Thank you for the video and the clear explanations. I am hoping to do a top end rebuild on my newly acquired "86 XL185 (engine looks preety similar to the ATC one). I am thinking of pre-ordering gaskets and a seal kit before i start, but i have not come across a gasket for the rocker cover. Is there a gasket on the rocker cover? (I did not see its underside on the video). Thank you.

i’ve been wondering this for a while since i haven’t gotten the chance to leave how to ride a normal 2 wheel bike but have pretty good balance..how much balance does it really take to ride like a honda atc 200?

Hey bud, that recoil starter, has that got the same internals inside as the Atc200es? Was hard to tell with the view i saw. Ive found the same internals are used on the Kawasaki klf300 bayou so kinda makes sense if other used it too. Make a good episode showing where you can interchange what parts from brands. Nice try, but maybe a good friend of mine could learn that you can't save them all. Those wheels should be a 115mm bolt pattern. Suzuki's were using 130mm and 140mm on early Quadrunners. I use Mudthrowers tire and wheel application chart. We have a field of 4 foot weeds for machines in that kind of shape and pick off what we need. Thank you for your efforts.

Ok I've just picked my 3rd trx125 that was just as abandoned. Haven't look at it yet but I'm not giving up so easy on mine. But have to find bumper, grab bar and rear fenders if she'll run. Pictures are up on my Instagram. Like watching ur videos for sure and I'll check out ur ebay shop

Installed a new clutch in my 250sx, but now it doesn't disengage. When I hold the shift lever all the way up the bike still accelerates. Any advice?

Very helpful ! What if i just need to do the one way bearing & not the clutch. will i still have to do the clutch as well ?

I love having my 84 kxt. I race it. The kx cylinder intake carb and appropriate pipe is supposed to be good for a 7-9 hp increase. That's a lot considering stock numbers! I have an ez pull clutch lever from ori, highly recommended. I did a cable to hydraulic conversion on the front drum and it's a close next best thing to the 85 disc. I also have an 86 carrier holding that bigger rear axle and splines up with Honda wheel hubs, it's bolted right into the 84 arm. I'm in the process of a little refinishing right now, next race just over a week away.

That is absolutely 100% not an 87 top end I owned one that has the small bolt pattern on the reed cage The 87 has the same reeds as the quadzilla in the 87 there's two more bolts than the small reed cage Trust me I know I owned one I've had to argue this with so many people they only did it for 1 year

Yo brother honda fan here too on my channel but the xr dirt bike models. Besides that you need to get a po box. I've got a few different 85 honda parts I'd send u plus few cylinder measuring tools I have no idea what they are good for. Love the video even if I think the 86 was better since I owned one for short time 😁😁😁. Catch u in next video peace

The 87 top end will fit on a newer bottom end you can make quite a bit more power with the 87 top end with less port work

As far as motor goes the best one to have is an 87 the 87 has the big reed motor has the same reeds as the LT500R or better known as the quadzilla yours appears to be an 88 or an 89 I would say as it still has the cantilever suspension but has the smaller reed cage bolt pattern

Need your help!!! Trying to replace studs n lugs on ft wheel of my 1985 honda 250es big red. Bought replacement tire n rim. Studs broke off... looked on line but no one shows for my model. What other models inter change? Saw a lot of availability for sx model. Where can i get 4 studs 4 lugs and 4 washers? Any help i would appreciate. Thank you!
