information and perspectives that I actually care about. A nice executed review that feels personal and has a great sense of humor. Awesome work!! 👏
Loved your vid, hope to get mine the next month, I've seen hundreds of videos of it but liked yours because you talk about your experience and not about numbers, good work
Ok so I hope your channel blows up. This video felt pristine, perfect, entertaining. I think you were made for this. I rarely genuinely care and root for channels but once in a while you come across one of the good ones and this is it. You have great potential. Keep going - dont give up! Edit: forgot to say that you also seem like such a pleasant person to be around, it makes it much more enjoyable to watch and listen to a likeable person. Like youre hanging out with a friend
Welcome to RUclips - your video was fantastic! Great sound volume, perfect Broll placement, music was good and not too loud, and your personality is a joy to watch. I wish you and your channel much success!
I agree, the Steam Deck is an absolute AMAZING console. It's extremely accessible and fun to just mess around with when it comes to testing and running different games in general. Fantastic video! I'm surprised that you're not around at least 100,000 subscribers yet, but I can guarantee you'll definitely go far with the quality or your videos. (also love your sense of humor lol) Well done!
The Love Island clip absolutely killed me haha. You've earned yourself a new subscriber and have convinced me to get a steam deck. Have a nice day, Mike!
After 3 Months with my Steam Deck I sold my Switch after seeing how my favorite games run perfectly on Yuzu. Never looking back. It's amazing to be able to message friends or use discord while playing Pokemon or Smash. Much more ergonomical than my Switch with the upgraded joycons and being able to leave my laptop at home for work and do everything on Desktop Mode is AMAZING.
This video was absolutely fantastic. I’m a little late, but I was blown away you only had 38 subscribers. Keep up the awesome work and I’m sure your channel will only grow more!
Great video, I’m sat here with the “your deck is available” email thinking do I actually need it. Your video has convinced me. I’m so time poor for games the sofa / wife, 20 min drop in and out thing sounds perfect!
Brilliant review. I've just pre-ordered the Steam Deck 512GB version, sadly I have to wait till Jan 23 the earliest but this is by far one of the devices I am looking forward to the most. I have a Switch and I enjoy playing the Nintendo games A LOT, but most of the 3rd party titles run poorly or capped at 30fps. My PS5, albeit incredible is gathering more dust than I would like it to be but that's not because it is not great or anything, probably the greatest home console ever, it's just being an adult with a full-time job, I don't always find 2-3 hours of just playing video games, Switch solves it for me as I can just pick it up and play but besides the Switch first party games it really shows its age and I can't rely on it for AA/AAA games and even some indies that never see the light of day on the Switch.
I’ve just missed the delivery driver on Friday, and was gutted not to get my Steam Deck then. 🤦♂️. But seriously going forward, with people set to be hit by very high energy prices, with electric and everything else sky rocketing, using the steam deck makes more sense ,with its lower power consumption, as opposed to the average gaming pc. My Intel i9 pc with a nvidia 2080ti graphics card, that I think uses around 180w of power alone, probably a lot more. Using the steam deck with its 45w power draw really hits the spot going forward. I can see my desktop pc being used a lot less now. Really good video, I’m now a subscriber to the channel!👍
Watched a lot of reviews but this one is different, you gave some really helpful tips and scenarios where the deck is good, like to be playing something while hanging on with someone around and not taking over the hole space by turning the tv on it's great ! You can even interact with your wifus whiteout your partner knowing 😂
I’ve got a reservation down and I can’t wait for the Steam Deck, getting though my library will be great; Control and Death Stranding stick out at the moment. But also, I have a few games on Stadia and being able to use the steam deck to play those would be great too!
Great video, I've been watching Steam deck content ever since I managed to get one that I've asked a friend who's in Europe to bring it to me, since it's not currently at sale in my country. Your's video was one of the most satisfying to watch, I felt so calm and relaxed it really looked like I was hearing a friend talking. Have a great day.
Mike, I have watched absolutely loads of videos for tech stuff of all sorts over the years as we are a bit of a techie family, and I can honestly say you have nailed it. Everything is spot on - nice and clear explanation, cover the points like what it is like to own the deck which is great to hear as anyone can reel out the specs, video clarity brilliant, good editing. You have a great presenting style as seconded by my Mrs! - you seem a lovely guy too and a nice house to serve as a background!! RUclipsrs normally expect to do videos which are not up to much when they first start out but you have obviously not read that rule! Well done Mike!!
