Love the channel. I have a 82 that is 4 speed. After watching i thought i had a transplant. Nope i dont . 4 speed was from 82 through 85 . Now the 85 is the only year that had 4 up . My 82 has 4 down .Had to do some research. Figured id spread the knowledge.
Great buy! That machine would be listed at $2000 around here. I have that weird thing with spark going down the outside of the spark plug. Only fix I found so far is swapping the spark plug, I keep a second one handy and swap them back and forth, it’s so weird.
Fantastic! Enjoy the multi step process to see what you've got. I don't sell out of my house anymore, and I don't follow ads on the computer for purchases. Thru my seat cover sideline I've met plenty of guys that flip machines every week and they offer machines to me that need seat covers, tires, etc. that they don't want to deal with for a 24 or 48 hour sale but couldn't turn it down for the price. Otherwise, at the shop I hear about everything that comes in the door with the buyers price, how long it's been neglected, and his limit for spending on repairs. If interested, I might step in and show a little interest, if not, I move on. I don't go to anyone's property, and very few have seen mine, just the way I like it. Can't wait for the metal seat pan adventure, I don't touch them if the tabs are rusting off, that's the danger zone on OEM seat pans. Good luck.
@@Mrcbuilds that’s not as bad as I was thinking. Thanks for the videos. Watching the clutch video now. Think my Big Red is needing both clutches replaced.
Would love to come across one like that that needs just a little tlc for that kind of money. Would keep it for my granddaughters. By the time they're old enough to ride my 200X, I might be too old to teach them!
That’s a nice little machine, I’d like to get one for my collection, I’m in Ontario Canada where everything is way overpriced, you’d be lucky to get that for 1500 here
Mr C I just picked up an 84 atc70 this past weekend, had one brand new when I was 5 years old, excited to bring this one back to life. I was worried about the clicking noise when the rear wheels roll, the one in this video is doing the exact same thing. Is that normal? I was worried thinking the tensioner was bad or the sprocket was stripped.
this one was not fully in gear when I spun the tires in the video, it was between 1st and neutral. yours may be the same verify its in neutral and spin again, some noise is normal chain/sprocket

Your right Todd, i should have said the only year up shift. Thanks for keeping the facts straight.
I had one exactly like that when I was 7 haven’t seen that in so long
@@Dak12589 there still out there! May be time for another one!

Awesome video man. I dream of finding one. I don't know if I ever will
Thank you. It has taken me a year to find this one. You can do the same.

The best "deals" are the ones never listed. Glad to hear the seat business is booming.
Awesome score, sounds like a good runner. Hope you made it through the hurricane ok.
Hi Pat, yes the last storm wasnt near us, thankfully. The atc70 seems to be very solid, aside from some rust on the muffler its in excellent shape.
Cool. Happy late birthday brother.
Thanks Cain.
Have one of those 70’s in the shed
Hi James, time to bring her out!
Very nice machine 👌
Thank you Dylan
All my 70s have been 1985. Definitely the most sales in that year
Lol, so its not just me. Thanks for watching
I had one as a kid in the 90s. I’d like to find another one for my son. I haven’t started looking yet because I might get sticker shock.
I have seen many in good condition in the $1500 price range.

Location is everything. This one would sell for that may be a bit more. Thanks for watching.
does the 84 200m have spark advance springs"
Yes, all the 185- 200cc machines have them.
@@Mrcbuilds thanks,I asked before looking
