Great video for the quirky little machine... I was an 84 big red kid at the time but could see it fitting in with my neighbors 200s. Enjoyed the video!
That klt200 shares the same front suspension as the klt250 prairie which makes me believe it’s kind of a crossover like the 200m almost. Kawasaki also had a 160 and 110 what’s cool about the klt110 is I think around 85 they got front shocks. Which no other 110 had at the time!
Nice little rig. We had a 250 at a shop a while back and that gave me the bug to find a black atc with gold rims. I've been the proud owner of a Yamaha 225 for the last 2 years. 225 in Citi-speak is referred to as, deuce and a quarter from the Buick Electra 225. Great catch man.
So I guess I can answer a few kawi questions. The 200 was the first kawi trike, they had no front suspension. Then they had late model 200s with front suspension. Then there was the 250, if you had the 250prairie, racks were standard. Racks were optional on all non prairie. All the klt200/250s, have essentially the engine right out of the kz motorcycle, hence the clutch. Early 200s even have tprovisions for a kickstarter like a motorcycle. There were some other models many forgot, a 110, 160, and 185. I believe some of those were even shaft driven.bonus points if you ever come across a klt200 ducker in factry camo. TLDR, Kawasaki had some interesting ideas, lots of variations on models over just a few years. And the cdi boxes fail…frequently.
@@Mrcbuilds another rare weird trike to look for is a Suzuki alt185. They are really crude for being released in 85. Feels like it’s more akin to 81-82, very basic machines.
I’d love to find an alt 185! I’ve got a 83 alt125 as of now. Pretty fun machine I do at some point want to put a lt185 engine in it and see how it does.
@@kollinspencer847 very capable, very rugged. I’m glad to have one. You can go pretty much anywhere. And they have reverse! And the ride quality is great for a hardtail with that super long seat.
Never have had a Kawasaki. everything just seems out of place. I have lots around me for cheap. I really don't wanna mess with them. Awesome video though!
I would pick one up atleast the metal gas tank klts like the 110,160,185 they were more like hondas cause they had metal gas tanks and were pretty fast with honda shifting pattern
This model is basicialy like a honda 200m minus reverse but you would be better buying a klt250 cause its a pretty good work trike, but theres the klt110,klt160,klt185 i escaped police on my black klt160 before but they usualy have issues with rust in the gas tank
We talked about it several months ago and I stated just because it has a honda on a gas tank does not always mean it's the best bike. Kawasaki heavy industries is known for building tough motors in many cases better than Honda and there are numerous examples! Here are two CB750 versus Z1 900 CR 500 versus KX500 and so on. Both of those Kawasaki motors were rated better than Honda's. Kawasaki also made in Japan of course
HI Anthony, I agree with you, there are certain makes and models they are considered better than Honda, I believe I gave a fair assessment of the Klt200, comparing it to the same year equivalent Honda the 200es. Each manufacture has there strong suit. I give credit where credit is due. I had a 99 KX250 and nothing could touch it. some machines just work better than others.
@@Mrcbuilds Absolutely True. You are fortunate to have a nice little property and work on kind of machines that you like and get to enjoy your life. I am glad you are doing it.

I had one in red. Rode it often and for about 5 years. Don't remember what happened to it. Many good memories.
I hear that the most, these ol 3 wheelers bring back a lot of good memories. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the information, Kollin Yes the 200m was kind of a crossover also

Thank you sir, yes the black and gold is a classic look and screams the 1980s

Thank you Matty for all the info. I have recently seen a Duckster in person, it was very rough shape.

Looks pretty clean!
Yes it is.
Nice weird looking bike! Saw it also on marketplace too!
That marketplace-itice will get you.
That is a nice machine. Unfortunately, I have no info to share. But, thank you for sharing it with us.
Anytime MC
You know Aaron that is cool I’ve never seen one. Hope you are safe Wednesday and after. Front suspension is cool
glad you found a complete trike, I imagine parts are a little harder to find vs a honda.
Hi john, yes, i have learned the more obscure a machine is, the better condition it need to be in when you buy it. Lol
Good to see yea buddy, hope you don't get hacked by the next hurricane. Nice little unit.
I hope so too
👍nice ride brother
Thank you Sir
The KLT250's are electrical nightmares, never had a 200
I will keep that in mind, thank you
Pretty nice.. where did u find that...??? Or should I say how??

Ran from police? Lol no he didnt say that!. Thanks for watching.
Always thought the Differential disconnect was interesting.
I agree with you but not sure how often you would really use it.
Not sure if it’s sport or utility but I am sure it’s cool!
Yes it really is.
More of a hybrid get a 160 if u want a light utility/tight trail runner

@mrcbuilds , quel est le comparatif avec un Honda ATC 200 S ?
Yep utility. No track record there. Still very cool.
Fast it aint. Its geared low and very torquey
Nice video brother. This thing is obviously designed for drag racing.
Definitely!
It's Kawi's version of the ATC200M lol
Kind of a crossover machine
How do I contact you bout this thing??? Always watching and subscribing but never commenting...lol
Im on facebook and intagram. Mrcbuilds.
C is generation code on Kawasaki. Your tecate is an A1 for 1st year of the first A generation
Ah ha. Kinda had the old PBS Masterpiece Theater intro on this one.
Lol, that thought cross my mind, it really did .

Well it's official, though I bleed red I want one of those Kawasaki 3 wheelers
Its a pretty cool machine for sure.
Thinking finders fee
84 atc 200s is a sports machine. No rear suspension.
I personally wouldn't categorize the 200S as a sports machine. 200X, 350X. 250R for sure. The 200S is a kids machine.
I think it would suck to take out that motor.
I think it drops out the bottom.
Here
Thanks Cain