Ahh man thank you so much for such a lovely message. I really do appreciate it more than you know 🙏🏼 Hope you have a great day my man. Excited to carry on making videos 😊
I had my deck only a week, but I love it. Busy life with 3 kids. So it’s perfect for short bursts of gaming, while still being in the living room. Either keeping an eye on the kids, or freeing up the tv for anyone else using it. Great video 👍
To me I found that playing at 40 fps is the perfect experience. Good on battery life and still looks buttery smooth. Anyways nice down to earth video. I appreciate the normalcy here. I watch every steam deck review that comes out. To me this has become my favorite piece of gaming tech. It used to be the PSP and PS3. I will always love those and have the Nostalgia for them. But what valve did here is truly special.
I feel the same way as you when it comes to playing on the couch while my wife watches tv. A lot of the time before I got my steamdeck I would end up next to her watching something that didnt really excite me because I wanted to be around her and she wanted me around as well instead of upstairs on my computer. But it is nice now to have the best of both worlds. I can mostly be focused on my game but tune in and out to what she is watching or be there if she has something she wants to say to me or vis a versa. It really helped me to be close to her while also going through my massive backlog of games I really have wanted to try. Great video, you have another new subscriber in me. In terms of game recs for the steam deck, I have been really enjoying Yakuza 0 on it although it does drain the battery fast. I like playing with it plugged in to the wall or my portable battery using the passthrough for power. Indie games are the best on the deck. I can recommend Strange Horticulture, Cuphead, Thronebreaker, Hades, and Gris. Those are just the indies I have played on the deck but I am excited to try many more, like citizen sleeper and I want to finish Disco Elysium on the deck as well. Gamepass and Playstation streaming are also super great on the deck for me but I do have good internet so YMMV I guess.
Nice video man, surprisingly professional for such a new channel, keep going you’ll go far i know it. Personally haven’t got mine yet seems to be maybe coming end of the month finger’s crossed, but i got the same model and i’m so excited.
Good video! Like youre flow. Easy to listen to. I think this video have taken away some doubt about buying a steam deck. Gonna buy 1 for sure now. Never had acces to steam games. So this is gonna be huge for me. Fist bump from Holland!
Love this! So glad to hear that FF14 runs well on it. I have the same nightly guilt about how to spend my time at night -- my wife will always win out. Steam Deck seems like a great middle ground. Now I'm just hoping my July 2022 preorder won't take a year haha
Just subbed and I know your channel will explode if you keep up the great work and more SD videos. Quality videos and I follow lots of tech and gaming channels. Still waiting for my Deck, stoked to have it before Xmas! Can't wait to see more from you! ✌🏽
Valve hit it out of the park with this one for sure. Looking forward to their upcoming dock, and hoping that the rumors of a new Steam controller are true as well.
This review was very refreshing, in a way that I could really relate to your situation. I am married and father of two young children and also struggle to find balance between my social life and my gaming hobby that I had since I was a kid. I have my expected order availability set to july-september and can't wait to get my hands on my steam deck. I will keep an eye out for your future videos, so keep up the good work when you have time 👏
shout out to all the indie game devs, you are the only thing keeping the gaming ship afloat anymore. we appreciate you and the heart poured into your amazing titles. AAA games have been garbage for years now.
to be fair it's a double edged sword. games like terraria and stardew valley are insanely good, but let's not forget that there's a vast sea of absolute trash indie games beyond the few gems that really shine. which isn't to say triple A games are all amazing, like you said, that isn't the case. but this whole indie genre is just a bit too much for me at times to be honest, steam is absolutely oversaturated with those sort of games.
@@屋水-n7c It's not really a double edged sword, as nobody is forcing you to buy or play the bad games. It's kind of like with free speech. I'd rather put put with really bad opinions, than have the government dictate what is and isn't allowed to be said. Likewise, I'd rather sift through a few bad games, than be stuck with AAA games.
Just came across your video in the my recommended and I was shocked you only had a few thousand subs. I expected to see like 200k+ I love the content and subbed and can't wait to see more!
Great review but I definitely don't agree about your thoughts on OLED screens. I'd much rather pay extra and have a OLED compared to LCD. The OLED on my Switch compared to my Steam Deck is miles ahead.
My dude, amazing content. Thoughtful and well-delivered, jokes in the right places, down to Earth with lots of personality. Great production quality, editing and B-roll on point. Audio levels are butter smooth. Sub earned man keep it up! Lookin forward to seeing where you take the channel!
Got the 512GB Steam Deck just sitting unused since last week while I figure out what to play on it... Just downloaded Witcher 3 (fiddling around high setting with medium shadows, Nvidia hair disabled for ~60fps) and Disco Elysium onto it My Steam Library pales in comparison to my PlayStation's 😖
Well I'm gonna recommend to you what Valve was hoping to achieve. Just wait for a sale. There is one big sale every quarter, the biggest being summer and winter (formerly christmas) sale and there are SOOOOOOOOOOOO many games for a ridiculously low price. Seriously, just look around the shop on a sale, see your recommendations and you can get absolute bangers for 5 bucks. Or get some games like Terarria which is 7 bucks without sale; I know this game is on consoles but somehow it feels like it didn't get any real traction outside of PC world.
Hey mike, all the reviews I've watch about this steam deck your one spoke to me, I've got a wife and 2 kids and a very busy life home at 6 cook eat wash up play with the kids, if I'm lucky I get an hour to chill, and everything you say about being with your partner and yet playing a game really rang true with me, I'm getting the steam deck, your review swang it for me thanks!
Exactly the expectation I have from steam deck and why I just bought it. Wanna play on a handheld device on the couch while chilling with my son and others. Great video!
I don’t have a Deck yet but I got my email yesterday and paid so now I am waiting for it to ship. So excited!! Since that email, I think I have watched all the Steam Deck videos in the world. This is the first one I’ve commented on. Great vid ;)
Yes. Thanks. Really agree about expanding the access to games. Have been taking the steam deck along for trips this summer and have been shipping away at my backlog while looking out over an open ocean when the sun comes up.
Your video finally convinced me to pull the trigger on the steam deck! Thank you! The part of the video you talking about spending more time in the same room with your partner and how you did the same with the gameboy back in the day was extremely relatable. Great Video!
Hey, I don’t really comment , but I really like that you said how important it is to be with someone when you play games. It’s weird but being with my wife when we are both close and just doing our stuff is very cozy and intimate. Good stuff I subbed.
Hey man! How're you doing? Thanks for taking the time to comment 😄 Ahh it's so true! Such a nice thing to be able to both do your own while still hanging out, absolutely love it 😄 Thanks for the sub my man, really appreciate it. Have a great day 🙏
Holy cow. THANK YOU for such an unbelievably kind response guys. I’m honestly blown away. Never in a million years did I think one of my first videos would pick up this amount of support. I’m not too sure what this channel is, or what it’s going to be…yet (will talk about this in a later video) but I’m going to work on a couple more steam deck videos as a thank you for the wonderful response 😊
And on that note, I’m going to be making a video soon about 3 games YOU recommend I play on Steam Deck…
So what Steam Deck games should I play next?? 🧐
Thanks again, I’ll never forget it. ❤
Mike
p.s sorry for calling it a console 😅

Heyy! I'd love to see you play MultiVersus!
Horizon Zero Dawn!

The shocked face thumbnail is so true 😂😂😂, hate those things
This video showed up on my RUclips home page…and I’m loving my Steam Deck too! It’s brilliant.
Hey MJ! This guy has some skills, hard to believe he is so new at this right?
Hey man! Thanks so much for the comment. Glad you love yours too 😊 Great review on it by the way! 👏

I feel the same way but still play my switch, and will be playing it probably exclusively when Tears of the Kingdom comes out. I’m very excited for that lol

Subbed.
he's a cat girl baby🤣🤣🤣
762 subs? Dang... quality of video implies a much higher subs count. Solid steam deck video 👌
Thanks so much for the kind comment man, really appreciate it. So glad to have you here 🙏
This is the best review of the Steam Deck I have seen and I've watched many. I've had my Steam Deck for about 3 weeks and funny enough I was just talking about the social aspect of your video right before I saw this and yep you nailed it, and is also why its becoming so liked by me.
Hey man! So glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Ur vibe is so natural. You were born for this👍🏽
Too kind! Thank you mate, comments like this make me wanna make more videos 😄
Ahh thank you so much mate 😄 I really appreciate you taking the time out to write such a kind comment 🙏 Grateful to have you here 😊
You've got good energy, man. I hope you grow more. I'll be here.
Edit: I just read there was a point after posting this video when you had 50 subs. Already multiplied your subs by 12 in 4 days! That's crazy!
Thanks so much for the kind comment man, really appreciate it. So glad to have you here 🙏 I knoooow right?! Im so overwhelmed 😂
i just got my deck yesterday. mostly i spent time poking around at it. it’s so far a great device.
Love the vibe of this video. So chill. As a new dad hopefully this allows me to continue gaming more frequently.
Just got mine today and it happens to be my birthday :)
Wahooooo! Happy birthday dude! How you finding it so far?
🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰
Still not got mine... Hoping I get the email soon to say its ready.. Great video, makes me want mine even more!!
Good luck with the channel...
I almost didn't have enough to get mine tonight but I got the rest of the money for it and bought it like an hour ago. Like everyone else, I've been waiting for a year now and I'm just glad I was one of the people who saw it back in July '21 and got in soon. A lot to say I bought mine and can't wait for it to get here
Subscribed for the Inscryption mention!
Thanks for supporting Indie game devs fam, we appreciate the love.
It’s soooo good. It can handle most games flawlessly, and if you feel like tinkering even the games that don’t work will work. Best thing to finally play all those games we all get during sales and never even install.
Yeah it's the backlog killa!
Loving it however the quality control is just awful, thinking of RMAing and the performance is not mind blowing as the battery life is tiny
@@mr.sleekllama7473 what’s your battery life looking like?
I could listen to you all day long talking about anything in the world
Thank you my man 😄 Too kind!
I was looking forward to getting mine around October but now I’m even more excited to get my hands on it
Great points. Within the ‘decide in two days’ period and you’ve sold me one. Keep up the good content man.
Great video. I too get more time to play due to portability of the Deck. Not only at home, but on lunch breaks at work.
Well, you just earned another subscriber. My Steam Deck will be here next week, and I'm beyond excited.
Wow! Seriously one of the best tech reviews I’ve ever watched. No specs, only relevant information and perspectives that I actually care about. A nice executed review that feels personal and has a great sense of humor. Awesome work!! 👏
Ahh man thank you SO much. Unbelievably kind 🙏🏼 Excited to make some more similar videos 😄
@@mike.barnes looking forward to it! 😁
Ah man, so so kind. Thank you🙏 Really appreciate you taking the time to be so nice. So glad you're enjoying the videos 😊
Thank you so, so much man 🙏
The Love Island clip absolutely killed me haha.
Such a game changer isn't it?!
Thank you for the video been looking for someone UK based for steam deck content 👍🏻
This video was absolutely fantastic. I’m a little late, but I was blown away you only had 38 subscribers. Keep up the awesome work and I’m sure your channel will only grow more!
Thank you master Obi-wan 🙏
Great review, I just purchased mine and i'm waiting on it to come in the mail. So excited!
I didn't even realize you were a small channel. The quality and how you presented yourself was top tier! great review, I can't wait to get one myself
Ahh thank you so much man😄Really appreciate the kind comment. I hope you get one soon!
same
Great video, I’m sat here with the “your deck is available” email thinking do I actually need it.
I feel like they’re lying about the stock to sell more
Why is that???
After the success of the steam deck, you can call this direction PC, but not "Personal Computer" but "Personal Console"
Super high quality video my dude. Great content too! Thanks for the video!
Watched a lot of reviews but this one is different, you gave some really helpful tips and scenarios where the deck is good, like to be playing something while hanging on with someone around and not taking over the hole space by turning the tv on it's great ! You can even interact with your wifus whiteout your partner knowing 😂
I just bought mine. So excited! Love this review.
Now that Island Sanctuary is coming to FFXIV, the Steam Deck will now be my ultimate leisure device!
Great vid man! I’m excited to get mine tomorrow!
Very nice content, especially given the sub count. Thank you for the video! Subscribed.
@@mike.barnes you are more than welcome Mike!
Lovely vid…… your spirit is pure and appreciate that…… it also helps that I’m a steam deck fanboy 😭a proud DeckHead 😭😭😭
Thanks so much! I massively appreciate it :) Enjoy ya steam deck!!
Great video bro ✊🏽 enjoyed the review 🫡
Just subbed and I know your channel will explode if you keep up the great work and more SD videos. Quality videos and I follow lots of tech and gaming channels. Still waiting for my Deck, stoked to have it before Xmas! Can't wait to see more from you! ✌🏽
Wow man nice job, watching from Texas here.... Video Quality and Editing is on point! Thank you! Looking forward to where this channel goes.
Valve hit it out of the park with this one for sure. Looking forward to their upcoming dock, and hoping that the rumors of a new Steam controller are true as well.
I like how you mentioned game addiction and responsibilities because I can relate. You’ve earned a sub.
This review was very refreshing, in a way that I could really relate to your situation. I am married and father of two young children and also struggle to find balance between my social life and my gaming hobby that I had since I was a kid.
I have my expected order availability set to july-september and can't wait to get my hands on my steam deck. I will keep an eye out for your future videos, so keep up the good work when you have time 👏
This video is well made. Nice camera, audio, lighting, editing.
shout out to all the indie game devs, you are the only thing keeping the gaming ship afloat anymore. we appreciate you and the heart poured into your amazing titles. AAA games have been garbage for years now.
Yeah. It is funny. I built a gaming PC years ago, but I end up playing easy to run indie games.
to be fair it's a double edged sword. games like terraria and stardew valley are insanely good, but let's not forget that there's a vast sea of absolute trash indie games beyond the few gems that really shine. which isn't to say triple A games are all amazing, like you said, that isn't the case. but this whole indie genre is just a bit too much for me at times to be honest, steam is absolutely oversaturated with those sort of games.
@@屋水-n7c When we talk about indie games we mean full on indie studios. Not asset dumps.
I just got my Steamdeck for Christmas and been playing the hell out of crosscode. Y’all have any other indie recommendations?
Just came across your video in the my recommended and I was shocked you only had a few thousand subs. I expected to see like 200k+ I love the content and subbed and can't wait to see more!
Just wholesome content without trying to be something your not. Gotta subscribe outta me my friend
Ah thanks man :) Massively appreciate it!
@@mike.barnes no worries mate. You just keep doing you and those subscribes will come in due time.
Okay, well it won't be long until you have a million SUBS. Superb quality and smooth talking.
Great review but I definitely don't agree about your thoughts on OLED screens. I'd much rather pay extra and have a OLED compared to LCD. The OLED on my Switch compared to my Steam Deck is miles ahead.
Totally fair point. OLED screens are definitely a big step up. I guess they had to cut some cost somewhere. Im certain steam deck 2 will have OLED ;)
Here 3 weeks later and you're now at 3k+ subs (+1 from me!) You deserve it & keep going!
My dude, amazing content. Thoughtful and well-delivered, jokes in the right places, down to Earth with lots of personality. Great production quality, editing and B-roll on point. Audio levels are butter smooth. Sub earned man keep it up! Lookin forward to seeing where you take the channel!
Ahh thank you so much my dude 😄 Massively appreciate the kind words 🙏 Thanks for being part on the channel 😊
Nice Video man, well edit and assembled. Good luck!
Got the 512GB Steam Deck just sitting unused since last week while I figure out what to play on it...
Just downloaded Witcher 3 (fiddling around high setting with medium shadows, Nvidia hair disabled for ~60fps) and Disco Elysium onto it
My Steam Library pales in comparison to my PlayStation's 😖
Well I'm gonna recommend to you what Valve was hoping to achieve. Just wait for a sale. There is one big sale every quarter, the biggest being summer and winter (formerly christmas) sale and there are SOOOOOOOOOOOO many games for a ridiculously low price. Seriously, just look around the shop on a sale, see your recommendations and you can get absolute bangers for 5 bucks. Or get some games like Terarria which is 7 bucks without sale; I know this game is on consoles but somehow it feels like it didn't get any real traction outside of PC world.
@@tropicalfruit4571 Bought them both at 80% off. 😃
This was a great video! I just got my 512 last week and it has been super fun. Still getting the hang of things but I have no regrets!
Good video
Swore this was a video by some huge gaming magazine Ike game informer, cheers buddy this is extremely well produced…love from Trinidad and Tobago
Ahh thanks so much man, far too kind. Just had so much fun making the video you know! Have a great day bud 😄
Ok...first video and you charmed your way into my sub. I see you! Great job bruv.
The type of review I need. Honest and real
Exactly the expectation I have from steam deck and why I just bought it. Wanna play on a handheld device on the couch while chilling with my son and others. Great video!
One of the best reasons to get one man! Happy gaming with your son 😄 Thanks mate
great video! i couldn’t believe that this is only your third video. please keep going!
This video was super help full for me! Thank you so much
Just got the chance to finally order mine today, awesome video, good luck on growing the channel :)
I don’t have a Deck yet but I got my email yesterday and paid so now I am waiting for it to ship. So excited!! Since that email, I think I have watched all the Steam Deck videos in the world. This is the first one I’ve commented on. Great vid ;)
That was so chill man, love your still :D My steam deck is on its way!! So excited! Cheers mate!
Yes. Thanks. Really agree about expanding the access to games. Have been taking the steam deck along for trips this summer and have been shipping away at my backlog while looking out over an open ocean when the sun comes up.
Commenting to boost this video in the algorithm, this is really good production quality lmao
This video is so chill. looking forward to see what else you make, keep up the quality work!
